The place was easy to find. The clinic was clean, well lit, detailed with directions and not overly crowded. The nurse was very polite, friendly and down to earth. She did my vitals, verified all my meds etc. and did and EKG. Dr. Moraes and he was friendly, kind and very professional. He was patient, sympathetic to my situation, he listened and most importantly he did not rush my appointment!!!! He really made sure I understood what the goal was and the treatment plan he was putting in place for me. He answered all of my questions and reassured me that we were going to our best to nip this in the bud. I was very pleased with my visit and I would recommend him to family and friends... until my next visit lets see how this heart monitor and DASH diet goes..

The nurses and doctors at LCA would not return phone calls. Their switchboard is over loaded and generally it takes about 15 minutes just to get the operator on the line. The line will drop without warning. Once you get the operator and ask for the nurse, you are place on hold again or get the nurse's voice mail. There is no point in leaving a message because they have not given me the common courtesy of a return call. Since that did not work, I tried their web site and sent several messages. To date, I have received ZERO responses. I do not think anyone checks the messages. For something as serious as cardiology care I cannot understand the absence of timely, professional communication. I would not and cannot suggest anyone use this clinic. The level of professionalism is abysmal. Look elsewhere for your cardiology care.

But, the PA said they would give me a stronger antibiotic. Two or three weeks, I received a bill from LabCorp for a urine culture. I went to the clinic to explain the situation and was directed to call their business office. Three days later, a "medical assistant" telephoned me to say she would look at my chart and get back with me. After 2 1/2 weeks without a return call, I emailed a person in management at this business office. Without a reply for two weeks, I telephoned again and left a message. Yesterday , the medical assistant telephoned me, apologizing for the delay, stating she would visit the clinic and look at my chart. Today, she telephoned me stating there was a note on my chart, indicating a urine specimen was taken and sent to the lab. I am in shock and disbelief that Coastal Urgent Care sent a specimen in my name that I DID NOT give them. Beware, if they did this to me, you could me next.

The practice offers numerous services all of which are explained if inquired about. The spa is great and super relaxing. I've seen Dr Shannon for many years and she is by far one of the best to see for any skin concerns.

Illness: When I am sick I always get an appointment the same or next day. If I call in the morning, I can't remember ever having to wait til the next day. Waiting: The time in the waiting room is very short as is the time once in the room. I see Dr. Leblanc and even with as many patients as they see in a day, I never feel like he is in a rush when he is seeing me. Great "bedside" manner. Now to speak to the two star review: It is an industry standard to charge a patient a new patient fee when they have been gone the three years he said he had been. Many insurance companies use to pay that fee but no longer do. After doing some research, it looks like $100 is a good deal. The lowest I found was $160.00 so that $100 looks pretty good. So to sum up, I would recommend this office for all of your ear, nose, and throat needs.
