SPDP-Sev potato Dahi Puri

We went to this place on a friends recommendation, and the food we tried was really tasty. It was a small place with limited menu but were good. It's a self service place and no much of an ambiance. We tried their Bhel puri, SPDP, Pav Bhaji and Misal Pav and everything were tasting great.

i tried muddy tiger at the art festival today and wow..!!!! i tried their tawa chicken taco and i was not mad at paying $5 for it. 100% worth every cent. the indian salad with the pickled onions brought the exact right amount of freshness to the mild heat of the chicken which just melted in your mouth. i will definitely be coming to their physical location to try out more of their menu items. AMAZING!

Great food. Appreciate clearly marked veg items. Friendly staff. Reasonable prices. Very clean dining area. I first was introduced to this great food at the 2023 veg fest.

You literally can't get this food anywhere else so you will be back! Dont come for the butter chicken because they don't have it. Come here to experience something delicious and different! The owners are fun to chat with and very helpful.

Tried the Muddy Tiger food truck at the St. Paul food truck festival since they had an item entered in the Veg Fest contest (Vada Pav). It's actually the only thing I ordered and my first time trying Vada Pav, it was pretty good! Lots of flavor. Soft potatoe-y texture. Deep-fried. What's not to like? Friendly staff too!

It was my first time ordering from here but it will not be my last. From start to finish my dinner…read morewas five-star. First the Butter Chicken spicy was an omg-this-is-sooo-good mumble at first bite because the spice level was perfect, the chicken thighs succulent and meaty, and that sauce was a savory flavor bomb. I've always been a curry or tikki masala kind of chicken eater but this Butter Chicken blows those away. A must try. Good grief I'm salivating writing about it. The Garlic Naan was a perfect sauce-sopper for the Butter Chicken. I wish they offered pots of fresh chutneys with the naan, but that's ok. That's really minor. Lemon Rice sounded fresh and refreshing but holy spice, Batman! It was unexpectedly deliciously hot and had a deep lemon flavor. Cooked with whole roasted spices, slices of peppers and curry leaves this was a top favorite. Some of the whole spice things (not sure what they were tbh) were hard but most added a crunchy texture. The soups I had, Sweet Corn Soup and Hot & Sour Soup were home runs. Both had plenty of veggies and packed a spicy kick. The H&S soup was not like you'll get at Chinese or other Asian restaurants, but it was hot and not sour. It's just different but still so delicious. There are so many vegetarian dishes on the menu everyone should be able to eat well.

Such a bummer experience! I did a takeout order for two orders of butter chicken (which I had from…read moreKadai just last week and LOVED) and a sag paneer. Unfortunately I received two chicken tikka masala, not the butter chicken. Additionally there was no rice for the order. My husband called to let them know the order was not correct and Kadai said what we received WAS butter chicken-- apparently they use the same sauce for both butter chicken and tikka masala? Hmm. We'd had the butter chicken just last week so we know what that tastes like- it's super good! And we've had the chicken tikka from Kadai before (see my previous review) and it has a distinct taste that I don't personally prefer. Kadai was adamant that the only difference between the two is that chicken tikka has onions and bell pepper. Inconsistent experience and disappointing customer service.

If I could give this place negative stars, I would. I was sent here on a mission by my mother and…read moremy spouse to order vegetable pakora for a very specific dish, khadi pakora. It's a yogurt-based curry with CRISPY pakora in it. I came here thinking "any restaurant can make pakora, it's literally just deep-fried, battered vegetables." This was a mistake I have already lived to regret. Before I describe the food, I'll note that I ordered online and was advised to pick it up in 20-35 minutes. I arrived on the later end of this range. I went into the restaurant and no one was seated inside, but it was a Monday night so maybe that's a quiet day for them. I went up to the counter to pick up my order. There was nobody there but someone came out after I rang the bell. I picked up my order and went home, not thinking to check it. I arrived home with the goods in hand. My mother opened it and gave me a look of disappointment, contempt, and disgust. The pakora was cold, limp, and not battered. It seemed like it was microwaved or even just taken straight out of the fridge. We still made the curry, but it was an abomination. I've never had pakora this bad. If you're looking for Indian food in the metro, go literally anywhere else or my Indian mother will be disappointed in you, too.

Since the establishment was clearly labeling themselves as fancy Indian food, it was very clear…read morethat they put a lot of thought into presentation. Most of the food they served looked gorgeous, to the point that some may think they were overshadowing the flavor. But I can confidently say that in terms of flavor, many of the dishes were extremely on point as well. Items like the blackened chicken, the tomato dal, the butter chicken, and the palak paneer were very flavorful. The blackened chicken was juicy and tender, too, on top of containing abundant flavor. The samosas contained an abundant amount of potatoes and peas. I could taste a good amount of tomatoes and coconut milk in the butter chicken, which was very creamy. I could also taste very strong garam masala in the palak paneer, which was a great thing. The butter naan was an excellent addition because the flavorful curry definitely needed more than rice to evoke its full potential, and naan bread was perfect for such. In terms of dessert, the mango mousse was incredible! Its soft but solid texture made it very easy to break up and consume, while maintaining its shape without collapsing. The saffron, milk powder, and cream altogether offered a very integral taste that had lots of depth. I honestly want to try all the desserts on their menu, too, like the coconut pannacotta and the basundi pistachio tiramisu, because they both looked amazing on the menu. While this establishment is not one of those places you visit that often, it is perfect for a date night because it has clean and relatively fancy decor along with flavorful food and can evoke a romantic vibe. I will for sure return here in the future and highly recommend it for those looking for quality Indian restaurants!

After a long week, I was absolutely stoked to receive an invitation to dinner with my favorite…read morehost. Even better? We're going to my favorite Indian spot in the state. We started off with the vegetable platter, which features three delicious vegetarian appetizers. In addition to vegetable pakoras and samosas, there was bhajita, spinach and onion stuffed potato wedges. These came with delicious little cups of chutney--one mint and one tamarind. This appetizer was a hit, even for the most devoted carnivore in the party. We also tried the pashwari naan--it's a sweet naan that is filled with coconut and golden raisins. My mom in particular loved it. It would be a wonderful foil for a spicy curry. For our mains, mom ordered the kebab, which came with dal (we picked the golden lentil dal, and I might possibly have had "just a taste" several times. (Verdict: it's yummy!) I ordered the paneer chili balti, a comforting balti that is sweet, savory, and salty with warming spices. The rice was also exactly right--fluffy, perfectly salted, and just the right texture. We also got the mango chutney, which is a tart, sweet, salty, savory, amazing flavor bomb. Try it at least once. For dessert, we shared the kulfee and ras malai. These aren't on the menu at every Indian restaurant, and since first having tried them (at India Palace, in fact), I know that they'll always be my first choice when I see them, especially the kulfee. Holy wow. As usual, the service was great--friendly, attentive, prompt, and helpful, the staff here makes sure you get what you need. Despite the fairly full house, it was easy to have a conversation. This is a relaxing place to enjoy a meal. The music is quiet, the decor interesting, and the seating comfortable. All in all, the cure for a bad week!
