    Vegetable samosa

Super clean restaurant and the staff are very nice. When we got there they gave us bottled water and a complimentary appetizer. They kept checking in on us and were very friendly to us the whole time. The service was A+ , The vegetable samosa is spicier than i thought it would be but super yummy. You get three and they are huge! My friend got a chicken masala and I got a mushroom masala. Both very delicious and the portion sizes are very generous. Would definitely recommend trying this place out.

Clean and welcoming restaurant with quick and friendly service. My wife and I shared the Chicken Malai Curry. If you like spicy food, ask for a fair amount of spice -- we ordered medium and could barely feel any heat. Overall a tasty dish, but not as flavorful or memorable as other options we've tried before. The garlic naan was nice and fresh, but the raw garlic made it a little stronger than anticipated. Very happy to have alternatives to American-fare in Maple Grove, though.

Such an amazing experience that totally blew me away even with high expectations due to its high rating. The restaurant was extremely clean and classy. The service was impeccable. And the food was delicious. We had the Panera tikka masala and goat vindaloo and got a few complimentary side dishes as well. Definitely order aggressively on the spice level as we felt like even the medium spicy didn't have much heat to it. What a great way to start our trip to Maple Grove. Can't believe there was such great Indian food and such amazing service and an unassuming strip mall.

Bright and modern Indian cuisine with great service! The food is delicious, the staffs are super friendly/helpful, the noise level is low and I love how crispy clean the space makes me feel. This really satisfied my Indian cuisine cravings. I went with my sister for a date night and really enjoyed everything about this place. Would love to come back to try the Biryani! We ordered, Mango Lassi, Paneer Pakora, Chicken Tikka, Salmon Makhani and Garlic Naan Bread. Right away we were served Papadam chips with 2 sauce: a minty sauce and a sweet tamarind chutney sauce. My sister really loved the sweet sauce but I prefer the mint sauce more. We really enjoyed the Mango lassi, it was almost like a milkshake but sweet and creamy mixed with yogurt. The garlic naan was what we were looking forward to most and so worth every bite! It wasn't too garlicky and we dipped it into the Salmon Makhani sauce. The paneer pakora was like a cottage cheese dipped in a batter and fried. I was expecting it to be like cheese curd but it's more like a solid thick cut of cheese that doesn't fall apart nor is it cheesy. It was crispy on the outside, which I enjoyed. Salmon Makhani was like a creamy curry with salmon cubes and came with the basmati rice. We was also served a small potato curry dish, not sure if it was with one of the dish but it was also delicious! My sister really loved her Chicken tikka. Can you tell that we really enjoyed our sister date night here?! Btw we also got 2 Indian donut soaked desserts. It was like donut holes soaked in a syrup sauce. Extremely sweet for me but it was nice to try it! There's a huge parking lot in the back for the shops surrounding Tandoor and seems to be a few street parking right out front.

I could just feast and feast and feast on Indian food. And Tandoor excelled as one of the best meals I've had in that bracket in awhile! Our waiter (who I think may have been manager or owner) was so sweet, the restaurant was clean and pleasurable, and the food was divine. I went for the classic tikka masala, and was quite impressed. I can't pretend to be an expert on authentic Indian food, but I don't prefer tikka that is more tomato based- I like allll the spices. And Tandoor made it more spicy than tomato-y, so I was in heaven. We wanted to get the mango cake for dessert, but unfortunately they were out and waiting for more ingredients literally the day we came in, which was super disappointing. I guess that's how popular it is. But our waiter gave us mango pudding on the house due to this, and that was the perfect refresher and end to our meal! Vuola!

Tried this Indian restaurant for the first time today. Hubby, daughter, and I were still a little full from breakfast so we only ordered 2 entrees. The lamb korma and salmon curry were both excellent! Entrees come with basmati rice. Spice level can be adjusted per preference. Portion size was more than adequate. We received some yummy complimentary gulab jamun. The restaurant area was clean and spacious. Bathroom was clean also. Staff was very friendly. Service was impeccable and fast. We will definitely be back for more!

The wait staff went above and beyond with professionalism as well as politeness! Tandoor is so clean and well-maintained!! The food was phenomenal!! Will definitely come back again!! I also love how you can custom what level of spice you would like for your dishes!! Chicken Tikka Masala was so delicious and flavorful with each bite. The mango lassi had such a refreshing light taste. There is a lot of free parking spots as well super convenient!!

It was a really good choice. The services were good, the atmosphere was calming and quiet. The food came out quick after ordering. For the Indians craving traditional Indian flavors, in my opinion, this may not live up to expectations. We tried the samosas. The casing was exceptional. Crispy and held itself. The filling; hmmmm, didn't care for it much. The gobi manchuran we ordered as an appetizer too, not what we expected. It lacked the 'crispy' feel as it had a lot of the sauce. Traditionally, even when saucy, the gobi has an awesome crisp to the extent it's crunchy. Fun to eat. The other thing we didn't enjoy in the flavor profile of this was the ketchup. It felt like there was a good amount of ketchup that was used in the sauce. The tomato soup was EXCELLENT. It was a cool evening and the warm, rich, slightly sour soup hit the spot. I ordered the chole bhature. I think that was the most disappointing. The chole was not bad but the bhature; come on guys. You know what real bhature is. What was served was closer to something like a version of pita bread (little different) but not a bhature. If there was a 'sin' committed, I would say it was not serving a traditional bhature for a dish called chole bhature. We also ordered a dal makhani which was alright. The paneer makhani was really good. The paneer was super fresh and the flavor while not original (to me) was still really good. The service was fantastic. Our server was friendly, attentive, made sure our waters were always filled and checked in on us from time to time without being overwhelming while yet not disappearing. Would I come here again? Yes, to try the meats I will. I do feel the flavors may have been created to cater to the American taste buds so the authencity of the stuff we tried was just not there.

In a large strip mall, so very ample parking lot! The interior is very nice, clean, elevated, and has a good ambiance! Since I did takeout, I can't really comment on the service, but I will say that my order was ready within the time window they gave me! I ordered the Butter Chicken and Garlic Naan, for a simple, easy dinner! I especially loved that they used large chunks of chicken breast in their butter chicken! It made for a pleasant and filling meal! The sauce was creamy, and mild on the flavorful spices, so it would be perfect for people beginning their Indian food adventure or like to keep it Minnesota Mild ;) The garlic naan was a perfect vehicle for cleaning my plate and all the insides of the sauce container! We'll come back to try the buffet sometime. Had a appetizer of chicken tikka, and for entrees had butter chicken and beef with mushrooms, which came with a shareable serving of bismati rice. Both were delicious, especially my husbands beef and mushrooms. It was like a savory pot roast. We also shared a garlic naan. We'd also ordered spice level 7/medium-hot and it actually was medium-hot for once, so often we've ordered things spicy but it's still pretty mild. So I appreciated the spice level! Have to also, the white tablecloths were a nice touch, nice romantic meal. Will definitely be back.

The dosas themselves were perfect, but I did miss the usual tang in the sambhar I've had at other restaurants serving dosas. The sambhar had a milder dal taste rather than thin and tangy. Same with the potato masala, and chutneys, while they were good the spice was more on the mild side. That being said, everything tasted fresh and came out hot. And actually the less spice in the food made everything more light and digestible so that was a plus. Plenty of parking as this is part of strip mall. Service was quick and the servers also have the devices that take your order and your credit card right at the table. They don't need to walk back and forth. Definitely will be back

It was not, it was an assortment of dishes which were all tasty. There was rice, naan, a chicken dish, a lamb/beef dish, a veggie dish, a crunchy bread, and a piece of galub jamun for dessert. The lamb was probably was favorite and was gone very quickly. The chicken was a close second and had a ton of flavor which the naan soaked up nicely. The galub jamun was a pleasant surprise as well. I got an order to go, it was syrupy and a perfect sweet treat to end a savory meal. I would go back! P.s. I ordered mild and the nice waitress politely insisted on medium. We easily found parking right outside. It's a calm and casual atmosphere that is great for families, small groups, and solo diners. Love learning? You'll be slightly transfixed by their TV, which had fascinating programming about food from around the world. There to catch up and enjoy the company? It's easy to do--the volume in the restaurant is moderate. Our server, Siva, had wonderful suggestions for us. The menu is awesome and features a wide range of options, from street food to regional specialties. If you're not sure what something is or whether it would be up your alley, ask: they'll have your back. There are ample options for vegetarians, vegans, and omnivores, and there is tons of flexibility on spice level. Everything is cooked to order. We started with the vegetarian momo, which came with two sauces--one spicy and the other not. Both were delicious and complex. (The spicy one was indeed spicy, which was really delightful--I love it when I find a true "spicy"; it's not always easy in the Midwest!) For my main, I ordered the malai kofta, which is one of my favorites. It's a comforting dish that is highly seasoned and has loads of depth. It's rich, savory, salty, and a bit sweet--basically a hug on a plate. I ordered it medium, but next time will probably go with hot. We also had the bullet naan (with green chilis), which was a real treat. This restaurant has more than the average number of naan options, and they all looked great. We definitely chose wisely--this unique naan was truly delicious and was perfect for scooping up the sauces. (Highly recommended.) I also had a mango lassi. It was definitely a winner: creamy, sweet, and tart, it was just what I needed for balance. If you like Indian and Himalayan, Thaliwala will be right up your alley. It's definitely worth the trip, even if it's not in your neck of the woods.
