Elyssia was such a doll! Best experience I've had here by far. Came in for a late night tan after a hard day at work and she made my night. Big smile on her face and no sign of being annoyed with my lateness. To be specific I came in at 9:45 they close at 10 and I was even able to use the restroom after I tanned. I was out at around 10:05 and never caught an attitude from her and got the same smile coming in as I did walking out. I used to go to the Bridgeville location when it was called the Sun Club. And I loved it there! Now that it is under new ownership aka Sunsational Tan, it has gone completely downhill. Overpriced tanning packages, rude staff. I called last week to cancel my membership because I hadn't been using it. They told me that I had the option to freeze it online or I would have to come in to cancel it in person. So I went in there tonight and after I explained that I wanted to cancel, they wanted to charge me a $32 "cancellation fee" because apparently they need a 30-day notice if you want to cancel the membership. I told them that was not happening. They said that my account couldn't be considered closed until the fee was paid. I let them know that I would be filing a dispute with my credit card company. I will also be registering a complaint with the BBB. read more

Be aware! Thy will make you pay with a credit card then and say you can cancel at any time and then they make it hard to cancel. I had to get credit card company to get me off their plan. Worst place in the world. Say you start a package on 15th of the month- you get charged that day plus on the 1st of the month because it auto renews on first of month. Then they tell you it's easy to skip a month- no it's not! They make you call the owners and write a letter to the owner. What if you don't like to use credit cards? Terrible customer service/communication and at peak pandemic/during 2020 when I was using their tanning beds, they never wore masks at the front desk. They charge you for cancelling a membership and when I questioned the $70 charge the owner sent me a snooty email in response. This location is always very clean and the staff is always friendly and courteous. You are always greeted with a smile. The beds always very clean and most if not all the beds are new and they just updated their location with new floors. I love the place and I love the staff. They have always been very kind to me. I love Sunsational Tan. It is truly the best one in the Pittsburgh area. I will start with the cons: * I would like to see more mirrors, esp in spray tan rooms. * Better discounts for Titanium members for lotions. After 10% discount.. You pay the tax it's really not a discount. On to the positives: They have great beds, great package deals where you can use more than 1 service daily and go multiple locations if you want. Example; you could in one day use the massage table in Robinson and then go to Bethel and use the Hydrator, tan and spray tan if you wanted. You could spray tan and tan everyday on Titanium level if you wanted. Of course I wouldn't recommend it.. Other salons limit how many times you can use their Bronzer Beds. I hate that. Everyone tans different. The bulbs that make you red won't do anything for you if you have a deep tan. Each location has different things other than tanning such as massage chairs, massage beds, this one where you stand and it's like quick sand--I don't know the name of it but they have this room you stand in where the lights shine on you and it's for wrinkles. (Call the Robinson Store they can tell you) they have a ton of options! Get this- if a light bulb burns out in a tanning bed-- they FIX IT. Shocker. I know. LOL. If you have been to a couple other tanning salons then you understand my sarcasm. Make sure you start tanning before the warmer months start because that's when the good deals are. They have deals from 50% off, $0 enrollment.. make sure you go or call the locations.. you can lock in that price all year. I am kicking myself for that. I also want to clear up misconceptions and false claims I see in reviews. When you sign up for the monthly packages they deduct from your credit card at the beginning of the month, you are billed monthly. It can last as long as you want it too. Not like some places where you have to buy 3 months or 6 months for a lower price. You can cancel anytime or freeze your account. Cancelling, you will have you pay enrollment fees if you re join (they always have specials, since I have been tanning there they are waived). If you freeze you pay $5 a month and are still locked in the price.. Now, say you want to cancel in May. Let them know by the last day in March. I see people on reviews who misunderstood the cancellation process and lie and say they kept getting charged. They think you can cancel last day of April for the month of May. No. Let them know by the last day in March if you want to cancel in (month of) May. Think of it the way- would this company keep charging your card because their jerks? No. It's only going to p*ss off customers and make them not want to return. There would be a class action lawsuit. Matter in fact, when you do cancel or freeze, you sign the book and it's explained. It's also explained when you sign up. Sunsational Tan knows everyone doesn't tan all year round. Geez. I suck at taking pictures. Here are two. You should really go in and see for yourself. These beds are out of this world. Advice for tanning? Listen to your body. Use a good lotion to tan with and an after tan lotion. Edited to Add. Oh, and Sunsational Tan is very active on Facebook. This place is a waste of money. Their beds are horrible and the manager Liz Marsh is at best an uneducated, low brow, .... I won't continue that but more on her at the conclusion of the review. Stay tuned! The price was elevated but in talking to the first person that waited on me I was offered "bonus bucks" and was told I could use it toward lotions or upgrades to other beds. After going in the (only stand up bed they have) and USING THE BONUS BUCKS TWICE towards the lotion. I was getting no tan and had a base tan already. Another thing I was told was that I could cancel at anytime as long as I gave 30 days notice. At first visit I was told to sign an electronic pad and was provided no print out at that time. Granted I was on my lunch hour and rushing... She could have printed it out while I was ummmm tanning...? That didn't happen however. When I wasn't getting a tan I decided to cancel. I went in and was told "you have to write a letter to the owner to notify them you want to cancel". The strangest thing I have ever heard a business do and this was of course, the last day I had before giving notice in time to cancel for the next month, how convenient for them, they were getting more of my money. And then, again conveniently they handed me a print out of the bs policy superseding the paying customer standing in your location in person. At this point I am irritated but figure I will use up the rest of the "bonus bucks" on the better beds (I prefer stand ups but theirs is awful). Two times at least I do this and use the bonus bucks towards the lotion. Today I go in to do the same and finish out the package I have PURCHASED already from this place. I am told I cannot use the bonus bucks towards the lotion and the desk person calls the manager Liz Marsh to get approval because I complained I had already done it twice before. I can hear the manager yelling at the girl on the phone. I decide to ask to speak to the manager. "Hi I'm using the rest of my package up, I am not a frequent tanner and have already used the bonus bucks twice towards the lotion and just want to finish up the rest of my package, I'm asking you to make an exception" I barely finish my REQUEST and Liz Marsh begins to SCREAM "Are you crazy!!! That's me giving you something for FREE!! no way, you cancelled your account (let me interject it's paid until end of August) and expect me to let you use your bonus bucks?!" Basically at this point I stopped hearing her because yes I was telling her off about her misinformed employees or plain misrepresentation of their stupid sale and even stupider policies... Oh and screaming at a customer that paid!!! Get your shit together "sunsational"... This is in no way an elevated or unwarranted review ... She yelled at a customer ... I used to like this place, I put my account on the standby, wanted to come back sometime, I get charged a low rate each month but don't tan. I haven't been there in almost 2 years, I have asked to stop the billing. I have asked to discontinue my membership. I wrote a letter on April 6th to cancel my membership with them and to please stop charging my credit card each month, that I had trouble years ago stopping a membership. BUT they continually charge me EVERY MONTH. why .... how... is this professional ??? shame on this place... read more

Recently, I was at the Sunsational Tan in Bethel Park. I was given a pre-paid credit at SunSational Tanning by my husband. I wanted to change the services that I had. The young girl who was trying to help me was screamed at by her boss as she was trying to change my services. Clearly, the owner doesn't respect his employees as he berated her over the phone for trying to help her customer. I would never recommend a place that treated their employees with so little respect. I would also remind the owner that this young girl is someone's daughter and that he should remember that when he's speaking so ignorantly to her. He made me feel uncomfortable and I felt uncomfortable for her. Shame on you! You owe her an apology. read more

I absolutely love sunsational!! The staff are always very friendly and so helpful. I broke my leg and was unable to tan for 4 months and they put my account on hold so i didn't have to pay full price those months. I recommend Sunsational over any of the other places I've tanned. I'm very disappointed with my tanning experience at this place I tan at various salons this was definitely the worst A single tan was 16.50 I was given a bed in which the music did not work when I was getting in the bed the girl told me that the music may come on very loud because one of the beds did that but she wasn't sure which one so apparently they have issues with the music in various beds when I was done tanning I told the girl that I was very unsatisfied because the music did not work she basically didn't care so then I messaged the owner on messenger and they have the nerve to ask me well were you unsatisfied because the music didn't work or because of your tan hello does it really matter the point is I was unhappy to which the owner didn't carry either this place is a waste of your hard-earned money read more
