What I really enjoyed and appreciated about this salon was the cleanliness and friendly energy! I was immediately greeted and welcomed in and they adjusted my water temperature for my pedicure to exactly what I like AKA super hot! Yay! I requested to have a French manicure with black tips and purple glitter polish. She said she would give it a try and I feel like she nailed it. I just wanted the actual purple glitter and not solid, purple polish with it, but in the end I think it looked fun and witchy! Perfect for the season. I also appreciate that she took her time to massage my legs and feet and also took her time on the pumice stone scrub. A lot of other salons really rush through this and it's my favorite part being that I'm on my feet a lot and I roller skate. I'll be back for sure! read more

I am very glad I found this nail salon. This is a small shop, with limited staff. However, you get a solid pedicure at a reasonable price. The ladies are very friendly and experienced. One of my favorite things is that you can get in and out of here much more quickly than most nail salons. read more

And there is even a cute doggie to keep you company while you get your nails done. I loved my pedicure. My manicure was not that great. My nails were filed slightly crooked and the nail polish started chipping within three days. But for the price, I guess I can't really complain that much. It was only $32 for mani-pedi. Pedicure for $20? Yes please! Don't get it twisted, this place is not luxury. No frills by any means. But I had a great pedicure, places that give you a salt scrub usually charge extra saying its a "deluxe pedicure" but the salt scrub was included and they give you a nice long massage of your legs and feet. Nail art was beautiful. My mani polish lasted about 2 days, but I didn't expect too much from that. This place is not a fancy nail salon. You will not be offered wine or even water with your service, you won't get the spa experience or that nice calm serenity you get in the more luxurious spots. But you will get a great gel manicure for $25. It's an older spot that is in need of major updates. Tamy is a wonderful woman who takes very good care of her customers. She is always there, and if she can't fit you in when you walk in, she'll stay late to accommodate you. She has fixed broken nails for me on the spot, remembered me after my first visit and is just an overall pleasure to have my nails done by. Her daughter is also great, who works on the weekends. Others mentioned that this place is dirty or unsanitary. It's old, so of course it doesn't feel like the shiny new spots. There isn't great ventilation either, but they're clean. Every tool that as been used during my multiple visits has been new, and if you ever felt uncomfortable about anything, Tamy would respond/fix it because she's just great with customer service. Lastly, what I love about this place is that I'm in and out fast. I don't like taking up hours for my nails. If you're looking for pampering this isn't for you. But if you just want to make your nails look good without losing half your day, then Tamy is for you. I've been going to Tamy Nails since 2004 - I loved Tamy, her daughter Kim and Max! However, one day this summer I go in and Tamy, Kim and Max are gone, no one knows when Tamy will be back. Next time I go in, the Salon is re-decorated, prices are higher and still, no one will say that the salon has been purchased, no one will say where Tamy is??? I don't know the Vietnamese culture but I was, and continue to be, concerned for Tamy. Her husband was always eerily hanging around but not doing anything - always felt a bit uncomfortable with that and is the basis of my concern. All of that said, the salon did need to be freshened up a bit ...and I am still getting the same, great re-bases that Tamy gave. The pedicures are adequate. They don't do any real cuticle work but if you just want a buff-polish and light massage, this is the place ...the new chairs are outta this world! This is a solid, no-frills place. My pedicure was okay. I understand poorly done acrylics but sloppy nail polish? I was so excited for Easter themed nails but after this place I was very disappointed. I had to tell the lady to paint certain areas because she missed some spots. Overall she was very sloppy and really did not care. They charged me $70. I'm no pedicure expert. I maintain my own foot-health well enough with lotions and scrubbings, and paying somebody else to paint my toenails just seems... well, indulgent and silly. Occasionally, though, the situation calls for something a little indulgent and silly. Case in point: when one is 7.5 months pregnant and can no longer reach one's toes! Still, I don't want to waste a week's grocery money on my toenails. That just doesn't seem right. Enter Tamy Nails. For the lowlowprice of $20 (CASH ONLY), you get the kind of pedicure that might cost you two or three times that at a posh, fancy salon. Hells to the yeah! What you get: OPI nailpolish (not a huge rack of choices, but decent enough). A salt scrub on your legs and feet. Clean, jetted foot tubs. A massage of your legs and feet. Attention to your cuticles. Buffing and pumice-stoning. Three coats of polish (and whatever that base-stuff is they use beforehand). And a KICK ASS massage chair. Oh, I could've sat in that thing all day. What you DON'T get: complimentary champagne or bottled water. A whole lot of recent magazines (did you know Amanda Knox was released from prison a year ago? I do now!). Annoying cell-phone chit-chat from a richer-than-thou Cherry Creeker complaining about how the Jaguar her husband bought her for her birthday doesn't have cup-holders large enough to hold her double-skinny mocha Venti half-caff frappewhatzit. Awkward conversation with your nail tech (I do love me some silence). Those UV-light-thingies that make your toenails dry faster-- which is just fine by me because that means EXTRA TIME IN THE MASSAGE CHAIR while I wait for my piggies to get flip-flop-donnable. If you're looking for frills or a fancy destination experience, this isn't your place. But if you're like me-- practical, frugal, but in dire need of somebody to deal with your feetz-- you owe yourself a trip to Tamy Nails. Two weeks later, my toenails still look perfect. read more

There are no frills here so if that's your thing (no judgement), set an appointment with the salon across the parking lot. I got a spa pedi and gel mani for $45 which is pretty standard, I'd say. No they don't have a ton of colors and yes the gel is off brand but come on, do you really need all those colors and "name brand" polish? No. What's most important is their work is absolutely flawless (at least for me). She was very meticulous on cleaning the polish from around the nail AND (this is a big one so brace yourself) went all the way to the cuticle with the gel polish! Bonus points: they have a super cute shop dog named Max who's very sweet and friendly and will sit on the stool next to you while you're getting a pedi. read more

I gave Tamys Nails 3 stars due to the kindness of the employees & they quickly did a good eye brow wax. As a healthcare professional in infectious diseases, I would not get my nails done there. There were large cobwebs in the ceiling, cracks throughout the tile, and trash behind the desk. Maybe it just needs a good update, but the appearance does not reflect a clean sterile environment. He had never had one, and I needed to de-winterize my feet before wearing sandals in public. We went in around 4:30 on a Saturday and were accommodated right away. The ladies did a great job. My lady spent a good amount of time removing my existing polish, so the dude got a super long foot massage to make up for that time (he was pretty thrilled). The place was clean and the ladies were very nice and professional. Don't get me wrong, we felt like we were in that episode of Seinfeld when Elaine needed George's dad to help translate, but it was a worthwhile stop either way. I'm happy to show off my summer feet! This nail salon is by far the least sanitary salon I've ever been to. I went in for a manicure and the place reeked of nail fumes, there was very little ventilation in the salon besides propping the door open. The color selection wasn't good either...many polishes looked like they had been there for years. There were no signs that they cleaned any of the tools and the stations were unclean and disorganized. On top of all that, my nails chipped within a day! New to Denver, I visited Tamy Nails today. Wow: a hidden gem. Not that this place sparkles with "upscale" anything, but I left with excellently finished shellac "American" nails and was in and out in 45 minutes. $28. Of course I left a nice tip. Not much English is spoken, but great care is given, and I felt pampered by the kindness of the nail technicians. Two worked on me: perhaps one woman was training. I watched TV and relaxed, but the technicians were all business. No pain, no bleeding cuticles, and all fresh polish. The nail "cooker" was a tad used, but I expected the same, actually. Nice thing is that parking is easy, too. Most of all, the care and respect for me as a customer was #1. This will be my go-to nail place in Denver. And they take credit cards. read more

This is a basics place, meaning it has no bells and whistles. It is well priced and the staff is friendly. Someone mentioned cobwebs, which may be the case, but I generally the sense that I get is that the salon just isn't froufrou or ostentatious by any means. I've been to high end salons and their chairs or cleaning process look no different or more impressive than this place. I think the quality of work is fine and tends to last weeks on me. Enter Tami Nails. It is not a palace of luxury, but a $15.00 pedicure for kids, $20.00 for adults, you can get a darn good pedicure. The service was fantastic, and through there are only two employees, I was in a foot bath almost immediately. After a lovely soak, I was treated to a salt scrub, and then a moisturizing lotion foot and calf massage that was just heavenly. My feet were not in good condition, but they now look like they could grace the pages of a magazine. The nail art is beautiful, and the staff was very polite. All of the nail polish was quality (OPI) and I expect that it will last. Because of the limited staff, I would recommend calling ahead, and FYI, they only take cash. I would rate this place a ZERO star if it were an option. Not worth $20. This is the very worst pedicure I have ever had in my life. I wish I would have refused to pay them. I actually tried to cancel the check but the fee is as much as the check amount My toes look horrible. It was uncomfortable, unclean and took FOREVER. The girl cut my toe. Tamy was applying nail polish in a very akward position and messed up numerous times ... then tried to fix it... always making the mistake more glarring. My toes look like I let my 1 year niece play with nail polish. I will never go there again and you shouldn't either. read more
