The worker tried to issue me a credit and even though the credit slip didn't seem correct to me, she assured me "that's what it's supposed to look like". I checked my credit card and sure enough, no credit. I called the store and while everyone was nice enough, no one can seem to issue me the credit. Apparently only a few workers have the right to issue credits to credit cards, and those folks don't work often! I am a month in, and the store called me to say the credit would be issued this week. Again, I check my statement and guess what...it was another debit!! Now the store owes me twice the amount. Needless to say, not happy. Called again, and of course waiting for that very special one person to come in to process the double credit. If you are in Ridgefiled and can't get to another store to shop for overpriced clothes, then go to Lucy's...but pay in cash as they don't know how to used the credit card machine.

Last week, I purchased a pair of Dolce and Gabbana heels for $100, on sale from $200. Three days later I wore the heels for the first time, to a wedding. After 40 minutes of standing and walking in the shoes, the heel separated entirely from the sole of the shoe. This morning I brought the heels to the shop and asked Zofia, the owner, for either a refund or store credit. I explained how the heels broke. She turned her back to me and strode over to the counter, picked up a sign that said "All sales are final" and held it up to my face for me to read. When I protested that she had sold me a defective product, she launched into a tirade, comparing her store to Neiman Marcus. I understand that Zofia's store policy is to protect her from people who change their mind about a purchase, or who try to return something after they wear it. However, an expensive consignment store should stand behind their merchandise, and should treat their customers with respect, or - at the very least - decency. I write this review not to air a grudge, but to warn future customers that they risk purchasing broken items at this shop, and that any attempt to return those items will be met with derision and scorn.

Small shop in this very charming and small village, love their carefully chosen quality selections…read more The owner is a lovely Polish lady who, if misinterpreted, will come off as being a bit reserved and cold, but we began to exchange some conversations and I found her to be very sweet and informative (it might help that I currently live in an area that has a large Polish population and have come to understand their cultural ways). She is precise with her policy, both as a buyer and seller, and sticks to her guns (I personally like that, know what to expect). I brought in some items and she was thorough in her examination, turning away several items due to stains or because she felt her clientele would not go for it (even though it was a name brand, she explained that her clients were more reserved). I will definitely be going back regularly to check out her merchandise and will recommend friends to go as well.

I went to this location right before Christmas. We were buying items off of the wedding registry to…read moregive as Christmas presents. This is probably where the issues began. We knew exactly which items we wanted so we picked them up and then went to print out the registry. I went to use the registry kiosk closest to the kitchen items. And to my dismay it was out of printer paper. An employee, Phyllis, noticed that we were aggravated and came over. We explained that the kiosk was out of paper. Phyllis was WONDERFUL. Although she did not know how to change the paper she set out to find someone who did. The most infuriating thing is that she went to about 7 employees and NONE of them knew. I wish kohls would train more than just one employee to know basic job duties. In addition, David was also wonderful. We purchased a pot and pan set that was too heavy for my mother or I to carry and he brought it up to the registers for us. I highly suggest the store manager should train ALL employees to know how to simply scan items off the registry. This is not the only kohls were I have experienced that no one knows how to do that. I am not a kohls employee but having to listen to a manager explain it to a customer; I can now walk all the employees through it and that is unacceptable.
