We're not talking generic stuff either, the skirt and one of the tops were calvin kline and i saw a gucci purse there (not my style, but it was in great shape and has a great price). The best part about this place, however, is how the proceeds go to various community projects and scholarships. Quick Rundown: Atmosphere: 5/5 - nice little boutique vibe - reminds me of some of the vintage shops i once frequented when i lived in Los Angeles. The music was a perfect mix of pop/rock from the 80s/90s/00s and wasn't so loud you couldn't think. Staff: 5/5 Super sweet, and very helpful. They offered to get a room ready for me once they saw the number of items i was carrying about (probably thought i had lost my mind - which i suppose i had what with those prices). Parking/Location: 5/5 It's right on College Ave. It has a large parking lot and is easily within walking distance of Elmira College, Jimmy Johns, and the equally fabulous Yeni's ice cream parlor. The Arnot Mall was a discovery on my way home, and was a bit out of my way, but made it worth it…read moreanyway for time's sake. What comes out at you is seeing the interior, clean and all, but filled with empty stores and dark with some of the lighting being off. Usually in those situations, their trying to save money by cutting down on electricity, which is no issue, but as long nobody gets hurt in the dark areas. It was pretty easy to navigate the mall, as I didn't need to look at the map for the most part - only two main hallways which makes it extremely convenient to not get lost. Some businesses I found here caught me by surprise and remained open still such as JCPenney, Ruby Tuesday, Burlington, and FYE. As long as they are still thriving, that's what matters. There were no signs indicating that were closing soon, and most of the inventory looked in great shape. The majority of the other stores seemed to be doing okay on my visit, none of which I saw were closing soon. Depending on each store, some looked busier than others, which didn't come as a surprise for the most part, but the time of the day and year plays a role in it as well. The food court looked okay, with some open and closed as well, and looks good for the most part. It's not the prettiest-looking place that's eye appealing, but is clean and kept up which matters the most. They had decent choices to offer just by looking. The movie theater is still open and running which is great to see. Overall, the mall I believe falls in the dead category. Although some sections of the mall are dead, others are alive and filled with shoppers. It looks like it depends on the area. Even though that is now, that could change in no time.

The owner, Deb, knows nearly all of her customers by name and makes me feel so welcomed every time I walk in the door. Deb offers a great selection of second hand clothes for women from juniors to plus size. The clothes and shoes are used, but you would never know as she only stocks the best. There is such a variety of clothing, you WILL find what you are looking for (and several things you didn't know you wanted). The selection changes constantly, but is never overwhelming. It is just the perfect amount of options to explore. Now, lets talk price. From the $2 rack (yes, you read that right TWO dollars- which is kept well stocked and rotated, AND provides donations to a local animal fostering organization), $5-$10 jewelry, to the $12 shoes, a person can build an entire outfit with less than $20. Do yourself a favor, take $30 and 45 minutes, and treat yourself to a fantastic shopping experience. You will not be disappointed. (And there is a monthly raffle if you spend a certain amount)

Thankfully though, they had a number of sales in various areas, helping to gain a better shopping experience.
