We spent 2 nights in Summerside on a bike trip in early September (2022). We expected a big tourist town with a lot of restaurants to choose from, as there are in Charlottetown, but were surprised to find a very limited number of options. We were wondering what to do on our second night and saw an ad for PEI Roti and thought we'd try it, We were very glad we did! It was worth the visit just for the meeting the very friendly, nice couple running the place but the food was terrific too. We owners took time to describe the different menu items, even letting us sample 2 different chicken dishes. We ended up with the jerk chicken, chana aloo (potato's and chick peas) and a bag of freshly made roti, all as takeout. Everything was absolutely delicious. The potatoes were perfectly cooked and seasoned, the chicken was great and the roti was fresh and wonderful. The portions were very generous. We'd really recommend this small, casual place. read more
