Went in to sign up for a new membership and Grace provided excellent service! She knew the specifications and prices of each bed, the place was extremely clean and NO CONTRACTS! The cancellation policy was explained clearly to me and I was offered a copy. It seems in line with every other cancellation policy of any gym or tanning salon I have used. I truly don't understand the bad reviews! Yes, you have to get a form and mail it in 30 days prior, but cancelling a membership 30 days prior is typical in any salon. I LOVE the girls who work here! It's so nice to pay just $25 a month and get a GOOD bed with facial tanners. Love that the goggles are provided-unfortunately not the case for some corporate salons. The option to freeze your acct is very convenient too! I always walk in feeling welcome and my business appreciated and leave feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. read more

I just (successfully) went through the cancellation process at tan your hide. It's definitely a pain in the ass to cancel your account in comparison to most salons. However, when you get your cancellation form, make sure you go to the post office to have your form sent as certified mail (as stated on their cancellation form), otherwise it's easy for them to "not receive" or "mosplace" you letter. That happened to me the first time I attempted cancelling. Kinda sucks I have to spend another $50 when I no longer live in Belton to utilize the beds I'm paying for. But, at least I shouldn't have any more issues come December 1. read more

I WILL NEVER GET A MEMBERSHIP FROM HERE AGAIN! I stopped comming to them and 9 months later they started charging my card again with no warning or notice! Mind you im unemployed due to the corona and 6 months pregnant so im not going to come in and use their service and the manager still had the nerve to say we dont do refunds! I asked to talk with the store owner and was told we dont give out that information but i can come in to pick up a cancellation form to mail in before i get charged again! The manager on duty was very unprofessional and didnt help one bit! This place is so not worth the hassel! read more

When I wanted to cancel my membership they told me I had to come in and get a form to mail in to their billing company. I thought it was absolutely ridiculous that I had to contact THEIR billing company at all. Seemed like just another way to delay the cancellation, which obviously works. I sent the form in three weeks ago and now I just got billed again. I called and they said I had to give them 30 days notice so I was being billed again for a full month. This is just bad business, if I treated my customers like that I'd be out of business. I will never give them another penny... read more

DO NOT GET A MEMBERSHIP HERE, unless you are willing to jump through hoops and promise them the equivalent of your first born to cancel the membership. I called to cancel my membership and was informed I had to come in and VERBALLY give them a 30 day notice. No big deal, yet when I came in to give this notice I was informed I had to send a letter through certified mail to give the notice. But the letter did not get there until the 6th, so of course I get to get charged another month. Super unprofessional, super inconvenient. read more

DO NOT USE THIS TANNING SALON. The will not allow you to discontinue your membership with them. I had to cancel my credit card to stop the drafts and am now hiring a lawyer to severe the relationship. The trick you into "freezing" your membership, but will continue to bill you after the "freeze" is over. I have called and left messages for the owner to no avail. No returned calls and continue to be harassed by their billing company. Save yourself the headache you can tan at plant fitness for $21.00 a month plus have a gym membership with no contracts. read more

The tanning beds are great. However when u sign up u have to do automatic payments. Which was fine. But when you cancel you have to go into the tanning salon sign the papers. You then have to mail to another location paperwork to cancel. I have mailed it off. It is still charging me monthly. The response of the lil girl in the tanning salon was to certify mail it. I asked what they was going to do about the last four months that they charged me while I was not using their tanning salon. She said there was nothing they could do. So again I have to mail paperwork to a unknown location to TRY and have it stopped again. This is ridiculous. I didn't have to mail the other location for them to start taking money out of my account. Now I am on month 5 of autopay for a service I do not use. read more

As a long time resident of Belton, Texas I can only speak to my experience at Tan Your Hide. Ive been a member off and on for over 12 years, and it has always been the cleanest, and IMO best managed salon in the area. That might be why it has sustained its success while all the other salons in Belton have closed?? It strikes me as odd that someone could call them a fraud. Locally owned and operated businesses in small towns don't thrive when they defraud their customers. I have had to cancel my membership on two occasions when I relocated for extended periods and found the process very easy, and yes, I had to mail a form. I have also put my membership on freeze multiple times over the years for the months that I did not use the salon, again, a very easy process. Unlike many membership based businesses Ive used, they allow me to have an automatically billed membership that can be cancelled at any time without any commitment and no cancellation fee. I can also freeze my membership at any time so that I do not get billed during periods of time that I'm not using it. Btw, I have been allowed to retain my original monthly membership price for years, even when all of the beds get upgraded and replaced! I wish Tan Your Hide continued success so I can keep being a happy customer. Thank You! read more
