At first, my psychiatrist/nurse practitioner was really kind, caring, and considerate. Within…read moremonths, he started calling me to the back 30 minutes after my appointment was scheduled. He gave me a prescription for a med and it worked good and then the next refill, my current pharmacy changed manufactures and the it made me feel very sick. I called and left a message to let him know and he suggested that we send it to a different pharmacy which worked out the first time. Last month, he sent the med to the wrong pharmacy and I have been trying to contact him since. No response, the pharmacy reached out to him several times and he won't answer. Why would you put someone on meds and just stop responding? This med is horrible stopping and then starting again. I won't be back.

They dont give quality care because they just dont listen to their patients. My doctor tried to talk to someone higher up to get me a subsidized rate for community therapy and the guy said that I "would be greatful unless I paid for it." He also said that I wasnt having hallucinations. I was diagnosed with a psychotic disorder and hospitalized not long after.

Part of my struggle was avoiding conflict, so I made an effort to respectfully address a concern about our sessions. I figured it was a safe space to practice the tools she had provided me. That conversation did not go well at all! She became upset and threw some of my trauma back at me. I think I already knew in my gut that I needed to move on, but I was trying to give it a chance since I hadn't yet addressed my concerns. After that conversation, it became clear that it was time for me to move on.

Then i noticed she would nkt read my homework so in return we were having the same convos every session. With her asking the same set of questions like we didn't just discuss the same shit last week. Then i noticed she would take what i said from sessions ago and repeat it to me as though I had magically never heard it before. Yellow bird is great, just be mindful of which therapist you select because mine was definitely there for the check. How do I know that? I know it because she would rush and schedule me for 3 consecutive weeks but only when i took two weeks from counseling. Then when i didn't schedule any appointment Danielle Parks would schedule me appointments anyway, text me to say don't worry about the appointment, then I'd get billed. The appointment thing was weird, i let it fly, but getting billed!?!?! Bish hello! The economy is doing it's big one I tell ya. All in all Danielle Parks isn't a good therapist more like a good success coach for college students ya know!

Her ability to listen, provide insightful support, and knowledge of her trade has provided me with an arsenal of tools I can use to get through those tough moments even when she's not physically there to talk me through them! Not to mentioned, her get-after-it attitude is inspiring as she encourages you to face your struggles head on to overcome them.
