They are not pushy about products, but they do help you find ones that fit your hair's needs. I really like my hair stylist and have been a return customer that doesn't bring her kids usually but if you have kids and a babysitter cancels they won't tell you that you can't bring them when you walk in and then make you uncomfortable the whole time. When you're paying $300 you shouldn't feel like that when stuff happens. It's summer break. There's ton of family friendly salons in town so keep that in mind. read more

The haircut I got was good and matched what I asked for. My hair is already pretty blonde just needed my roots to match and the color is absolutely horrendous. I didn't even realize how bad it was until I got home and really looked at it, because my friend said it looked bad. there are random chunks of color and there's barely even any color... this is not a root touch up.. my roots are copper instead of ash blonde. honestly really surprised she let me walk out of there with my hair like this after paying $330. Update to original review: Looks like they're on the right track for customer service. The management reached out to rectify this experience. Just moved to the area and decided to try the first salon i got a recommendation to. I don't usually leave reviews but i want to save someone from having a bad hair day like me. The lady i was recommended wasn't available for the day i needed so CJ gave me my haircut. When i arrived at the salon i was 15 min early to be respectful. I was greeted with a cold "what's your name?" that wasn't very welcoming. They didn't get me in until 20 minutes passed my appointment time but there was only two customers and several staff members. As for the service, I am open-minded as i know hair grows back but i left the salon with my hair looking worse then when i came in. I asked for my dead-ends to be trimmed and a little thinning out. I specifically asked for long layers and no blunt ends. I got no layers and all the blunt ends. Online it says that a cut & style is offered together however i left with boring, flat hair. It was not styled at all. i wasn't happy so i politely asked her to fix the blunt ends some more. I was still not happy with the final look. Left a tip because she did perform a service for me. Might give it another shot later down the road. read more

I brought my 17 year old daughter here for a full highlight a couple weeks ago. The stylist..i dont want to blast her specifically on here so I'll leave her name out..told me it may take a couple hours and that I could step out since it would take a while. So while I was gone, my daughter showed the stylist a photo of what she wanted her hair to look like. My daughter's hair was a dark auburn/brown...she showed her a photo of super light blonde. My daughter texted me saying that the stylist said it would be an extra $100 for color correcting. 3 hours later, she's finished with my daughters hair. so I go to the salon to pick her up. Her hair is platinum blonde and extremely damaged. Sister looked like the scarecrow from Wizard of Oz. I get to the register and the total charge is $600 after a 10% tip. I contacted the manager the next day because honestly I could tell my daughter was so embarrassed and just wanted to get out of there. The manager was apologetic but still didn't verbalize responsibility on behalf of the stylist that she as a professional should've been realistic with a child that it's not safe for her hair to go from that dark to that light in one treatment. they kept putting the blame on my daughter. They said that's what my daughter asked for so that's what she did. They also did not offer any type of refund. My issue is we go to a professional for a reason..to trust that they will provide expert services. I could've fried my daughter's hair at home for $30 myself. Instead, I paid $600 for a 'professional' to destroy my child's hair two weeks before her senior photos. The manager did offer a free conditioning treatment that would given by the same stylist that destroyed her hair..I declined. I don't trust them. I won't be coming back and do not recommend them to anyone. I only rated one star because zero stars was not an option. read more

They do not wear masks!!! I walked in here in January 2021, when COVID death toll had reached 400,000 lives ... I was shocked to see that the salon was very crowded and about half of the employees had their masks pulled down to below their chins. When I first entered the salon, I saw that the receptionist was not wearing a mask, which made me uncomfortable. While she was looking up my appointment in the computer, I got a look at the salon behind her, and what I saw looked like pre-pandemic times. About 20 people were in the small salon, and I'd say about half of the stylists were not wearing their masks. I did not get a chance to look at the customers sitting in chairs because I immediately left. Passing someone in the grocery store without a mask on is one thing, but sitting for an hour while someone cuts my hair, 1 foot away from me, is much more dangerous. I can't believe they take the pandemic this lightly. Instead I went to a salon in East Nashville where they were strictly enforcing mask wearing. read more

I had originally booked an appointment with a different stylist, she was unable to be at my appointment, and they were still able to get me in the same day. Sylvia (it might be spelled Sylwia) is amazing! My all over color is perfection and the cut is just what I was looking for. She definitely didn't get scissor happy. The original stylist I booked is a level 1 and Sylvia is a level 3. They honored the level 1 pricing, because that was my original booking price. Everyone was amazing and so sweet! They really did go above a land beyond! I have already booked my follow up appointment and will be paying her well deserved level 3 pricing, of course! read more

She was wanting to get her hair totally redone for the first time in years; cut, color, etc. After being extremely excited with our engagement pictures coming up, she showed up (a couple minutes late because of MJ traffic) and the woman doing her hair told her she only had 10 minutes left of her 30 minute time slot until the next appointment. Yes, they knew before that she wanted a cut, and color, and everything that takes literally about TWO HOURS... they were very rude to her, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

I really like the haircut and customer service I received at Tangles. My girl was super sweet and will go back in the future. I was surprised that me and my hair stylist were the only ones wearing masks and the place was packed! I think if you have a mask on or off, your stylist will follow what you're doing. I recently had a baby and this was my first outing. I was pretty shocked at the lack of precautions. If you are worried about covid exposure, you might want to try somewhere else or wait a little longer. read more

PROS: As a brand new customer, I was able to get an appointment in less than a week, and I have learned the importance of finding high-quality salon services. CONS: My choppy, uneven haircut and brassy highlights reflect the inexperience of the hairdresser, and the manager on duty offered NO solace or reprieve. I will have to spend much more money to have my hair color corrected. read more

My stylist does great work. However, I can no longer support a business that doesn't care about the safety of their clients. In the midst of a global pandemic and a mask mandate, over half the people in the salon today were not wearing masks. It's a simple thing to do.
