Here's the updated version:…read more --- I can't recommend Dr. Andre Herrera and his team enough. After years of trauma with another dentist in Salinas -- full extractions in 2017, implants not finished until 2022, and teeth placed so wrong my whole face changed shape -- I thought I was just aging badly. Dr. Herrera was the one who identified that it was actually the previous implant placement causing it. That alone was such a relief. When an implant with three teeth fell out this past August, I panicked. I'd planned to go to UCSF to save money, but they wanted to do zygomatic implants over a full year, with 2-3 months of no teeth and constant drives to San Francisco. After a consultation, Dr. Herrera's office called and offered to do the full surgery for $8,000 less than UCSF quoted. I couldn't believe it. I would add a picture but it's just not doing it justice! He did my surgery on September 9, and I walked out with temporary teeth instead of going months without any. I'm 67 and swell/bruise easily, so I waited a few extra days before getting them put in -- but that's just my body, not his work. I cried tears of joy. Huge thanks to his incredible staff -- Heidi, Rosa, Mayra, Melissa, Alejandro and a female anesthesiologist who was fabulous.Everyone was compassionate, empathetic, and gentle. If you're in Salinas facing any dental or implant work, see Dr. Andre Herrera first. I wish I had in 2017.

This review isn't about the practice itself but the answering system they use for patients. For…read moresome reason you don't get directly connected to the office personnel but to this sort of answering system. I've been in a lot of pain since my extraction and currently going through an infection that's thankfully healing with the help of Dr. Tarsitano. When I went in for my post-op appointment regarding my discomfort and infection I was given a prescription for penicillin. I went in on Saturday 11/13/25 at 1pm. I was happy to be treated and prescribed. Unfortunately my pharmacy has limited hours on Saturday which I was not aware of. I proceeded to contact Dr.Tarsitanos office and of course got connected to the "answering system" the woman who answered the phone was extremely passive aggressive and very condescending. I was calling to see if my prescription could get sent to a CVS pharmacy since they are 24-hours. The woman who answered said "Can you hold on? I can't type that fast. Ok well didn't they give you a paper copy?!" I answered "yes they did give me a paper copy, would I be able to use that at a different pharmacy since they didn't originally send it there" She confirmed by saying "yes that's what it's for, do you have any other questions?!" Well turns out the paper copy I was given was just that. Only a copy. Not used for picking up actual prescriptions. So you can imagine how upset I was waiting in line at a CVS pharmacy after being told that paper copy would work and it doesn't. I'm very disappointed that Dr. Tarsitano would employ people like this who are so easy to brush off patients. I work in healthcare myself and would never work a job I am not happy at. So I'm wondering why this person does. I think Dr. Tarsitano should get rid of his "answering system" and just stick to voicemails. At least voicemails don't give you incorrect information, delay your healing process, and give you a bitter attitude everytime you call. These kind of ignorant passive aggressive employees shouldn't be the face of his practice. I was just trying to get my prescription filled.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Viray!…read more He is without a doubt, the best dentist I have ever had. He is extremely gentle, knowledgeable, and does great work. His office is quiet and comfortable with him as the only dentist and his sister as the DA/receptionist. They are both very friendly and are great. If you call and no one picks up, leave a message or try again because it's probably because they are busy with a patient since he sees them only one at a time- which I believe speaks so much about his attentive care and investment in patent's well being instead of just a money making business. At 21, I had my first filling experience with another dentist that went horrible, so I came here after a recommendation. Even with my horrible and painful first experience at another place, I still had 9 fillings to be done (Don't judge me!) With Dr. Viray, I feel like the minute I am lowered down and open my mouth, I take a nap and wake up and magically have fillings in my teeth done perfectly and without any pain. I am starting to suspect that he is related to the tooth fairy... I recommend him 100% to anyone wanting great gentle dental care! I appreciate Dr. Lewis for his expertise, his technical skills and his decades of experience. I'll be honest--walking into a new dental office made me a little nervous, but Darci (the assistant) was so warm and welcoming. She gave me a quick little tour and totally helped ease my nerves. It honestly felt like visiting a friend's office! Dr. Goldman was amazing--super knowledgeable and took the time to go over everything with me. She even complimented the onlays and veneers I had done previously, which made me feel like she really noticed the details. AJ, my hygienist, was also fantastic. He was so professional and made me feel completely at ease while taking my oral records. He asked thoughtful questions about my dental habits and even gave me a few helpful flossing tips I hadn't heard before. Plus, the office is beautiful and fully equipped with modern technology and little touches that remind me of my old dentist's place (which I loved).
