I have been trying to call this facility for several days now with no luck. I have left messages and received no return call. I have called and tried every option that their automated system allows but still never get any person to pick up the phone. I have even tried leaving a message for management. I am trying to make an appointment to donate plasma for the first time. I am at the point of wondering if they are even operating anymore. Pretty bad that the only review left more than one star is from someone who can't even get into the door to give a service review. read more

If I could give a zero star I would. Nothing is more frustrating than sitting in a waiting room for close to a hour waiting on vitals cuz they have the slowest person doing vitals. Once you get in the back everyone is nice and it's take less than 30 minutes. But when "red" is doing vitals get ready because you are gonna be waiting even if you scheduled an appointment and arrived 10 minutes early. Literally any other employee does vitals it takes maybe 2 minutes but lord when she's doing them its 10 minutes a person and she just has to talk to everyone about everything going on today, yesterday and tomorrow. Dont push for people to schedule appointments when they are never followed. For the love of god please stop putting the slowest woman doing vitals by herself. read more

So I was visiting the area last year and I wanted to donate and of course I needed proof of address to do so. I was staying at a hotel and I got mail there to bring in. They told me it was insufficient because it wasn't a house. Ok I understand that. Fast forward to 2021. I officially moved here( 2 weeks ago) and am staying with family. I brought in a piece of mail from - Louisiana Department of Health (Voter registration Packet) clearly states my new home address (which is a house ) and states where all my mail will be sent to. I went in today and I was told I needed a bill or leasing agreement because my proof of address i brought in LAST year wasn't good enough ? I'm confused . What would be more official than a letter from the state of Louisiana ? I am beginning to think either I'm being stereotyped or something else is going on. read more

Cannot recommend this place any less. If possible to give less than one star, I would. While the ladies in the back are pleasant, at times, everybody in management at this location is unprofessional, rude, and should not be dealing with the public. read more

I don't understand if my plasma is so important!! Why do they keep giving less and less composition. I would thank with fewer and fewer people going in, they would up the incentive to get people to come in and donate. Considering it is a life-saving liquid. Even though it is low i still donate to help. Me and my family go donate twice a week, giving them a little spending money, and I front the gas to go. But it is for a good reason. read more

After being told to call the number below and having the corporate office take my complaint, It was followed up with another phone call from the direct location basically saying absolutely nothing. This place is unprofessional, and will absolutely try and gaslight you while swindling you for the donation fees. Don't even bother wasting your time calling the corporate office. They've absolutely lost a donor in me, and I will scream it from the rooftops how much I recommend going anywhere but this place in particular. read more

A pathetic waste of time. I called ahead of time to check the requirements for donating plasma, they informed me that my permanent address needed to match my ID and I needed a social security number. I went in with my boyfriend a few days later and they took our ID and social security cards. They asked us to fill out paperwork. As we were filling out the paperwork, I coughed to clear my throat. I was then informed that I was not allowed to donate plasma for the next 28 days because I coughed... I thought it was ridiculous, but given the coronavirus situation, I understood the precautions. I was going to wait for my boyfriend to finish, when a white woman with short hair came out and promptly informed him that he couldn't donate because he had an out of state ID. this was not something we were told, on the phone or when we first arrived. even after they took our ID, they were not competent enough to tell us that our out of state IDs would not work. (???) it was only until the butch white woman with short hair came out when the requirements suddenly changed. Seems like she was the supervisor/nurse practitioner and nobody else knew what was going on. If only local IDs are allowed, please inform your employees to list that as a requirement BEFORE having people come in and waste time filling out paperwork. Completely unorganized. read more

The saddest form of customer service. I was given an intrusion the previous week from a tech that didn't know what he was doing causing a bruise on my arm. Went back for my second donation and was okay to donate this past weekend. Went this morning and was denied with a major attitude by whomever is in charge of the medical staff this morning. This woman is set to be a leader but has a very bad attitude problem and does not know how to talk to clients. With no reasonable explanation other than the fact that she would have denied me had she worked Saturday when I was approved. A bruise can't measure more than two inches which Saturday mine did not after having 4 nurses measure fast forward two days and now this "supreme leader" denies me and simply blames the fact because SHE wasn't there as to why I was able to donate. Never tried to measure bruise. Well hopefully she will not be there much longer and wont continue to waste the time of patients and deny the experience of what donating plasma is. I give this place 0 STARS. Tired of losing time I will never get back at Griffols. And I'll go as far to say that in six months if y'all still have the same sour employee such as the one I'm referring to in leadership roles yall will be closed especially with Bio Life opening up its doors soon. read more

I do not recommend this place to anyone just about everyone in the back that is in charge of extracting the plasma in maintaining the machines or rude ugly awful attitude like people. It is not in any way shape or form professional. I've seen many times where patients get up out of there chair or bed and they placed another person there and hadn't even been wiped down. You're not allowed to close your eyes while donating, or you will be deferred even if you've given a half of a container of plasma already. And then the next time you go, they will accuse you of being drunk or whatever the case may be in particular in my case I didn't know I couldn't close my eyes when donating, but I did and was deferred. I went back to try to donate again, and they accuse me of being drunk because I was slurring my speech! First of all, I have a speech impediment, and I just got my new retainer. They didn't ask any questions they write out flat out, accuse me of being drunk or high maybe I don't know, but they deferred me after I signed in and waited an hour to go to the back if that was the case they could've told me when I first got there instead of wasting my time. It's gross and I'm glad that they did that to me because I probably would end up catching something from them not keeping the place clean. It was a mistake to go back the second time I don't know what I was thinking. read more

I have been in three times thus far. The last time the person at the desk said we will get with our medical director and get back with you. Called today, you need to be here and we will call the medical director while you are here. They have no regard for your time. I was there at 6 am, because I need to be to work by 8. Very disappointing. I may just drive to Baton Rouge as my daughter has a much more pleasant experience. read more

Holy shit. This is the worst run "medical" facility I've ever been to. Workers are slow and seem not to care much about their jobs. It's kind of sad that they realize desperate people are their clientele and no matter how horrible their service is the donors won't leave. read more

Is Talecris really helping the Lafayette community or just easy prey for donors by employees especially for the Phel. In the back area. Yes we are grown adults and are accountable for our own actions but what about those w special needs are they accountable too. From my experience they have employees try to bullshit you.
