Having lived in southern Ontario for years, I was used to great Indian food. It was a delight to dine here last night. The food was delicious. We had the Chicken Tikka and the Lamb Vindaloo and the Jeera rice. Portion size was plenty enough to take home enough for lunch. The service was exceptionally friendly and attentive. Sat down at 715. Wait staff loved to claim we didn't sit until 7:45. In reality this was due to the absolute awful service we got. We ordered 2 mango lassis and 1 beer. It took an hour for the mango lassis to come and an hour and a half for the beer! Food was subpar; one of my friends received an ice cold tikka wrap while the other received one that was freshly made. Not to mention the ice cold one was the first food to come out when we ordered 3 appetizers. The first appetizer did not come out for an hour and yet one of us had already received our meal??? The last appetizer did not come out until meals came. Several times we saw food runners fingers dipped into our dishes; they were gloveless. When we tried to ask questions about the whole ordeal, the wait staff would avoid and run away; their lack of professionalism and attention was never acknowledged. When we asked to speak to the manager we were gifted a smug look and silence. We were never able to speak with a manager. Instead one of the food runners persistently blamed the one woman in the building saying it was all her fault because she was new. Whether she is new or not... she wasn't making our food. There was NOBODY else in the restaurant eating, HOWEVER they kept claiming that they were busy with door dash orders. Putting 3rd party food runners before physical customers is despicable. They tried to ease our tensions by taking 2 meals off (aka $25 off of a $200 bill) - in my eyes at least half of the food and drinks should have been taking off the bill. The most attention we received all night was when one of the workers were worried that we were going to run without paying the bill so he stood over our shoulder for 15 minutes like the gestapo, when analyzing the bill. LASTLY after we already paid. We were chased out by the cowardly manager that never showed his face claiming that we still needed to pay because 2 meals were never put onto the bill... So we were forced to pay YET AGAIN because of their lack of communication and refusal to give us a discount on their god awful service. If you read this review and go here - you have a thick skull. We went here for dinner one night in the hope of getting some Indian food. What we got instead was a group of apathetic and incompetent staff. When we showed up the restaurant was completely empty and we were the only party so naturally we thought that the food would come quickly but we were wildly mistaken. We didn't see a server for about 20 minutes. Once she finally came over and we placed our order and thought that was a little strange but we are back on track. Then an hour later we saw no drinks, no appetizers that we ordered, and no food. Instead we were witnessing the entire staff strolling back and fourth from the kitchen to the bar area on the phone. We finally asked if we could get our drinks to which they seemed confused as to why we were asking for the drinks and appetizers we ordered over an hour ago. Then three different people from the kitchen came over to confirm what we ordered each employee was more incompetent than the last. The food finally came and as you probably guessed half of the orders were wrong, things were missing, and much of it was cold. By this point we were so hungry that we just ate the food and then asked one of our many servers/chefs/hosts what we were going to do about the inconvenience or if we could speak to a manager. This is where it really went downhill, the man we were dealing with was flabbergasted that we were complaining about the terrible service and told us that they didn't have a manager (makes sense). I went for lunch and paid 14.99$ for JUST butter chicken (chicken in the sauce), then another 4 $ for rice (why not just put the rice on the side??) and another 4$ for naan bread. Worst food and worst service. They dont know anything about test and receipe. It took 1 hr 35 minutes to get food. And that is also one item every 10 minutes. Server argues with us, and told us that is how we serve food. We dont bring all items at ones, as our kitchen is too small. When I check the kitchen, there was almost over 40 bags of garbage in the kitchen. It looked that that haven't removed garbage for last 3 to 4 days. Junk kitchen. i will start my review by saying the food was quite delicious. however, that was completely overshadowed by the extremely poor service here. It took over an hour and a half to get our food, and when we got it most of it was incorrectly and cold. When we tried asking the server about our order, they would often walk away or completely ignore our questions. they tried claiming we had ordered incorrectly, despite them coming back and double checking our order as we were waiting. when we complained about the wait, the server tried to blame the lady who took our order, claiming that she was new and that's why it took so long to get our food. trying to throw your coworkers under the bus when she has NOTHING to do with the food making is completely ridiculous. then our server tried claiming that they were busy with other orders. we were the only group in the restaurant and when we brought that up to him, he claimed that they were busy with online orders. when we asked to speak with a manager or boss, the server claimed there were none. Finally, we paid and were prepared to leave. as we were walking out they informed us that we had not fully paid for the meal, even though they had given us our check and we had paid already. they informed us that they had "combined our tables" and forgot the second portion of our check. This hands down was one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a restaurant. I would like to reiterate that the food was actually quite delicious, but the horrible service absolutely ruined not only our meal but our entire evening. would not recommend at all. read more

The wife and I have ordered from these folksa few times, and its been good and timely every time!

We each had a wrap for lunch (chicken tikka and paneer tikka). Both were delicious and the portion was very generous. Tried the chaat papdi, which was also delicious. While we were there someone ordered the tandoori chicken and it looked and smelled great. We will have to try that on our next visit. Only complaint was that it was very cold in the restaurant. But food was very tasty and not overly priced. read more
