Palak paneer, gongura chicken curry, and goat rogan Josh. Side of raita
Lily F.

Weird start but it ended up being pretty decent. I went on their website to order online (pick-up) and after paying, did not get any kind of confirmation email or text. After waiting a few minutes, I called the restaurant, and no one picked up. I called off and on for the next five minutes. Surely, they're not closed. Tuesday at 5pm? Screw it, I have nothing better to do, I'll just drive up there to see. I enter the establishment and it's dead quiet out front, but I do hear noises in the back. There's no bell to ding at the host desk and after waiting for a couple of more minutes I decide to call the restaurant. Lo and behold, a man runs out of the kitchen to answer the phone. Ah, so the phone does work! They ended up getting my order, just didn't have any confirmation. The food: I ordered Chicken Gongura Curry, Goat Rogan Josh and Palak Paneer. I did choose the "Indian Spicy" and made an extra note on the order to kill me with spice, but I'd say it was pretty mild to me. The flavors however, were really delicious and I have no food regrets. Both the chicken and goat were both tender and there was plenty of paneer in my palak. I'd order from this place again.

What a wonderful place! Courteous and attentive staff, seated quickly, and the food came out quick! We had the chicken 78 as an app, and I had the Fish Biryani and stuffed Palloti, which were both amazing!!!! The music selection was great, more modern, poppy music which I enjoyed! The scenery was bright and jubilant, as well. Try the mango Lassi!

Tandoori Chicken

Very excited to try this place, after a friend recommended it. Upon arrival, I noticed we were the only table in the restaurant -- for a Friday evening, I would have expected it to be busier. We were seated right away and given time to review the extensive menu. Our hostess was pleasant throughout our meal. The music playing sounded like traditional Indian music, which was enjoyable! Ordered 3 entrees: tandoori chicken with naan, lamb boti kebab with rice, and the fish special. The entrees came at the same time, all except the naan. The proteins were flavorful and the green mint sauce that came with the lamb was absolutely stellar -- mint and lemongrass perfectly complemented the rich lamb! I could drink that sauce straight! The tandoori chicken and lamb kebab were both flavorful, but overall on the dry side. The only chicken piece that not dry was the thigh piece. The fish was delicious, especially the coconut sauce. I would have enjoyed this even more with a side of rice. Upon finishing our meal, we asked our hostess about the naan that never arrived. She checked in with the kitchen and came back saying they probably thought they gave it to us with the order. I was a little surprised, because as I said at the beginning, we were the only table at that time, so not sure how they forgot. Nevertheless, when it did arrive, we did take the naan to go and ate it in the car. WOW! I can see why there are so many naan variations to order on the menu. Absolutely deliciously light bread! Just a shame to not have had the naan alongside our entrees, but still delicious on its own! Next time I come, I will try more naan and rice dishes.

Butter Chicken

Ordered via DoorDash, an order of butter chicken, two orders of chicken tikka masala and garlic naan. As I was eating my butter chicken and my friend eating her chicken tikka, I commented the colors seemed to be the opposite of what it normally was. We noticed the lids got switched, and received 2 orders of butter chicken and 1 chicken tikka masala. I like how they include rice with the order and does not need to be ordered separately. The garlic naan was good. However, I felt the curries were lacking some spice and umph. Plenty of chicken and creamy sauce, but definitely missing some extra flavor.

We sat down and waited 10+ minutes with no service or acknowledgment. We got up and left. Food might be good but how would we know

Really good, authentic Indian food. Generous portions! Medium spice was just enough for this midwestern girl.

If I could give this place negative stars, I would. I was sent here on a mission by my mother and…read moremy spouse to order vegetable pakora for a very specific dish, khadi pakora. It's a yogurt-based curry with CRISPY pakora in it. I came here thinking "any restaurant can make pakora, it's literally just deep-fried, battered vegetables." This was a mistake I have already lived to regret. Before I describe the food, I'll note that I ordered online and was advised to pick it up in 20-35 minutes. I arrived on the later end of this range. I went into the restaurant and no one was seated inside, but it was a Monday night so maybe that's a quiet day for them. I went up to the counter to pick up my order. There was nobody there but someone came out after I rang the bell. I picked up my order and went home, not thinking to check it. I arrived home with the goods in hand. My mother opened it and gave me a look of disappointment, contempt, and disgust. The pakora was cold, limp, and not battered. It seemed like it was microwaved or even just taken straight out of the fridge. We still made the curry, but it was an abomination. I've never had pakora this bad. If you're looking for Indian food in the metro, go literally anywhere else or my Indian mother will be disappointed in you, too.

I'm so glad I stopped by this cute spot in an unassuming strip mall. The owners made the small…read morespace inviting. Bright paint on the walls with colorful photographs, a slightly raised space with cushions that might be used for a performance, and long tables that invite family-style dining. I chose this spot because I was curious about their "Afghan hamburger," which was sausages, hard boiled eggs, various vegetables, and fries with spicy ketchup in a tortilla-like wrap, exactly as described. The fries were pleasantly crispy, and I enjoyed the spicy ketchup. I wanted and got something different. The wrap came with a generous portion of chutney, perhaps the same mint walnut chutney I've seen elsewhere. I washed it down with salt lassi, which hit the spot for me. It wasn't too salty, and it had fresh cucumber in it. I was a little confused when the prices at the register were slightly higher than the prices on the menu, but it was still reasonably priced, especially these days. It would be great if someone updated the menu prices. I took home some sabzi palak (spinach stew) to go. Even though both the stew and the fresh bread it came with had cooled down by the time I got home, they were delicious! As soon as I finished eating, I ran to my computer to look up a recipe. That stew hit it out of the park. I will never think of spinach in the same way again. Next time we're in the neighborhood, I will definitely take my spouse here.

Since the establishment was clearly labeling themselves as fancy Indian food, it was very clear…read morethat they put a lot of thought into presentation. Most of the food they served looked gorgeous, to the point that some may think they were overshadowing the flavor. But I can confidently say that in terms of flavor, many of the dishes were extremely on point as well. Items like the blackened chicken, the tomato dal, the butter chicken, and the palak paneer were very flavorful. The blackened chicken was juicy and tender, too, on top of containing abundant flavor. The samosas contained an abundant amount of potatoes and peas. I could taste a good amount of tomatoes and coconut milk in the butter chicken, which was very creamy. I could also taste very strong garam masala in the palak paneer, which was a great thing. The butter naan was an excellent addition because the flavorful curry definitely needed more than rice to evoke its full potential, and naan bread was perfect for such. In terms of dessert, the mango mousse was incredible! Its soft but solid texture made it very easy to break up and consume, while maintaining its shape without collapsing. The saffron, milk powder, and cream altogether offered a very integral taste that had lots of depth. I honestly want to try all the desserts on their menu, too, like the coconut pannacotta and the basundi pistachio tiramisu, because they both looked amazing on the menu. While this establishment is not one of those places you visit that often, it is perfect for a date night because it has clean and relatively fancy decor along with flavorful food and can evoke a romantic vibe. I will for sure return here in the future and highly recommend it for those looking for quality Indian restaurants!
