You can use the sauna for an hour, but they expressed most people end up using it for about half an hour and turns out we are like most people. They explained the different packages they have so you can save money if you want to do more than one self-spa session. Staff was friendly, spa has a relaxing atmosphere and the sauna was rejuvenating. For hours we were both so relaxed and saying we really needed the sauna session. We are very glad we came by.

I purchased a voucher or coupon through Groupon. I was nervous about going to a new salon. I love…read moremy old salon, but I wanted to try out other services in the area. I received two reminders via text leading up to the day of my appointment, which I appreciate. When I walked in, I immediately noticed the cleanliness and chic look of the salon. The front person welcomed me and notified the hairstylist I was there. I did not wait long. I met with hairstylist Natalie. She was great. I went in for a haircut, blow-dry, style, and conditioning treatment, but I also asked if she could touch up my roots and tone down my hair color. She looked at my hair, and we worked out a plan. Because I was asking for additional services, she was not able to do both, so I had to prioritize what I needed to be done first, which was my hair color. I should have told them over the phone about my additional service needs. As Natalie worked on my hair, she always kept me in the loop as to what she was doing and made sure I was comfortable. I asked about the toner process which she explained, the science behind it. I learned something new. I also liked that she had a nice hair style for herself. I don't trust hairstylist who can not style their own hair. I was served some hot tea (I was given 3 options: tea, water, and wine I think). When it came down to styling my hair, she asked me what my preferences were. I walked away a satisfied customer. I will be returning to use my Groupon voucher later this month. I love my hair's outcome; now, I look forward to seeing how Natalie layers my hair. Stay tuned for more updates.

Absolute Shear Magic is a hidden gem of a beauty salon. This past Saturday I took two small…read morechildren, ages four and six, for their first haircuts given by a beautician or barber. Yes, it is a long and very sad story. Anyway, the children, especially the four year old girl, were very sensitive about their hair. The girl only allowed her father and a day care director to touch her hair. She had been traumatized in the past. Nonetheless, the children immediately felt comfortable in Tina's marvelous salon, which is more decorated for Halloween than most elementary school classrooms. Tina offered the children candy and was exceptionally kind and patient as the boy chatted, and chatted, and chatted. Sharon Brown, a terrific beautician, trimmed the little girl's hair, and the girl's smile grew larger with every clip of the scissors. She complimented the child on her large dark eyes, previously hidden by an unruly mop. The child beamed. Next the boy sat down, slightly anxious, but quickly assured by Tina. Two happy kids left the salon with great haircuts at a reasonable price. I highly recommend Absolute Shear Magic.
