The worst salon experience I have ever had. I'm still pinching myself and asking "Is this real life?"
My usual hairdresser moved to a different state so I have been looking for a new one. I have been to two other stylists and although they were ok, I wasn't wowed and continued my search which led me to Salon Bogart. It looked cute, it was right down the street from my house and so I thought I'd give it a shot.
WORST DECISION EVER.
I met with the stylist there, I have mentally blocked out her name, but she is the owner of Salon Bogart. I had (had!! :( ;( ) long hair, past my shoulders with long layers in the front. I went in looking for a full foil and just a little trim. I also explained to her that I wanted a brighter blonde for summer. What I got was bright yellow chunky stripes that didn't blend into my hair at all, the foils were so badly placed they didn't even get to my root, my hair has broken off completely and she gave me the dreaded "Rachel" layers in the front, totally thinned them out and the two sides don't even match. The shortest, thinned out layer is to my chin!! :(
I didn't have my contacts in because my allergies were acting up that day so I didn't really see how bad this was until I got home. I was appalled. This is the worst thing to have happened to my hair, ever. I called her, this happened on Friday, April 17th, and she just called me back yesterday to set up an appointment for this morning, April 23rd. The salon was not open between that time, despite there being a sign "Open 6 Days a week" on their front door. I had to wear a hat the entire week because the foils were placed to badly and it showed when I tried to put my hair up.
So I went in this morning. Showed her the mess. And she had the audacity to tell me, and I quote, "FOILS DON'T GO ALL THE WAY TO THE ROOT. YOU NEED A ONE PROCESS FOR THAT." What the what????? I asked her to please tell me if she is joking? Not only do they not go all the way to the root, they were horribly placed! And she said that she could "Put some darker foils in, if I want." ???????? Regarding my choppy, uneven, short layers she said "It is not that bad but I can cut them shorter and make both sides match. Actually I didn't do that much to your hair." I told her, no, since you don't even admit or acknowledge what you did or supposedly even see it, I do not trust you with my hair again. I just want my $198 back. And she said, no way. Just no.
I was, and am, still in total shock. I cannot believe a supposed professional, a salon owner! would act like this. She completely ruined my hair and made feel really uncomfortable. LIKE I was in an alternate universe, or it was opposites day. How is this salon in operation?? I have no clue.
So now I sit here with the worst highlights, worst haircut, my hair dry and breaking off, $198 down the drain, and in total shock. Wow, just wow. read more
