Follow up - closed without warning and left me with a number of prepaid tans. Poor business practices....no wonder they shut down.

I really do like this place. This is my second package with them, although this time it's not how I remember it. The staff was the farthest thing from friendly today when I purchased my new package. The girl was super rude and stand-off- ish, almost like she was too good to talk to me. She didn't ask if I wanted eye protection or tanning lotion but was more in a hurry up and get me out of the way. It's a shame because I really did want to buy some lotion but her attitude really made me feel differently... The beds though are very good and the place is clean in general. Would have had more stars if it wasn't for the staff. Update: This is for Angela since she wanted me to update my review. When I went into the shop today, I approached her to give her my name; But it was obvious she knew who I was since she mentioned this review I left. She apologized and said she was sorry. I sat on it for a minute and accepted it until she started making little remarks and clear faces that she was being very sarcastic. Let's cut the crap Angela, I know your not sorry. I speak sarcasm too and that was the most half assed apology I've ever received. For me as a customer, which I no longer will be after this package, it just makes it awkward. For you as a person, it's a shame that you can't take criticism and learn from it. As the owner, I would be embarrassed that I have a person like you working for my company. If it wasn't too late, I'd ask for a refund and take my business elsewhere. read more

They do not change the bulbs. When asked about them the owner began screaming at me. Very unprofessional

I went to tan seekers for my first spray tan for vacation..... wow, what a mistake! The girl didn't seem to know what she was doing. She couldn't figure out how to turn the sprayer on. I did t know what to expect considering it was my first time. however the next day I woke up with racing strips down my side . I called the salon to schedule a correction spray tan, but I was told there wasn't anyone to fix it that day. I had to go to another facility to get it corrected before I left for vacation. I called multiple times to speak to a manager..... it took me three weeks to get a return call. the. at that point the manager was rude and told me that no refund would be given. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE! The staff is a bunch of young girls who seem to not have training on spray tans. I recommend going somewhere else. read more

I like this place. I have been going here for years..... for those of you who go on how you want to stand and bs with the staff... whatever.... if you want lotion ask.... what the heck??? ok maybe someone should have asked you but you didn't ask when you wanted it??? that's ridiculous...... you think ??? Anyway, the place is clean, quick and does what it is supposed to do... If I get a bed where the bulbs stink or the bed looks like the fan is old or whatever I make a mental note of the room number and never go there again... even if there assigned... I tell them when I come out about whatever is wrong say.... don't put me in that one again.... make a note! I speak up!!! Generally a good place. What do you expect? It is a tanning place. read more

i got a spray tan here they did an amazing job and helped me on what to do as it was my first time there super sweet reminder if you must me 17 and up and need a parent signature lots of deals and all at a great price i will be back definitely recommend read more

I initially found tan seekers from googling tanning salons near Ross park mall (where I work). I called asked a few questions and was extremely impressed w how knowledgeable Beth was. They are honest. The place is always amazingly clean. You could eat off the floor. The star is kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable. The beds work fabulously. I KNOW, I know, tanning is bad for you. BUT THERE IS NO SUN IN PITTSBURGH. Seriously. The sun hibernates from November-March here. Why don't I live in Florida? Well, the closest thing I'm gonna get to Florida is Tan Seekers. A friend recommended this place so I thought I'd check it out. The storefront was dim at 8 p.m.... they almost didn't look open. But I went in and the girl at the front counter was so sweet and helpful. I had a Yelp deal for 1 free tan, but the clerk said that I could actually get 1 week free for being a new member. What?! This is awesome. I signed up using their slightly outdated Samsung tablet. It took a solid 5 minutes because of how slow the program was. The girl at the front desk was super personable and friendly. We stood there and chatted for a while. She was very welcoming. The clerk gave me some tips on how long I should tan for and put me in a bed. The bed and room was clean, and the bed didn't burn me at all (I asked for a bed with lower bulbs). I definitely recommend this place if you need some Vitamin D to get you through the winter months! Salon is very clean and the young sales girls are sweet as can be ( management is another story oh god) but the beds bulbs haven't been changed in a LONG time. I actually asked the older lady who works there and she said they were new bulbs- only to get ZERO color from THE 25 dollar level 4 bed?!?!? It's nonsense- please don't waste your money here. The management is crap and they only want to sell you products- that won't work considering the bulbs are about as bright as overhead lighting at Office Depot. Don't waste your money here- beware!!! read more

Choose a different place to tan. They know nothing about customer service or have any desire to keep their clients happy. Horrible service and dirty beds. I go out of my way to go to this tanning salon as I've been to some others in Pittsburgh that I have felt were slightly shady. This place is always extremely clean and fast. There is no wait for a bed and they have numerous different types available. Pricing is a little above what I've paid at most salons but seemed worth it when I factored all of this in. read more

Really enjoyed going to this place even though it's a bit out of my way UNTIL I just went there again and my sessions I had previously purchased in a package suddenly puff, disappeared without any warning. I was never informed about any expiration date when I made the purchase, and when I asked to speak to somebody in charge I was directed to a piece of paper that hung on the wall!!! So much for customer service! There go $20 down the drain I won't see again. Too bad this situation was handled so poorly. Won't be back again. read more

The beds are fantastic, the woman who assisted me was super nice, and the whole atmosphere is large and clean and airy. Overall a really nice place to visit. Plus, I got a free first week of tanning and honest advice about what my skin can handle. From my previous experience at tanning salons, they have the best intersection of price point and quality I've seen. read more

This place is mediocre at best. They shut down their Cranberry location with virtually no notice. The McIntyre Sq location leaves a lot to be desired... They randomly close early last night 10/18 was a prime example because they are suppose to be open until 10pm. I arrived at 9:30pm and the two girls advised be are closing early. This is ridiculous because I have a monthly membership and I drive over an hour to get there to only be informed they are closing early. I don't even know how a legitimate business can do this without notifying its members with a mass text or something? Unless you can go in the daylight hours, or live close in proximity, or don't mind wasting your time and money.... beware read more

Very, very friendly staff and knowledgable too. They had thorough answers to all of my questions. I'm going there right now not to get a tan but for the red light therapy bed to help my seasonal depression. I just started going so I can't say whether or not it helps yet but the facility is great. Double charged my debit card and then had an attitude when I brought it to her attention. Assuming she was the owner bc she was 50 years old. Won't be back. 32 dollars for for a crap bed with crap service read more

Clean facility, friendly staff & fast service. Has the best introductory offer for first-time clients (first week of tanning is free, no commitment, no email harassment to return). Took a few sessions to notice that eye protection is available at the front desk (it was never mentioned) but overall a great first experience! read more
