Great place in a Zephyrhills/Wesley Chapel area. It's relatively new and very beautiful inside. Definitely an upgrade to the area. I believe this is the only upscale place in the close proximity. Service was attentive and friendly. We had cod croquettes, vendura pasta and seafood risotto. Food was pretty good, flavorful and portions were decent. Croquettes were nice and filling, definitely could taste some cod. Seafood risotto was pretty good, had decent amount of the seafood. Vendura pasta was good but pretty heavy and it said that it will have pistachio but we couldn't taste it. To finish we ordered tea and cappuccino with oat milk, it wasn't a cappuccino and tasted really bad. It was just coffee with oatmilk and not a good quality coffee. So I wouldn't order a cappuccino from them., Other than that food was pretty good, but a bit pricey.

I recently visited Tallo with a reservation for three to celebrate a family birthday. Family had recommended we give it a try. The restaurant has a classy ambiance with great music, making it feel like a high-end destination. However, the noise level was so overwhelming that our party could barely communicate, which made the celebration feel a bit strained. We started with drinks and appetizers, but the experience was mixed. My smoked old fashioned lacked balance; other than the smoke, it tasted like straight bourbon and felt like a very small pour. We also ordered the calamari, which was priced at a premium but served in a very small portion and was significantly overcooked to a "burnt crispy" texture. On a positive note, the accompanying aioli and marinara sauces were excellent. For entrees, the churrasco and the fried yucca were the highlights of the night. However, the filet mignon was surprisingly chewy and difficult to cut--not what you'd expect from a $49 cut of meat. My seafood risotto tasted good, but the portion was small for the $34 price tag, containing only four mussels, three shrimp, and two scallops. There was no lobster to be found in the dish, as stipulated in the menu. When a restaurant positions its pricing alongside the higher-end competition, the execution and portions need to be comparable in every way. The location is a bit out of the way so I don't know if we will return.

Excellent food, great staff took care of us. Fun tasty drinks, would recommend to anyone who wants to just sit down and enjoy a good meal and cool vibes.

Tallo has potential. This is after 2 visits. The ambiance is chic; you can tell time and energy was placed into the aesthetics. Probably one of the few "fancy looking restaurants" in the area. Great for celebrations. The drinks are delicious. The Sunshine Spritz was my fave, if you like drinks on the sweeter side. The watermelon basil is also good too. The potential is really working on elevating the flavors of the food and consistency. I had the seafood risotto my first time here and it was fantastic. I brought my mother after raving about it. They ran out of the risotto so we opted for the lemon chicken and the salmon and we were both not impressed. The salmon was too dry and lacked flavor. I took my leftovers home and never finished it. The chicken, as per my mother, was pretty basic, nothing to rave about. The calamari appetizer was delicious. So the inconsistency has me a bit concerned but if they can really hone in on their craft, they can remain a great staple in Wesley chapel.

I came here for my birthday brunch with friends, I'd been wanting to try Tallo ever since I got the news that they were open. My expectations were blown out of the water. Our waitress was very sweet and the service itself was pretty quick. We ordered the smoked fish dip for a starter and it was so yummy! The dip paired with the baguette was perfect. I then ordered the Steak a Caballo (basically steak & eggs) for my entree. This is usually my go-to, and I have had several bad experiences recently, but I would come back solely for this dish! I ordered my steak Medium and it was grilled to perfection. The chimichurri was the perfect addition, and the eggs and rice were delicious as well. The restaurant itself provided a very elevated feel, the noise level was pretty quiet and it wasn't too crowded. I absolutely enjoyed my experience and will definitely make my way back. Bravo!

What a great find! We have lived in the area and was not aware of this great place as it is tucked into a "strip mall" area with a lot of other cute shops and boutiques off the main road. We dropped in while having our dog groomed next door. Cute area and the inside is classy/elegant. We had lunch and enjoyed the burrata and steak sandwiches. Burrata was really good and they added peaches as well as the tomatoes with balsamic. Very flavorful! We are definitely coming back for dinner!

The seafood risotto was to die for! Everything on the menu is delicious and presentation is perfect. The restaurant is beautiful and perfect for a special occasion or date night. Its location makes it kind of a hidden gem. The service was top tier. I've been 3 times and looking forward to going back again soon.

From the moment we walked in, it was an experience. My husband and I came for dinner first -- the churrasco was absolutely amazing, and my husband had the Chimi burger and said it was the best he's ever had. I came back again with my girls for brunch and whew... chef's kiss. Since this spot is basically in our backyard, we'll definitely be regulars. Thank you for bringing a restaurant of this quality to our side of town. Shoutout to the servers too -- super friendly and helpful when walking us through the menu. Can't wait to come back!

Tallo was the perfect choice for my granddaughter's graduation dinner. Tallo is a fairly new and welcomed addition to Wesley Chapel. The warm and eclectic vibe was absolutely beyond measure. The servers were extraordinary, pampering our guests. The appetizer menu looked most inviting but I declined because I wanted to save room for my entree which was Churrasco, medium-rare, with Aioli Potatoes and Asparagus with the Chimichurri on the side. And, of course, I started my culinary experience with a very nice Old Fashioned. Everyone in my group had a great time and I will definitely return to try some of the items that I eyeballed on the menu.

Tallo is one of those rare gems that feels like a secret worth keeping--nestled quietly off the beaten path, yet bursting with energy, warmth, and a soul you can taste in every bite. From the moment we stepped inside, we were wrapped up in the upscale vibe that whispers, "You're in for something special." The Churasco Steak was a masterpiece--perfectly grilled with a juicy, rich crust that sealed in all the flavor and was almost outperformed by the house-made chimichurri, which added a bright, herbaceous and citrusy zing. Every bite was decadent, savory and layered with intention. The Caribbean Salad is a unique combination. Vibrant and fresh, it's topped with plantains and fried cheese. I added grilled salmon to the side, and they didn't skimp on the portion size. The calamari? Delicately crispy, not greasy, and perfectly seasoned. It came with a homemade remoulade dipping sauce that had just the right kick--elevating a classic appetizer into something unexpectedly addictive. The Puerto Rican Sweet Bread was soft and warm, with a slightly sweet, buttery flavor that melts in your mouth. In an era where terrible customer service has become the norm, Tallo really outshines them all! The service was nothing short of impeccable. Our server, Brian (with an I), had the kind of attentiveness I rarely see anymore. He was never intrusive and was always a step ahead. He anticipated needs, noticed preferences and moved like someone who genuinely loves what he does. The manager, Elsie, is the quiet engine of it all. Her presence was felt in the way things flowed, the way the team clicked, and the way every table seemed to be getting five-star treatment without fanfare. She checked in just enough to let us know we were truly welcome. But the moment that really sealed the night? When the chef himself emerged from the kitchen--not just to say hello, but to personally bring my friend a container of the chimichurri sauce to take home for his birthday. No fuss, no theatrics, just a heartfelt gesture that meant everything.

I had dinner with a group for my friend's birthday and was immediately impressed by the decor when I walked in. I ordered a watermelon mocktail which was SO good, sweet and refreshing. For the meal, I got the cod entree with garlic broccoli. Unfortunately, I didn't take a picture of the cod entree when I received it so the attached picture is half eaten. The cod was beautifully placed and was pretty tasty with the avocado and tomato tucked in. For the most part, everyone enjoyed their food. The steak sandwich wasn't a hit and the burger was so-so based on the group's feedback. Our server was really nice and did well overall. The only downside was that the food didn't all come out at once and it took some time to get the second half of meals. If I were in the area again, I would try another dish.

Wow. Food that is seasoned to perfection and so full of amazing flavor!! The prosciutto and spinach flatbread has a combo of flavors that will make your tastebuds dance. The churrasco steak was cooked beautifully. It was so tasty that I almost didn't want to use the chimichuri sauce that came with it. Even the asparagus on my plate had great flavor. The drinks were fantastic, the dessert was delicious, and our server was attentive and friendly. I can't wait to go back and try more.

So I visited this restaurants for a friend's birthday celebration that I added onto my reservation when booking online and I was kind of surprised this was not acknowledged whatsoever by host or waitstaff. We visited for lunch on Saturday afternoon and were quickly seated. The restaurant itself is absolutely stunning! Aside from the restaurant being beautiful I feel like they really need to work on the menu and fix some issues and inconsistencies. One thing I did not like is that it's 1 menu for lunch/dinner so if you are looking for something lighter their isn't too many options. I hope in the future they offer a lunch menu and dinner menu. We had a very sweet waitress but she did not seem knowledgeable about the food options on the menu so when we asked questions she really didn't know what to tell us nor did she offer to go ask the chef how the dish was prepared. Another negative is we ordered the same appetizer twice (Short Rib Dumpling) because we enjoyed it so much and the presentation was completely different which was off putting. There should be consistency amongst the dishes. Their Parmesan fries were very basic and by basic I mean they just sprinkled some Parmesan cheese sparsely on them. The portion size on the calamari was very small it was a bowl and only half of it had calamari. Aside from these discrepancies we really did enjoy the dessert we tried (Quesitos) which was almost like a deconstructed guava and cheese pastry and our drink which was the Sunshine Spritz - the drink wasn't overly sweet which I really enjoyed! Overall I did enjoy some of the items we tried but they need to work out some of these issues they having going on.

I didn't go in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic, was happy to get back in 2022...but the place had changed. There were very few beers on tap then, and the whole vibe was off in some hard-to-define way. It seemed dingier, dimmer, sadder. It even had a sort of weird, musty odor. I didn't return until I took a chance last week, right after Christmas--and the good Brass Tap back! The place was lively, well-lit, and while the tap list still isn't the monster from days gone by, it's nothing to sneeze at. (As far as I can tell, they have 30 taps; the Carrollwood location has 60, which is what I dimly remember at this location, too, last decade.) I don't know whether they had a management/ownership change in the interim, but it's a place I want to go back to again now. The Brass Tap doesn't serve food, and the BBQ place right next door that used to be run by the same folks shut down during the pandemic--but they have menus from Grillsmith, one of Wiregrass's other restaurants, there now. Unlike most beer-only bars, they've always had table service, and they've always been attentive. While it's a little too far for me to become a true "regular," it looks like a great place to go to with friends--or, if you're a misanthropic writer like me, to camp out with your laptop and have a couple beers while telling yourself you're working on a soon-to-be-bestselling novel.

We used to be greeted when we walked in, this time the bartender just stood around. Didn't even acknowledge us when we walked in. So we then awkwardly made our way to a table thinking maybe she'll walk over. After watching her walk outside and smoke her vape multiple times (using two vapes at once) - I went up to the bar to get our orders. I made my order and made to deliveries of my order to our table myself. Figured, okay, maybe she doesn't do tables at all. Turns out, she was down to help her friends drinking outside tho. Seemed very uninviting. Lastly, I noticed this place finally had in house food. So we scanned the menu and ordered. There was only one person at the bar and one other table at the brewery. We figured, since it said "Table Number 5" they bring out the food order (like Dade City Brewing). Nope, the guy just yelled across the brewery for me to come over. Which, whatever that's fine. However, I ordered a pizza from the place in the brewery. It was the most unappealing and disgusting pizza I've ever had in my life. It was clearly a low-end store bought frozen pizza that was burnt and hard as a rock. Tasted absolutely disgusting and wasn't even cooked evenly. This was worse than gas station pizza. We only ate one slice and threw the pizza away. Absolutely nasty and such a waste of money. Again, we definitely won't be back. From service, or general professionalism from the bartender to completely awful pizza - the overall experience was 0 out of 10. Sad to see since the brewery used to be great.

There is a single TV at the far left of the bar (see pic), so this is not ideal to watch sports on TV. No sound or closed caption. Outside it is just plain hot this time of year until the sun goes down. They have fans but for some reason they weren't on and the temp was 95. There were a couple people sitting outside but they didn't last long. Around sunset I'm sure this is the place to be. There are multiple sofas and areas to sit outside. Also a large Jenga stacking block game is available to play. There are at least two larger TVs outside. The parking lot indicates parking should be paid for. There are numerous signs with giant QR codes to do this. Since we were only there for an hour to grab a single drink we didn't pay for parking. When there are large tournaments going on at the neighboring sports complex I'm sure the hotel does a better job at patrolling who parks at the hotel and maybe then expects parking to be paid for. Immediately after you pass the entrance, you're greeted with the comforting embrace of the cool A/C that relieves you of the unforgiving Florida temperatures. The area is mostly dark, illuminated by several layers of lighting ranging from the neon lights of the arcade cabinets to the dim warm lights of the chandeliers, creating a welcoming and restful atmosphere. Seating is plentiful and plush, allowing you to get comfortable with ease. Customer service was decent, but one issue is that at times the bar stand is unattended even when not busy and there is no way to alert staff that you're there. However, the staff were polite and courteous. There are several arcade cabinets of different genres, pool tables, and a ping pong table. The entertainment options are vast and varied, making it difficult to find yourself bored during your stay. If I had to suggest one thing, it would be placing some device that allows you to alert staff that you're there, such as a bell. Another suggestion would be to add a smart fridge vending machines that allow you visitors access to non-alcoholic beverages such as water, soda, or juice. This would be especially convenient for visitors like me who're not interested in alcohol and want a quick grab and go beverage. The Dogpound Sports bar fulfills its goals well, providing a comfortable space that serves as a great rest spot and entertainment center and is a great break spot for anyone coming from intense exercise or trying to escape Florida's heat like I was.
