I was in KY for a business trip and was impressed to find a nice modern twist on Taiwanese American food. I had to try it! The interior was very beautiful - from the bar, open kitchen concept, picture frames, to the furniture, everything was well put together. I drank the Chuhai cocktail and I liked how light yet refreshing the drink was. I ordered the Taiwanese Beef Noodle and was surprised by the in depth flavor. Though, I wish it was slightly less saltier. The portion size was fairly huge. For dessert, I ordered the egg tart brûlée and absolutely loved the concept. It was an interesting twist on a regular egg tart with a nice, flaky crunch. The server was also very attentive and kind - would love to come back if I'm in the area!

My Husband and I visited on a Saturday night a few weeks after opening and were surprised we were able to snag two seats at the bar since the restaurant was essentially full. We sat down and were greeted immediately. After looking over the menu for a while the bartender went over both the cocktail and regular menu and made some wonderful recommendations. I tried the Chuhai which is composed of Iichiko Shochu (which is a leading brand of mugi (barley) shochu from Japan), Prickly Pear, Lemon, Soda and Melon. This drink was so light and refreshing and delicious! It was really hard to make a decision on what to order for dinner, because everything sounded amazing and the food is served family style so the portions are huge. We started with the Taiwanese Pork & Cabbage Dumplings which were phenomenal. My only complaint is that the description does not mention cilantro, only scallions. It was covered in cilantro which I hate. We ordered the Ginger Scallion Branzino which serves 2, it is open faced with the skin and tail still attached for those of you (like me) are weird about that lol and the Three Treasures Fried Rice. The Branzino consisted of charred lime, Fragrant Scallion and Ginger sauce, and HeyDoh Silky Soy Sauce. The fish was tender, flakey and extremely flavorful and we devoured the whole thing. The Three Treasures Fried Rice consisted of Beef shank, Red Shrimp, Cha Shao Pork, Snap Peas, Carrots, Allium. The rice had that appetizing smokiness and pleasant char from the Wok and was indescribably good!! Next time we will be trying the Cucumbers and the T.F.C "Taiwanese Fried Chicken" which serves 2-3.

New to Tana and it didn't disappoint. It was hard to find a reservation, but it was worth waiting. The service was very engaging from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. All smiling, ready and willing to share recommended dishes, knowledgeable about seasonality and ingredients. The food was wonderful and we sampled a lot. The dishes are meant to be shared. We tried the ramp and pork dumplings, the latter was definitely a table favorite. Everyone recommended the tuna tartare with scallion pancakes. The pancakes were a little tough but the tuna was fresh and tasty. The marinated cucumbers were a good pallet cleanser between bites. In terms of entrees I definitely preferred the fried chicken - The TFC. It's super crispy and the seasoned with a little bit of spice and savory that's subtle. The beef noodle lumache was also delicious, and seemed like a really rich Italian dish. I wouldn't recommend the cabbage, unless you love cabbage. Maybe go with the pork ribeye, which was another table favorite and cooked perfectly - not tough or overdone which is always tricky with pork. Lastly, the fried rice was OK, but not that memorable. The atmosphere is pretty modern and chic. It's not bustling but actually quite spacious. The layout is open but noise levels are modest. The dining area was full but given the layout and size of the room, it never felt crowded.

Yum! So happy to have this delicious new restaurant in Germantown. The griddled vegetable bao and Ube cheesecake were highlights. Wish there were a pescatarian version of the clams with a different broth option. My husband LOVED the filet with black bean sauce (and the fact he had enough for lunch the next day). Beautiful space and friendly staff. Excited to stop back by to sit at the bar for more dumplings and a cocktail.

We absolutely loved our experience at TANA. Our waitress Saba was very friendly and knowledgeable and gave us the best recommendations. For drinks we tried the Taipei Old Fashioned, oolong state of mind, #7, and night marker and loved them all! We started with the Ramp dumplings then for entrees we had the fried chicken, branzino, pork ribeye, and fried rice. All of the food was amazing but the chicken definitely stole the show. They did such an amazing job remodeling the building into such a cool and relaxing environment. Highly recommend checking out TANA when you get the chance.

I recently went to explore and experience this great new restaurant in Germantown. From the sexy dim lights and my server that day. I much appreciated the atmosphere. But the food was the star for me. From Taiwanese cabbage and that boneless Bronzino. I was sold. I will be back.

While I have not eaten at TANA yet we are very excited to have such a fine dinning establishment in our neighbourhood. Welcome. The pictures of your interior look amazing and we can't wait to visit and sit at bar and have a cocktail and small plate appetizer. Your general managers back ground appears to have wonderful experience and we expect a fabulous meal. We have eaten at every restaurant that the new owners/chef has worked at and know his skill sets are a notch above the industry.

Tonight I had an amazing meal at the beautiful restaurant in Louisville, called TANA. It began with the lovely hostess, Courtney, meeting us, then we met our wonderful server, David. He explained the origin of the recipe for all these spectacular meals and described the menu. These are the things on the menu that we decided to try: 1. Wok-Steamed Basil Clams 2. Taiwanese Pork & Cabbage Dumplings 3. Taiwanese Beef Noodle Lumache 4. Rice The dessert was absolutely incredible, as was the meal. Do not leave the place if you do not try it, it is called, Egg Tarte Brûlée

I had the Ace Guava Craft Cider and it was great. I also had the Taiwanese pork dumplings as my meal which was very filling. I didn't care for the cilantro but didn't realize it was a garnish on the dumplings. I didn't realize Tana is a more fancy restaurant but definitely welcoming to everyone in my group and accommodated us at the bar. The server was amazing and she answered all our questions. All in all a nice experience.

Went here for a date night and we had a great time!Everything that my boyfriend and I ordered tasted amazing it was hard to choose a favorite. For food, we ordered the Taiwanese pork & cabbage dumplings, charred rump dumplings, Taiwanese beef noodle lumache, filet in black bean sauce, three treasures fried rice, and the egg tart brulee. Then for drinks I ordered the chuhai and my boyfriend ordered the Taipei old fashioned and a glass of red wine. The portion sizes of the dishes are great for sharing and we had a good amount left for leftovers. Our server Cameron was very nice, came to check on us often, and was helpful with suggestions while ordering. I would definitely come back again and try something I haven't ordered. This place is great for date night or night out with friends.

Absolutely phenomenal new restaurant. A great idea executed super well and I'm already looking forward to the next visit. We had a reservation for 7pm and as soon as we walked in on time were immediately greeted and shown to our table. From the care in explaining the menu and message to quickly responding to all requests the service was too notch. Light music and casual background was lovely and makes me want a late-night dj and small plate night. The food was exceptional. The scallion pancakes with tartare, pork dumplings, Lu Rou Fan, and Ube cheesecake all standouts. Cocktails lovely, but did not explode fully.

Ube cheesecake

The vibe at TANA is beyond! I visited recently for a girls night. The cocktails were all amazing - the old fashioned, #7 (similar to a pineapple marg) and Night Market (similar to an espresso martini) were our faves! The food is large portions so we ordered several things to share family style. Highly recommend the pork dumplings (a bit spicy fyi), TFC fried chicken and the fried rice which has several different meats in it. For dessert we shared the Ube Cheesecake which was almost too beautiful to eat! Our server Cameron was the best. He explained the menu in intricate detail and made wonderful recommendations. So sweet and took great care of us!

It isn't much to look at. In fact, the first time I came here I was a little uneasy about going in…read more But then I did! I still think it is awfully...rough feeling, but the surrounding area is having a bit of a renaissance it seems and I can only hope that it will benefit this local business and perhaps give them a nudge to nice-en up the place a bit. It is a fairly basic two-aisle liquor store. But I have found what I wanted or needed every time I have visited. Most recently it was for wine. I was in ever so dire neeeeed of some inexpensive wine (because there was a winter storm coming and a party to attend and I needed to be prepared for both!) The center aisle of shelves is mostly wine. It comes up to about waist/ribcage height (on a short, short gal like me). Everything is easy to see and easy to reach. And I was pleased and impressed with the selection of local options! Not the biggest or best selection ever, but for a small, neighborhood liquor store is was nice to see. Prices are decent, the staff is as friendly as any liquor store staff I have encountered (which might not actually be saying much, but as a comparison...you know...) I recently moved to the 'hood so I anticipate bringing them my business unless my needs are very specific or very expensive, neither of which are a regular occurrence.

Nothing inspiring, but friendly enough service. Never a destination, just a convenience. I will limit my complaining to this. There is a drive-thru for those too busy or lazy or disabled to get out of their car. And on top of that there are something like 18 parking spaces for a business that couldn't possibly need more than four or five. And to beautify the landscape, there is one small, rather neglected tree on the easement. I wouldn't ask for a garden or anything major. Maybe a flower box?

What a delightful spot in Shelby Park to shop!…read more My friend and I stopped in here after attending a private event next door at the Canary Club. And I wanted to buy so much! This spot has such a fun assortment of gift items to buy. For example, I saw Heated Rivalry-themed items, Louisville stickers and art, Moomin toys, a large Peanuts display and so many other bits of kitsch and fun. For food, there's a freezer of Louisville Cream, great sauces, candy and more. And the alcohol selection is really what shines! Lots of wine, beer and bourbon -- some you can drink on-site and others you'd take home. I ended up buying two types of seltzers I've been wanting to try. If this all sounds jumbled together, it's really not. It all works, and I love the style of Breeze so much as well. This store is pleasantly filled without feelings disjointed or overstuffed. It's definitely a great spot to peruse if you're in the area!

Little locally-created cards, foodie candles, cookbooks and more line the shelves. I also love their NA spirits selection. The Kin Euphorics cans literally elevate my mood without the negative effects of alcohol. This is also a good casual date spot. Their is a cafe with yummy treats, high quality chocolates, and coffee drinks. You can enjoy your bites and sips on the front or back patio for a little extra sunshine in your day. Staff is always friendly, approachable and knowledgeable. Oh, and they have pints of Louisville Cream for a quick fix, too!
