I had to write this review because I had such a great experience!! I have been to just about every nail salon in Harrisonburg and have honestly hated all of them but this one was a breath of fresh air. I actually had to stop getting my nails done at school because the other salons are so bad but not this one!!! This was my first time going and I got a design so I was nervous but they turned out so great. I was also able to make an appointment online which is awesome. Usually my nails are anywhere from $70-$90 so I thought these would be around the same but nope!! The nails i got were only $50. I don't think my nails have ever been that affordable especially not with a design. I will definitely be going back and recommending this place. Easy to make an appointment, good nail artists, and affordable!!! read more

Nice people. Clean. .... but all regular polish is so old it won't dry. Two hours later and still not dry. This is the second chance I've given them. Won't be going back. read more

Used to go for pedicures a while back but stopped getting my nails done. Went back today for a pedicure and did not regret it. Pedicure turned out fantastic and I haven't been this satisfied with a pedicure in a long time! read more

Been going to Tammy's for a few years. Today I got one of the worst pedicures. It appeared to me the young man doing the pedicure was more interested in watching what was going on in the salon and couldn't wait to get in back to get on his phone. He didn't massage feet at all (did legs a little); after he didn't attempt to clip nails, I requested it and the only response I could understand from him was he could only file them which he proceeded to do only the two big toes; he barely scrubbed the callouses; the polishing was ok but nothing to brag on. It's time for me to find another salon. read more

This place has been my go-to for years. Every time I go the service is professional, friendly, and very gentle! They even offer coke, Diet Coke or water! The chairs are always in working condition and they always remember and recognize us as returning customers. I get their gel manicure, pedicure and eye brow. Results are always perfect and completely painless. They really know what they're doing and they appear very sanitary. I've noticed, I'm an RN! The price is right and I have never been dissatisfied with their quality service, expertise and finesse. 5 stars! read more

Liam did a FANTASTIC job on my nails. I got a gel manicure and I could not be more pleased!! It was a very busy night, but I walked in and they were able to fit me into their tight schedule! So glad that I came to visit the shop! I will definitely be visiting again! read more

The man who did my full set did a nice job, but was not super friendly. Definitely knew what he was doing, but barely said any words or much less even gave me a smile. Oh well. Will still probably go back to get them filled in the future. read more

I would give them 0 stars if possible. They offered gel nail polish to my daughter and then said the dryers weren't safe for an 11 year old. She air dried her nails for what seemed like an eternity. I got my gel polish , manicure and pedicure done during the wait time and her nails and toes still weren't dry. I called and returned for them to fix them the next day. My daughter recorded them talking and translated it, they called me a bitch for asking them to fix her 4 toenails and 2 finger nails. I had to return 2 times (3 total) and they burned my skin on my eyelid because the wax was so h0t. I didn't even complain about that and now I have a scab on my eyelid. I will recover but this place won't ever see a dime from me again. Beware people! And they had the audacity to charge me $30 more dollars for the 3rd and final repair. Seriously! Run from this place! read more

I had an appointment for pedicure & the nail tech was 10 mins late showing up for work. Never apologized or said a word about being late. Didn't adjust my chair so with short legs I was uncomfortable the entire time. She was kept messing with my big toes and I thought they were bleeding at one point. This morning I have a bruise on my ankle where she was holding my foot up and can't get a shoe on because the toes are sore. Glad I didn't do polish. read more

Went in and asked if they could take 2 manicures and 2 pedicures and they said yes. I even confirmed with the woman again. After 15 minutes, the woman approached me to tell me she could only do one of us because she had an appointment. Will never return. read more

I was disappointed with my service here. I asked for a design and was told no problem. However after my pedicure, when she started my fill I asked if she wanted to look at the picture again and I was told she couldn't do the design because it was two colors. I was confused because she had told me before it was no problem. Apparently another lady was actually supposed to do the design and was busy with another customer. Since we hadn't even started on my nails I assume they just didn't want to do the design. I felt that I was lied to and I won't be back. read more

I work in the spa/salon/therapy industry and I have been to many salons all over the east coast. I see Tammys Nails as a very professional place. Always offer a drink of soda or water. The owner speaks English well and the nail techs always give excellent service. The paraffin wrap with manicure is a great touch. There have be many different reviews through out the years and they definitely updated there equipment including pedi chairs and cleaned up well. They are frequently busy towards evennings which is a good sign. During the day easiest to get in and out with out a line. They have many polishes and shellacs to choose from. Sanitary tools and even let you take the files they used during your service with you home. read more

Tammy's Nails - New pedi chairs. Good update - Nail Salons Near Me - Harrisonburg, Virginia

DO NOT GO HERE! By far the worst manicure I have ever gotten and way too overpriced. I got an acrylic fill in with gel nail polish on top. The guy put 6 coats of gel on instead of the typical 2 or 3 from a normal nail salon. This resulted in the nail polish chipping in less than 24 HOURS. I went back the next day and they did fix the chips for free, however it just didn't look good after that. I was absolutely enraged when the polish continued to chip day after day. I finally went to another nail salon to get my acrylics off, and learned that the manicure I had received from Tammy's Nails gave me a bacterial infection under my finger nail! If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Would not recommend a manicure from this place to my worst enemy. read more

I'm not sure why this place has such good reviews. I live in the area and have been to most nail places around. I don't get a simple manicure or square shape gels I get very nice long acrylic coffin nails. This place use to be my favorite but I started getting a man who was horrible! He didn't take his time it ended up in my nails coming up after not even a week! I come in to show them to get them glued back down and they are trying to get me to say who did them which I did not want to do because I didn't want to cause any trouble I just wanted my nails fix. They knew who I was I go all the time. They began laughing at me and making fun of me. They fixed my nails and shortly after they came back up. I never went back. read more

Tammy's is my go to for my pink and white fill and pedicure whenever I come up to Massanutten. Clean, professional and great service!

Here visiting the area, my sister and I decided to get a little pampering, so we popped in and we're quickly greeted and offered water or a soda. Immediately settled in for our pedicures, we were grateful to be side by side and finished up with manicures. Very attentive and good prices. read more

*long review* So I thought I had found the holy grail of nail salons for myself because this place is really great. They pay attention to detail, they're all really friendly and accommodating, my nails look great 9/10 times. Here's where things go wrong, there's no price list/service list on the wall which means you have to ask for the price of what you want. I hadn't asked ever before because usually prices are fairly similar wherever you go. When I switched from regular polish to gel polish the price increased. That's fine, however the last time I went I paid almost $70 for a full set/acrylic nails. To me that's a bit ridiculous. I went back yesterday after a few weeks since paying $70 and decided to ask how much it would be. I was informed that a full set is $25, gel is $17 extra, AND they charge an extra amount for "longer" nails or if you want a "special shape". Now I don't like my nails crazy long but i like a little length otherwise I'd just have my natural nails painted....I asked how much extra for coffin shaped medium length nails and all she would say is "it depends how long." So i said I'd rather not pay more than $50. And showed her a picture of what I wanted, and she said ok we can do that. So I went with what she was doing and by the end of it my nails are not what I wanted at all and I wish she would have just told me how much extra money it would've been so I could've had the nails I wanted. I understand shaping nails differently is more difficult work but really a length charge?? This wouldn't be as frustrating had the prices been available on the wall in the store. Instead, you go in expecting a way lower price than you leave paying. I'm not sure if I'll go back yet. read more

I was greeted quickly as a walk-in and immediately seated for a mani and pedi. They did not have matching gels and I had to scour selections to get close. The pedi was ok, very limited massage of calfs. The mani was sloppy and a lot of gel under my nails. Tops of nails loomed great. read more

Pros- Really nice People. Lady was very attentive who did my eyebrows and nails. Although my eyebrows weren't perfect, she was attentive and tried her best. My friends pedicure was beautiful, it was done by an older male. Cons- I got my nails polished and they came out blotchy and messy. I have never seen the edges of my nails cleaned with a brush and acetone..which leaves a white cast around my nails. When I told the lady that there was paint on the sides of my nails, she used the excuse that that was my cuticles?? really, that makes no sense... She needs to work on her basic polishing skills. She didn't cut my cuticles, didn't massage my hands, just nothing. Long story short, I came here because my friend went and I went along but I normally go to Valley Nails. My nails are always perfect and always look like gel when I go there although its just plain polish. I won't be back here, This confirms that Valley Nails is truly the best for me. read more

The staff was very friendly and polite, but my gel manicure wasn't very good. The shape was not what I specifically asked for (I asked for square and they ended up being oval) and the color swatch I picked out looked very different once it was on my nails. Overall my experience there was pleasant, but next time I'll probably go somewhere else. read more

Upon a recommendation from a friend I tried this place. The salon was clean and did not have the typical nail saloon chemical smell. The pedicure basins are lined with plastic which is changed with each customer. They did not skimp on the foot and leg massage! The toenail work was impeccable. And all for $25. This is my new go to place. read more

I've been to Tammy's salon three times in a week because my gel manicure keeps peeling off. The have offered to replace the color but the problem is the fill was not done correctly. The fill is what is peeling and they were not wiiling to redo the entire process. I would never recommend this salon. I paid 85.00 for manicure and pedicure and both have to be redone somewhere else and paid for again. read more

Disappointed. My mom and I stopped in for pedicures. My mom had a lady who was very friendly and had taken her time. Me on the other hand, had a man, and he didn't use any lotion on my feet, nor rub them. Just my legs. I've never had a pedicure where they skip massaging your feet. (That's the best part in my opinion!) read more

I've tried several nail salons in Harrisonburg and this one is, by far, the most consistent. I love the team there - everyone is so welcoming and kind. I also love that they open the packs of tools fresh from the sanitizer right in front of you and that they give you your nail files when you leave. Cleanliness is key! They have a great color selection (Essie, OPI, etc). The paraffin dip that comes with the manicure is a nice touch. read more

The one thing I love here is how clean it is, this was our first time here since the nail salon that we went to ended up closing, I'm not very happy with their work, I left with polish on the skin around my nails, and the polish was applied blotchy, the girl who did my nails never cut and cleaned my cuticles. The bottom of my foot was never scrubbed and still had calluses on them, when my mom had pointed out that there was a hangnail, the girl gave her an attitude and claimed that she hadn't gotten to it yet and then rolled her eyes. They have the worst costumer service and attitude torwards their costumers from what I had noticed. I do not recommend this salon being that there are plenty of better ones around. Also to explain that they do not have their pricing anywhere in the store so you go in not knowing how much you are spending until it's too late... not to mention acrylics are priced based on length and shape, and if you would like to lengthen your nails they charge extra. Overall I think that this place is a joke, DO NOT RECOMMEND!! read more
