Bear with me, this is long -- I'm enraged. If I could give 0 stars I would. I just left the facility, within 5 minutes before closing. I got there at 7:35 and Summer was the one to "help" me. She was being very short when I asked about the prices and after a few pricing questions, she disclosed that we only had 20 minutes and that I wouldn't be able to tan because I'd be "messing up with her time" and that "she wanted to go home". Then I asked her "would you please let me get a tan? We still have 20 minutes, the paperwork shouldn't take that long" and then she got loud with me, called me rude for demanding for a tan. I then told her "you're reading too much into it, I literally just asked you a question and you started being rude and loud". Then she protested "I'm not being rude! We will do the paperwork and I'll see how much time we have, how does that sound?" After I replied with "that's good" she mumbled "Jesus Christ". After all the 5 sheets of paper I had to initial (because that's a lot of paperwork and that will take too long) she told me "okay, I have to clean the Versa and you'll just gonna be able to do a base shade, no add ons" that was at 0745. "Can you please just add a bronzer? I know that the Versa gives an orange tint without a bronzer and I don't want that." She refused and said "no. That's all I can do for now. I'm already gonna spend a long time closing the store because of this." I then started checking other facilities times and yes, they all close at 8pm. So I said "yeah, this is not gonna work for me. I'll just come back tomorrow. What's your name?" She didn't respond, she didn't even look at me. I persisted, maybe she didn't hear me: "Hey, what's your name?" She again, didn't respond and kept messing with the papers on the table. Then I asked a third and last time "Whats your name? Are you gonna ignore me?" She then looks at me and said: "I'm not gonna give you my name because I know you're gonna try to get me in trouble!" Fed up, I then told her to cancel the contract. She then complied, said she'd do that and yelled at me "we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone, you better leave right now before I call the cops!!" So then I brought my cellphone camera up and told her to repeat it, she calmed her tone down, told me she wasn't yelling. I asked for my paperwork back, and she refused a bunch of times. I sinsisted and said again I'd be cancelling the contract, so finally she gives me my contract paperwork. I then left. I would love to post this video. What a joke of an employee. P.S.: I ended up getting her name confirmed here on the reviews because of the call she took while "helping" me. Remember to be kind folks! Especially in a customer service job! Came to tan yesterday about 7:35PM. Sign on the door says closes at 8. The doors were locked and an employee was leaving, who told me that "he" closes at 7, whoever "he" is. This is the third time I have showed up during advertised hours that it's been closed. The last time this happened, I was told I would get a level 4 tan applied to my account for free for the inconvenience. It was never applied. I hate this place and am trapped in my contract. I never would have signed up if I knew the hours would change without notice and that I would be unable to use my membership. Front desk staff was friendly, sure. Then it came time to sign my contract. Turns out, they don't honor SCRA. They want to charge you $50 to cancel your contract, even with PCS/deployment orders. If you're military personnel, DO NOT USE. Their response literally proves my point - they do not honor SCRA (federal law) and charge military $50 to break the contract, despite orders. Can't lie I need my tan! This location is huge, I never have to wait since they have so many beds. There's other services I haven't taken advantage of yet here but I've used some elsewhere before and know it's a great treat! Ergoline beds are the best and I'm so Happy they have my favorite one which keeps me golden! Misty has helped me since I started tanning here and has turned into a great friend and such a friendly face to see! I needed a tan pretty quick for a trip I was taking, so I decided to use the coupon from their website for a sunless tan. It was easy and fast and the girls were super nice and explained everything to me. They mentioned a new process they had but they didn't push it on me (I ended up getting it anyway). The booth was clean and it was fast (I think it took less than 10 minutes even with drying time) and I believe I was in and out in less than 20 minutes. I was satisfied. I finally decided to go in for more information on their packages / tanning lotions / bed choices- I'm glad I did! This place is HUGE, much larger than I imagined. The lady behind the desk, Brandy, was very kind and knowledgable on all Tan Your Hide has to offer. There were a few folks in line behind me, and rather than rushing to answer my questions or shoo me to the side to help them, Brandy kept answering my questions and walked me through the packages; I really appreciated her attentiveness. I also inquired about tanning lotion (automatically assuming she would recommend the most expensive one), she asked what I was hoping to accomplish with my tanning visits (Vitamin D, light tan, dark tan, etc.), I told her what I was looking for and she recommended one of the more moderately priced lotions rather than the most expensive. I was really pleased that she didn't try to up-sale me simply to make a few extra dollars. I decided on a package and she walked me to the bed I would be using. I was really pleased that towels and goggles were provided for each visit- what a relief, one less thing I have to purchase and bring with me every visit. The room was extremely clean, warm, and inviting. I immediately felt very comfortable. I would like to give them 5-stars, but unfortunately their tanning packages are a little more expensive than the ones I have seen at other tanning locations (different companies). False advertisement warning!! Website mentions on numerous occasions about a "month-to-month no contract plan". $79.00 for a level 4 tan. Upon arrival, AFTER talking to an employee on the phone to clarify prices, that you had to purchase a MINIMUM of 3 months, which for a level 4 tan is roughly $210.00. When I asked the technician why their website didn't mention this, her response was "that they don't put all that information on the webpage because it's too much to put on there", and that the student discount that is promoted on their site is "not available on such low price bundles" and was only for the 10-month contract option. I ended up purchasing 1-hour of minutes for $185.00. The place was grossly understaffed, and the poor technician was running around like a chicken with her head cut off. With these prices, there is no reason corporate should not set their staff members up for success by staffing accordingly. I will use the remainder of my minutes and look elsewhere for a reasonable salon. read more
