We dined in the upstairs portion of the restaurant ( which is tucked in a multi use building ). Service was friendly and attentive. Food was absolutely delicious. Fresh seafood. Fresh veggies. Portions were decent sized. They do have some pricing quirks to be aware of: There is a minimum spend per person and I believe it varies with party size. They charge a 10% surcharge on Sundays. Not sure if this standard in other restaurants but I doubt it. I'm mentioning it so diners on Sunday are aware. I liked the food enough that I just chalked it up to a vacation u expected expense. I'd eat there again if I had the chance. Notorious MD approved!

The fish was light and delicate with a side of wasabi mayo to dip! A must order if it is on the menu. The Wagyu massaman beef was tasty and tender. The only dish we thought wasn't up to scratch was the Masterstock pork belly, it was over done and very tough. But the Morten Bay bugs and the Sichuan chilli chicken wings was a winner! The dessert menu had some Asian choices, but I loved the hokey pokey parfait with charred Nashi pear, honeycomb pieces and finger limes. Delicious and yummy! The yuzu and lime creme brûlée with fennel soil and passionfruit was refreshing and light. To top off the meal, I finished with a 2017 Marian botrytis semillon. A fantastic meal to celebrate Chinese NewYear with family. An excellent choice!

Can't disagree with him... ~ Elderflower Gin & Tonic - 4/5 A good balance of Gin and Tonic. Not strong, just refreshing. ~ CR06. Peking Duck Roti - 4/5 Shredded Peking duck with cucumber, hoisin sauce rolledinside a flaky Chinese roti. Tasty, good flavor...probably because of the Hoisin sauce. This is more like a fusion dish. ~ DS04. Chicken Shui Mai - 4/5 Chicken and prawn shui mai topped with tobiko. Standard Shui Mai, done correctly, very good but not outstanding. ~ HN01. Fried Spinach Noodle w/ Seafood - 5/5 Handmade spinach noodles wok fried with prawns, mussels in shell, calamari, julienned carrots and fresh shiitake mushrooms. AMAZING!!! Those Spinach noodles...I would come here just for those! Delish! Can't say I had Spinach noodles this good before...My new benchmark! ~ HN07. Beef Brisket Noodle - 4.5/5 Handmade noodles served with slow cooked beef brisket and minced beef with diced fresh chilli. So much flavor, love the sauce! Once again...those noodles! This was probably a fantastic dish, but just got out shined by the Spinach Noodles. ~ MD04. Lychee & Mint Duck - 5/5 Our most popular roast duck with lychees served in a light mint and chilli plum sauce (half duck). I thought this sounded strange and didn't know what to expect...sooo glad I tried it! The flavor profile was just amazing. I thought the Lychee and plum would have mad the dish too sweet, but nope! That sauce is one of the best and most creative things I tasted. There is a Gluten Free option available as well! ~ MD09. Diced Salt & Pepper Wagyu Beef - 4/5 Flash fried, medium wagyu beef served in bite sizes with crushed black pepper and a black pepper dipping sauce. Brilliant Beef dish! Love it!! Even though Chefs Gallery is a fairly large venue, it's a popular spot and fills up fast. There were some dishes I didn't even get a chance to take a pic off. I would gladly return here. (besides maybe in the San Gabriel Valley) The xiao long bao was super juicy and not dry at all. The meat inside and the outside dumpling part of it were put together perfectly and I loved every bit of it. The soups were incredibly flavorful that I could've had many more bowls of it. Overall, the staff was very helpful and all of the delicious food didn't take too long to be made and served to us. I definitely need to come back to try the iconic Peking Duck!
