I was already irritated at the fact that the PA did not know or have all the initial information on hand in which she stated "she just grabbed my chart" Dr. Hunt came in and was very thorough and considerate however she gave me a list of lasers she recommended which was at a extreme price and was more over price than anyone I've been quoted for and the chemical peels was hundreds of dollars which can be covered for insurance and free but they only do out of pocket peels. In retrospect I will not be going back and wouldn't recommend due to pricing and miscommunication.

Before switching to Inverness Derm, I had been a patient at a large dermatology practice in the Highland Park neighborhood. After many years at that practice, my "Dr" would still come in the examination room and introduce herself to me as though we had never met before even though I have been seeing her every 6 months for several years!!! Between that unbelievably impersonal attitude and couple of other things I left and found Inverness Derm. Once there, I couldn't believe the difference in company (or practice) culture. The staff at the other practice was rude and very aloof... I think they were suffering under the illusion that they were God's gift to medical administration or something. It always felt like we patients were cattle being herded through the office. Not pleasant at all! Anyway, the staff at Inverness has always been very helpful, friendly, courteous, and prompt. I'd also like to say that the friendliness has been very consistent over the 5 years that I've been a patient. On my first visit, I saw Dr. Jacobson. She took a good amount of time speaking with me about my condition and gave me the recommendation she said she would "give to her niece". I appreciated her candor and knowing that she was giving me the same advice that she'd give to her family. Every visit I've had with Dr. Jacobson has been very positive. She's great. I've also seen the P.A., Mary Beth Templin, a number of times. She's very thorough as well, and very friendly. I've always felt very comfortable under her care. As I said above, the whole staff is great. I've been late to a few appointments over the time, and they've always graciously worked with me. Also, I've never had to wait over 20 minutes or so to be seen. Bottom line: Inverness Derm is great. If you need a dermatologist in Birmingham, this is the place!

I saw Dr Curl about six weeks ago for my annual skin cancer check. She saw a mole that I have never…read morenoticed and biopsied it. The path report came back as atypical cells. She removed the mole and placed stitches, etc. Dr Curl's nurse (sorry that I forgot her name) was very professional and went above and beyond to reassure me and went out of her way to explain the entire process to me to put me at ease. The stitches were removed a couple of days ago and all is well. I was treated with ultimate respect and the whole process was nothing short of excellent. I would recommend Village Dermatology. My husband also gets his annual skin cancer checks at Village Dermatology. Dr Curl biopsied a suspicious spot on his face which turned out to be basal cell skin cancer. We have both been very satisfied with our experiences here.

The employee I spoke with told me they did. She said I didn't need an appointment to purchase Latisse. She told me to come to their address and come by suite 108, which is their apothecary. This office is not far from my orthodontist so I knew exactly where to go. They are not far from the new Trace Crossings shopping plaza. Parking was a breeze. Their apothecary is on the first floor, right past the elevator. When I stood at the door, I was immediately greeted. I told them I wanted to buy Latisse and they helped me right away. They had the 5 ml bottle of Latisse, which comes with 140 brushes. This is around a 3-4 month supply. It retails for $179 plus tax. They asked how I heard about them and thanked me for coming by. After reading and completing a form and paying, I was on my way. I will be back once I run out.

Text messages are aggressive with warnings about missed appointments or being late how how they will charge you. Not a good first impression.
