We purchased a tankless heater several years ago and paid to have them install something so hot water water was immediate. It never worked. Bryan came out more recently to "fix" that issue and charged us $125. That, too, hasn't worked. He then said he expected it wouldn't work and said for another $95 he could install something else. I've left three messages for him to call and he won't return our calls. I've never left a negative review here before, but this is bad business - especially for a new owner. I might add he was a no-show at his first apppointment with us. Can't recommend, sadly. read more

I apprexiated Bryan and Tank Yankers communicatio, honesty and promptness. I knew I was having issues with my water heaters and asked Bryan and his team to come clean them out. We chatted about the issues, the age of my heaters and decided it was better to replace them. obviously a big monetary swing from just cleaning to full replacement. But Bryan worked with me and gave me a great offer. and he didn't just replace the tanks. he fixed our emergency shutoff valves, gas lines, drain pans and vents. i was very pleased. He also came out the same week I called him which was an added bonus. read more

I had a water leak in my front yard near the main house cut off valve. There was a shark bite the previous plumber used that failed. Bryan's quote was very fair and much less than others. He was very honest with what needed to be done and what he would do to repair the leak permanently. I would highly recommend Tank Yankers Plumbing and will be referring my friends! read more

Update: BARBOSA PLUMBING just came out fixed what the Yankers couldn't fix ( or maybe would not fix) for 5 years. The Yankers were just YANKING MY CHAIN, suggesting I buy a new unit! BARBOSA Plumbing claims my Noritz could easily last another 10 years. Original: I had tankless water system installed by Tank Yankers. Not long after, the unit became unreliable and I had it serviced a number of times by Tank Yankers. The issues were never solved. Today I took off work to be home when another service was scheduled. While waiting for the owner to show up, I received a call from his office that he would NOT be coming. No reason was given. I was told by the owner, Kent, that I should check YouTube videos and do the required maintenance myself! Can you believe this?? This company/owner is very unprofessional, very rude and just pathetic for treating customers this way. I still can't believe it. I spent a lot of $$ for this unit. They don't care after the sale obviously. I strongly suggest NOT using this company. Don't let them YANK YOUR CHAIN too. read more

Tank yanker installed my tankless water heater in December 2010. After a few few years, I started noticing black particle in the water, especially when we fill the bath tub. Since it started more frequently, I decided to contacted Tank yanker. He came and said it is water problem, he said he can install a water filter for $550. I said, we are just treating symptom not the cause. I decided to contact the manufacturer Noritz. They also said, it could be water problem. I said, there are many people in our neighborhood who has tankless water heater and none of them have this problem. I called another plumber and he said it is the problem with flex pipe Tank yanker used which has rubber inside to connect the hot water output to copper pipe. He replaced it and our problem is solved. When he took the flex pipe out, the rubber inside was disintegrated and was coming out. I think Tank yanker knew the problem, but he did not want to admit and want to get another $550 to just correct the symptom. I do not know this was just an oversight during the installation or intentional, but he could have easily fixed it. read more

Beware, if you have a problem they will try to sell you something that you don't need instead of fixing the problem with parts. Please be very cautious with this company as they were overly nice the first few times we have used them. Company also will sell you something much less than what your home needs in order to get your business. Will cause you problems down the road. They will not take any accountability for issues! read more

I really hate to give them only 2 stars because they do a great job when they actually get to the job site. My problems began 8 months after their initial install of a Navien Tankless system. The TACO flood stop valve stopped working so I called for them to repair. Also the recirc sytem was not allowing cold water to my kitchen sink so I asked them to remove that and reset the unit. They did the work everything seemed fine. This was on a Friday afternoon, Saturday morning no hot water. This company does not answer emergency calls on the weekend so what do I do. On Sunday I decided to call Navien, which does take calls 7 days a week. They talked me through some resets and got hot water. However, Navien indicated that some of the piping was wrong and they also said I should put the recirc back in operation. I called Tank Yanker to discuss and the owner was to call, but never did. That was on Monday, Tuesday night I was at a meeting and my wife called and said we did not have hot water again. It appeared the TACO malfunctioned since it automatically shutdown when there was no water. When I got home, I did notice a water drip from the inlet pipe to the unit but there was no water near the Taco sensor. I called Tank Yanker at 4:45 but no answer. Called the next morning still no answer. By now I realize they do not want to work on my stuff and left me hanging with a potential flooding issue on my hands if things got worse. They did finally call me 3 hours later and left a message to set up an appointment 7 days from today. Bottom line, they are too busy or just don't care to help their customers when they really need them. Fed up with the whole situation, I have called another plumber for help which they said they would try to make it this afternoon but at the latest be on site in the morning. I am not putting the company down, but this is not a company I want to do business with in the future. read more

I told the operator my problem and water heater model. she booked the appointment the next day for a window of 11am-1230pm. I get a text at 1230 saying that they dont work on that specific water heater and that they wont be coming. what a chicken shit way to handle business. not only do I not have hot water, but they made an appointment to fix it. WASTE OF TIME HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE WOULDNT GIVE THEM A DIME. FIND ANOTHER PLUMBER YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. Kent and Julio are straight forward and genuine....just good guys. They are determined to fix the problem and work with the situation. Despite my mother's can-tankerous (sorry) ways they have worked with us to fix a very bad gas leak. You better hurry if you want them though, because after this they may find another line of work. haha! read more

Great service! I called on a Friday morning with no hot water. I was asked to send a picture of the brand and model so they could bring parts if needed. They arrived within 2 hours of my call. My 9 year old water heater was still under warranty so I paid just for labor to have a new thermostat installed. 2 other companies told me they couldn't come until Monday/Tuesday and never asked about what unit I had. I have the same comment as the others who gave them a one star rating. We moved into a house that had a tankless installed by Tank Yankers. The heater sprung a leak in April 2018 and they did show up right away on a Friday late afternoon to look at it. The tech looked at it and said we needed a new heat exchanger to replace the one they installed just two years ago (April 2016). The tech said that he would find out if the part was under warranty and call us back. He called us later Friday night stating he could not get a hold of anyone at the manufacturer in CA and it would have to wait till Monday morning. We started calling them Monday morning and called 6 times during the day. We finally received a call back late in the day on Monday that the part was not covered under any warranty (only 2 years old) and did we want to order another one (at full price). That part would be shipped from CA and would not be in their hands till Wed. We had been without hot water since Friday night. They seemed to have no sense of urgency for a repair on a product they initially installed and repaired just two years earlier for the same symptom. We ended up replacing the tankless with a regular hot water heater on Tuesday. I would never recommend this company. read more
