Being from Orlando, I was in search of a really cool outlet mall. People told me about Tanger 1 & 2 so I had to go. Tanger 1 was very quiet. Really convenient walking distance to all the stores but nothing that caught our attention. Tanger 2 had much more for us, we are a couple in our mid 20's. Very pleasant atmosphere and nice stores. The Nike store is AWESOME. If you go to Tanger outlets, go to NIKE at Tanger 1. Best sales and apparel I have ever seen. read more

Many great stores and great prices! Gap and Swarovkis had some really good deals! We go back there every time we visit the area!

Be sure to check out both Tanger 1 & 2--they are about 1/4 mile from each other. They have a wide variety of stores and the HHI one also has a Salty Dog outlet. But, as with all outlet malls, you have to be a savvy shopper. If you are an outlet mall fan, definitely make the trip. We often stop on our way to the island, before our condo is ready, a rainy day, or if we've just had too much sun. :) read more

I've been visiting this location since the late 80's. It used to be the Low Country Outlets, and at some point they added the second location. I realize I sound like a grumpy old man, but it's not what it used to be. Outlets used to be more like shopping at TJ Maxx, where you found a lot of closeout or slightly irregular merchandise. I think it was somewhere in the 90's that outlet stores became just like regular stores, except usually a little lower quality than the mall version of these brands. If you're willing to take the time, and do some prep work you can still find a good deal. I was pretty disappointed with the coupon book, in most cases you had to spend a lot to get a discount. On my latest trip, I managed to score some nice clearance items, but the regular stuff didn't seem any cheaper than places like Belk. As far as the location it's great. The stores are clean, parking is easy, and the bathrooms are outstanding. Also the customer service always seems to be great. I wish they had a few more stores, with deeper discounts. read more

Best place to shop in the area by far! I love that the Tanger Outlets have a wide variety of stores for both men and womens. GREAT discounts and I highly suggest becoming a Tanger Outlet vip member to get even better deals. I have received multiple free giftcards. Wouldn't shop anywhere else. read more

I buy most if not all of my clothing and fits at Tanger. They have famous brands like Nike, Polo, Tommy Hilfiger, and many more. Walking around is fun and I have never been disappointed while visiting the outlets. They also have an Olive Garden in one of the 2 locations so I normally stop there to eat when i'm hungry. I'm pretty sure that's not the only place there that sells food but that's the only place I know of. Bathrooms are also excellent. The only reason why I didn't give Tanger Outlets 5 stars is because I still have to go to somewhere else when I want a pair of Jordan Retro's but if you are into Nike, Famous Footwear, or Rack Room Shoes, you will be pleased. read more

On a recent trip to the Tanger Outlets Hilton Head, I stopped at one outlet shop for a specific item and another favorite to see what they had. In both cases the staff members were very helpful and friendly. I was also able to secure bonus coupons with my AAA membership card at customer service. Although my visit on this occasion was limited to two stores due to time constraints, I was able to take care of my shopping needs quickly and efficiently and was assured if I wasn't satisfied with my purchases that they could be returned. read more

2 star is because prices are high plus had very bad experience at polo store employees are very rude they do not ring in right prices or correct discount do not honor advertised coupons so please be prepared for worst experience at polo store in the outlet... read more

Love to go to coach and score a bargain. Also I always seem to find what I need at Legs/Hanes/Bali. The coupon book is pretty much useless since you have to spend a large amount to use most of them. read more

Tanger Outlet in Hilton Head is worth the trip. The only reason I did not give 5 stars review, is the lady in the service office where I stopped to get my coupon book did not have the typical southern charm. She was not friendly or welcoming. read more

The Tanger Outlet stores in Hilton Head (Bluffton) are awesome! I always find great deals at both outlet 1 and 2. I love the ability to simply park and walk outdoors to access each store. Even if only to browse- I certainly recommend going to Tanger for a nice outing. Unfortunately, the only thing I have an issue with is that I spend way to much money when there. read more

Pretty good outlet. Some stores are overpriced for outlets---- Brooks Brothers, Ann Taylor Loft and some others as well are very pricey for outlets. The Brroks Brothers women's section is very meager and things look like they've been hanging there for years. Ralph Laure/ Polo usually has good deals. You can only get lunch/ food in Tanger 1 and you can only get the coupon book in Tanger 2. Wish they would do something about that. read more

Tanger Outlets in Bluffton/Hilton Head is a fun place to shop. The merchants are friendly and the prices are decent. You can shop a while in the fine stores and then visit a while at one of the restaurants. Don't waste time searching all over town for what you need, you can find it all at Tanger. read more

Review is specific to Oakley Outlet store. My husbands glasses needed to be repaired but the company no longer made that style so we were offered an upgrade with a trade in. The manager on duty (from Pooler store) told us we could have 25% off on any pair PLUS if we purchased a new pair she was able to take off an additional $35. To confirm the price of the new pair my husband specifically asked "so they would be around $115? " The mod said yes something like that plus tax. The total purchase came to over 170.00!!! We were caught off guard because we were like holy cow how can the tax rate be that high in SC? We looked at the receipt and discovered she didn't give us the $35 that she said she would if we bought the glasses today. When we asked her about it she responds with "Oh yeah sorry I cant give you both discounts. You can return them if you want to." Totally feel duped! There was no misunderstanding and we repeated what she said to confirm what she was telling us. We kept the glasses because he loved the pair he had customized. However, do not trust the management team. Apparently they have been trained to use used car salesman tactics! Not impressed with the sales process or level of service. read more

We go to Tanger on Hilton Head Island several times while we vacation there. It is clean and has a good variety of stores. Because there are 2 located close together, we hit both of them when we go. Also a great place to go when it rains, and the beach is not an option. I look for the sale items as the coupon book is not a help since you have to purchase so much to use most of them. read more
