Ive grown up just down the road from tangs palace and it has been a place I have visited with my family, friends, clients and I even took my first girlfriend there when I was younger, where funny enough she expressed that one of her pet dislikes was dirty finger nails, as I leaned back saying ahh really that's an interesting one I grabbed my glass of lemon lime and bitters whilst lifting it to take a sip I gave the side eye to my fingernails, much like the chef who peeks his head out the kitchen door scanning to ensure everyone is happy with their food, it turns out I was in luck "i must have cut them the day before" because it wasn't part of my usual first date prep never the less after discovering this bonus I waved my clean fingernails at her like mr bean would if he was to show his clean fingernails,
Well this is all detracting from the review isn't it so let me make it up to the infamous tangs palace I've been eating here whenever I've had the taste for that unbeatable authentic flavour found nowhere else for I'd say nearly 30 years, their food is quickly served, absolutely delishes every time you go there and kids menu is well thought out making them a pleasure to exist, if you like fried ice cream be sure to add one of those to your order best served with caramel topping...yum,
if your in a fun mood with 8 or more guests of may be fortunate enough to score the round table with the round spinning thing in the middle it's got good bearings and is great fun to take turns seeing who can spin it the fastes without making any food fall off.
If your picking up din din they have a lovely selection of slightly dated magazines and newspapers as well as an array of comic books for the kids to keep them quiet if they happen to be with you for the experience.
To date they are still the only Chinese food Resturant that lives up to "ooohh that'll be 5-10 mini" except if you order fried ice cream take away they cook that when you arrive so that it doesn't melt to much by the time you have finished your meal, they are truely a great place and almost forgot try their three story prawns dipped in sweet and sour sauce it's the best and still a dish I have not found in an other resturant love this place 5 stars for experience all the way. read more
