I have come to this store over 50 times. I've used both tanning beds and the spray tan machines. Overall I've had a great visit and good results. The employees have also been nice and helpful. Except for this last visit... I stopped in for my regular spray tan, which I have gotten over 20 times. Well the girl working. Was new. I was preparing for a very special event in a few days, which happens once in a lifetime. When I went into tan, the spray didn't come out. It came out a little and I decided to stay in the booth to finish, in fear of being uneven. Well, after checking the bottle, I could see that 1/2 of the solution was still in. The girl was not nice about the problem and said she wasn't sure what happened that she had used the machine all day with no issues. She suggested I get in and try again-well same thing happened. After that, I am now in tears, I'm leaving town tomorrow and I def have an uneven tan. Her suggestion to fix it was for me to go take a shower and come back to the store later! I didn't have time to do either. And why would I try the same store/booth again? She has never called to make the situation better, somehow fix it and give me back the tans I used or at least apologize and set me up at a different location. Anything! This was a terrible experience. However, since I reached out about the experience, the management was happy to apologize and make up for it and give me a free spray tan. read more

The equipment is always well maintained and they have some of the newest Innovations in tanning today. I am very unhappy at the treatment I have been receiving. I now work in Denver and had asked to cancel my membership. I am not able to make it in during the hours of operation. I had asked what I need to do. I was told to go in and sign this form. I went in, the girl gave me the wrong form, my membership is on hold and I am still paying. When I questioned that they were still charging me, the started arguing with me that it was my fault, where is professional courtesy, where is the compassion for the customer. The lady who helped ring me up was great about telling me about current deals when she could've just charged me full price since I wasn't aware of any deals. She was extremely helpful explaining the different levels of beds (I don't really tan but have a trip to the beach and don't want to burn). They got newer beds a few years ago I believe and the one I had was great! I think my only suggestion after reading a review of someone who chose to tan despite having a history of cancer would be to have people sign a release form. Apparently some people never learn I guess. I will however not return if I do get skin cancer, because that would be incredibly irresponsible and frankly, idiotic. Lexie , Jessica and Gracie at the Austin bluffs store are just fantastic. I can't believe the service that I received from them in comparison to the store all the way down south there's no comparison. They are all team players, and care very much about my needs. Going above and beyond the call of duty to make sure all of our needs are met. Even if a question is sometimes uncertain, they openly show great communication with with their team leads and managers. Which furthermore leads me to conclude that the North Side only off of academy and Austin Bluffs by far out rank, out sell and definitely are the Best STORE above all the rest. The night crew especially are my favorite as I look forward everyday to see that pretty blond girls smiling face as she is usually the one greeting me. Not to forget she always has a genuine smile and the store is always spotless and smelling of lemons every single time I have been there. The south side store and a couple of girls in particular should be relieved of their positions. Very very rude and inconsiderate along with no people skills what so ever. I was just diagnosed with Melanoma skin cancer in November. I told them I need to cancel my membership. I sent in my paperwork, in a zip file, and they kept "having problems" opening it. I took screen shots and sent it in, yet they still had issues. When they looked at the screen shot, they failed to look at it closely, they said it was too small. (Zoom???) They failed to see that little box next to melanoma that said "ACTIVE". So, they emailed me and said "We can see that is does say you have a history of melanoma but doesn't say you have it now.". Needless to say, I didn't take that well. How are you going to provide a bed that gives skin cancer and then say "no" to people wanting out. I get people canceling their contracts for BS reasons, but if you have SKIN CANCER, pregnancy, life emergency, etc...I feel like that's valid reason. In fact, if you look at most of their reviews, that's generally why people want to cancel with a valid excuse and Tan Your Hide refuses, which sends people into a fury. They should probably realize, it's best to end these things quietly and they wouldn't have such bad reviews. In rebuttal to my reviews, they sent this in an email- "We will work with you the best we can, but if there is any more slander on social media, that will encourage us to stop. Please give us the respect that we give you." I'm not sure what respect they gave me by telling me my skin cancer wasn't an issue and not a valid reason for not wanting to have anything to do with their product? (If a cigarette company was killing you or your loved one, would you still continue to buy their product or go in their factory? I mean, come on!) Anywho, to update this story, I went into a location and hand delivered my results, with the diagnoses circled, so there could be no mistake on 12/29. (Gosh, it was great handing a terrified 18 year old my medical record. I slept well) I got an email from them today saying that I could pay out the month of December and a $50.00 cancellation fee. So, total $118.00. I know they want me to delete all my bad reviews, Originally, I would have walked away from this and never said a word, because, let's be honest, I'm no genius. I signed up for this, I laid in that bed on my own. I'm an adult, I made this choice. But when the product backfires and gives your customer CANCER! I feel like any good business owner would recognize this and want that person to go away as quickly as possible. But, then again, Tan Your Hide said this- "Tanning in tanning beds does not cause cancer....too much of anything CAN cause cancer. We are one of the most regulated industries out there, and we adhere strictly to the rules." It's no secret that tanning beds cause cancer. Just like cigarettes and booze. Too much of anything can do a lot of harm...but let's be honest, tanning beds really do cause cancer. Theirs just WAY too much research on it. I have no idea why I'm debating this, clearly it's not going to change anything. In conclusion, I would NOT recommend Tan Your Hide. I don't recommend any tanning at this point. But I will say this, I'm sure there are other salons that will give you a better deal and is more understanding. Do your research people. read more

This is by far the best Tan Your Hide location (I have been to them all multiple times for years)! Melissa was so helpful and amazing during a mini challenge I had a week before my wedding! She went above and beyond to help me be the the most tan I could be before my big day! Not only that but she's so personable and didn't make me feel like a bother (which a few of the other locations have done before). Tan Your Hide is amazing, but this location and their staff are always the kindest! Really great business, beds are well maintained and the establishments are clean and well kept and updated. You get what you pay for and tan your hide has high end lotions and beds. They change their bulbs at 1/3 the life span of the bulbs so you know you're always getting the best tan. The girls are always friendly and will help you with any questions you might have! I tried to purchase a mystic tanning package at 2 of their locations and at both the sales ladies were extremely rude and unhelpful. I would have gladly purchased the more expensive package, but when i asked why it was better they were unable to answer me, they just rolled their eyes and acted as if i was inconviencing them by trying to shop there. Their sales approach seems to be to act superior and hope that it shames people into purchasing their products.
