They're fine when they are actually open. I've been going to Lake Oswego Tan Republic for a little over a week. Twice they've been closed when I showed up, and twice the has been off to Starbucks or off doing whatever, so I had to wait for him to return. So I've been 10 times now. Of those ten visits, two I just left (no tan), waste of time and gas, two times had to wait for about ten minutes for the guy to come back and open the door. That's a 60% grade in my book. read more

I was with them for probably a year. I stopped tanning like months ago and I want to end my subscription now. They make you email this person with no name. They make you give them your information. I have still have not heard back from anyone. Like this is not professional at all. I'm about to call the news and better business bureau. I'm not messing around. This is not how it works. The person at the front desk needs to be able to cancel the subscription. What the hell. I'll give them 2 more days. I love to red light and Tan Republic is my favorite place when I am in Oregon. I am able to go to Tan Republic's all over Oregon and they have some in California now. If you buy a membership you can tan or red light at any facility. The staff is really nice and I'm always very happy. read more

I went two days in a row, got sun burned, got accused of stealing a hand towel, harassed from worker by phone, and no refund option despite me not wanting to come again. Don't give them any credit or debit card info- they'll keep charging your card long after you cancel and there's no one to talk to to stop the charges. I cancelled 2 months ago and they're still trying to charge my card. No one answers the phone or emails. read more

What a great experience after the crappy experience while being a member of the Gresham Tan Republic. The new owners have hired qualified and personable employees which has made both of my visits a pleasant experience. Jay, the manager was fantastic and Alicia was very good as well. Because the red light bed was still broken and was the next time after that, too. Sorry , I'm continuing my review in 2 parts because I want to let people know about this location, and a lot was wrong. Any way After my fourth visit I was able to use the red light bed, but not the spray tan because rude employee said it wasn't working, but I think she probably didn't want to clean it. She often discouraged me from going into the only bed I felt really worked well, which was a step down from my very expensive top of the line diamond membership , that was in theory unlimited but subject to if the beds were working, so it wasn't really unlimited, was it. So I was paying the diamond rate, but using the step down platinum bed because it was the only one I ever saw results with truthfully. And I had decided that I didn't care for the spray tan, but loved the red light bed so I was paying way to much for what I was getting. Anyway Rude one would tell me that that bed was used back to back and was probably too hot for me (code for it was dirty,) and put me in one of the other beds that didn't really do much, because the dirty good bed was the only one with new bulbs, I'm guessing. I didn't get noticable results with the elite diamond beds I was paying for. Since I never saw another paying customer on rude girls shift, and I even heard her tell her ever present friend that no one had been in at all today , as I was undressing to tan in a bed I didn't care for, so again, she lied to me and didn't care that I heard. She did that same thing twice. I brought my friends in to tan, three of them, who were paying the single visit of $30 for a spray tan every time, so I brought the store money in, and she treated us all rudely, when the great employee discussed options or deals they were running so my friends didn't have to pay $30 every time they came in. She went out of her way to make us feel appreciated and valued, while the bad witch made us regret choosing that tanning salon. Its hard for me to believe, in fact there is just no way that no one else has ever complained about the rude one before, so I have to gander that the owner of this location was aware of what a terrible employee she is, but still continues to employ her! As much as I love the good employee, as awesome as she makes the experience everytime I tan on her shift without fail, the last experience I had with tge terrible employee decided that I'm done with that location and didn't pay for my membership, and will be cancelling my card so they won't take an extra month out because they require a 30 day notice before they will release you from your monthly obligation, but since I feel the very subpar and disappointing experience between the horrible treatment and outright lies I received from that awful, yet supported employee and the lack of decent beds, or very old bulbs in all but one beds, and the horrifying unprofessionalism demonstrated by 1 if their 2 employees, I would rather end my relationship with this place and cancel my card then pay another $79.99 for a month I won't get, because of the Last interaction, which I won't go into for reasons that I don't want to start a part 3 was the last straw, and I won't go back and they don't really deserve a free 80 dollars from a unsatisfied new customer who won't be bringing or recommending new customers anymore, either. If the owner gave a crap about customers, or even making money, that place would be as good as my friends say they are. But I don't know how they even stay open with the few customers as they have. Pointless. They do save money by not changing the bulbs in any of there beds, including the top of the line beds. Only the one platinum bed had decent bulbs. Oh, we'll, I tried! read more

I have had great experiences at this place! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable! The store is clean with great products! They have a variety of options to choose from and almost never have to wait. I go here to prep my pasty white Scandinavian skin before going on vacation, and have had great results with their beds the past two summers! Highly recommend! The lotions are expensive but WORTH IT! I've been coming here for awhile now and i work 10 hr shifts and every employee except one has always taken me within 30 mins of closing and the last 3x I've come they've closed early when they say they're open til 9pm. Very disappointed in the lack of consistency and plain laziness of staff unwilling to stay open for loyal members. read more

Came in on a Groupon, tanning for an upcoming vacation. Unlimited for a month and staff helped ease me into a beautiful tan, ready for my trip. On my return, I became a monthly membership customer. The shop is always clean, staff is always friendly. I haven't used the spray tan service, but the Platinum and diamond beds are great. And there is a comfortable seating area if you do happen to have to wait. read more

I am writing about my experience with Tan Republic and a groupon I purchased. BE AWARE, They will not honor it if you have ever purchased a groupon for the same thing EVER. What it says on groupon and what happens are two different things. I purschased a groupon for a tanning package in 2019. Its now 2022 and was trying to purschase the same deal but after trying to redeem it i was told it would not be honored because of my previous deal in 2019. i was told that it would only be good for red light or spray tan as i had never purschased those from them before. I dont want that. I wanted the unlimited Platimun package for a month. What a total ripoff. Now i dont have a tanning package and have groupon bucks instead. This is not a good business practice. This business should honor its offers. If it isnt right you should amend the fine print in the offer. I am totally pissed off. Stay away. Keep your money in your pocket. I got a Groupon deal so I could see if I like it and overall my experience has been good. It always seems very clean, no wait time and no pressure from staff. The one thing I would suggest is that the staff suggest tanning times. I'm very fair skinned and my first time in the girl asked if I wanted to do the full time.
