I found Kenzo through a quick Yelp search and chose it based on the pricing and proximity to my house. It was tough to find at first at the salon is actually up the stairs in side the building on the corner downtown. When I arrived I was immediately greeted by the receptionist and checked in to a bright, well kept space. My stylist, Liz, was very professional and kept great conversation the whole time - I could really tell she was passionate about her work. She was thoughtful in making her cuts and asked my preference for the blowout for my final product. I was pleased with the cut, a reshaping job she did to my hair. The session ended with a small gift bag with hair product samples, it was so cute. I was pleasantly surprised with the price as well - $52 for a cut and blow is the least I've spent on a salon appointment in years. It had been about a week an a half since my visit and I had received some unmarked mail at my apartment. When I opened it I was shocked to have received a handwritten thank you note from my stylist. Despite having an overall stellar experience before, this small gesture really solidified my positive experience ex Kenzo. I did a keratin treatment, and because I have a thick long strong Asian hair, so it usually takes more time to do treatment. Renee is so good at treating Asian hair and I was surprised that she has lots of experience with Asian hair before. My hair comes out smooth, shiny, silky and much lighter than before. Besides, The product I used which is called 'Brazilian blowout' is the best I have used ever, it doesn't have any punchy smell. Alex really listened to the color I wanted (unlike previous hair stylists) and finally gave me the bayalage I'd been looking for for years!
