Through my roommate, I was recommended to Stephanie's Hair Design and decided "why not?" Number 1: I am very easy going with my hair so I like to see what stylists/colorists can come up with to give me a new look. Number 2: I am usually pampered by mom and get $70+ haircuts and colors. Now being on my own, I was interested to see what Stephanie's could offer me! I was given an appointment with Kristen for 10 AM and I always show up about 10 minutes early to appointments. She took me right away and I was very happy to be greeted by Stephanie herself as well when I walked in. Overall, I am obsessed with my haircut! The price... I am even more in love with and the fact that the salon has a "refer-a-friend" discount is awesome (both my roommate and I are receiving a discount)! Kristen gave me amazing layers and worked with a difficult "bang-situation" I had going on from a previous cut. She was very easy to talk to and extremely knowledgeable. She listened to my concerns and did exactly what she thought I needed. She was also very careful not to over-cut, which I will admit happens all too much at salons. I immediately set up a follow-up appointment and cannot wait to go back!

Everyone I spoke with, including hairdressers said that was inappropriate for her to charge me again, especially since she's the owner. I definitely do not recommend this shop.

I'm not sure there are enough stars on Yelp to give a high enough review of Michele at Salon…read moreWillington. To say that she changed the way I think about my skin only scratches the surface. Other facials I have received have always felt a bit "going through the motions" at various points or throughout all of the facial. With Michele, her passion for esthetics and her client's needs are so evident not in how she talks, but in every part of each service. I have had my eyebrows waxed and tinted by Michele. I was so nervous about the color being too dark, and she listened to me, explained what she was doing the entire time, and then showed me right away. They were perfect. The facial I received from Michele truly (as I said above) was life changing for me in the way I care for my skin. Michele treated my skin as it were gold - slowing down, assessing its needs, using the best products - and it changed my skin regimen completely. I slow down now and care for my skin - I cannot believe how incredible my skin looks. I've never received so many compliments nor have I ever had this much confidence going make up free. Michele is an experienced esthetician, but she is more than someone with many years in the industry. She is studied, passionate, caring and she listens. I'm working facials into my monthly budget now - because she is truly the best!

I can't speak for the other stylists because I've been to Kim the last 2 times I've visited. Prior to that I had Denise who, I've learned, is no longer working there. She was good, too. I'm a senior (and I'm not talking high school) who hates making appointments. I love to walk in and, hopefully, be taken care of. Maybe I sound cheap (and maybe I am), but I don't think you need to pay a lot of money for a haircut. At Casual Cuts you won't, and yet it's every bit as good as the fancy-pants salons with their "blow bars" and other trendy offerings. I'm reluctant to heap praise on Kim, 'tho she deserves it, because this could mean the next time I visit she'll be too busy with other customers. Oh well, it's worth the wait.

Twice in the last few months the person who was doing my hair cancelled the morning of. I completely understand life happens - people get sick, emergencies arise, but when it happens twice in a row, the salon should do something more then send a generic text and then ignore their customers. After my replies to said text were not answered, I had to take it upon myself to call the salon to see if they could get me in another time. I made this appointment FIVE WEEKS in advance and needed my hair done for an event over the weekend. The woman on the phone was not very nice. When I expressed I was disappointed because this is the second time in a row this happened, she just said "we can't have people work when they're sick..." she completely missed the point. If I get cancelled on last minute, twice in a row, and you can't accommodate a new reservation, give your customer a discount or a free hair product. Not an attitude. Especially when the salon would have gladly charge me in FULL if I was the one to cancel last minute. Thankfully, I was able to find a place in the area that took me last minute so I will be paying them from now on. There are plenty of other places, who charge better, and care about their customers, so tread carefully with this place.
