All staffs were professional, courteous and always timely with my requests for maintenance. I only had a few requests throughout my renting experience, and when I did, They made sure that everything was taken care of within 24 hours. This building apprise to be the most fantastic place to live in the valley but is has so many management and tech problems. Elevators are shit down weekly so we have to run to another side of the building to get to our car. Then the garage doors don't work so you have to drive to a level that works tO get out. Smoke alarms go off and the ceilings are 9+ feet. I am 5'10" and could not touch its standing on on the back of the couch. We have only been here 3 months. There is a smoking lounge that is policed by the wonderful security team. However, we have been told to leave when a solo person is reading quietly bc one resident is effected. I haven't had this many curfew restriction since I have as in a college dorm. It's insane and bc you have to sign an iron clad lease we are all stuck here and ready to move when our leases are up. Many amenities but living here is like living in a college dorm. I have teenagers that have more freedom after 10pm. Last note, our first week at the Talaria I put the trash in the hallway for 15-30 min to so I would remember to grab it and throw out while taking kids to school. Someone saw it and took a picture and were fined $50 within one week of moving in bc "we left trash in the hall" and it's not acceptable to our lease or the community. Don't do it. So much money for so may things that break and management isn't local (huge company and most people who work here are remorse and live elsewhere so no help in an emergency. Oh yes. That happened. Update. Now we have kitchen appliances that stopped working. Not surprised. Just annoyed again. The infrastructure is for shit. It's almost 2020. There is no reason the elevators should not work daily (monthly maintenances is totally understandable) The trash chutes are broken/blocked off again for 2+ weeks. There are 3 trash chutes. Only 1 is available to throw trash out. Like the elevators. You have to walk around the block to their trash out and/or get to your car. Not fun when you have the time. Even less fun when you are going to work and/or taking kids to school. read more

We sold our home in November and downsized to a two-bedroom apartment at Talaria and I am so happy we did! The apartment we moved into was brand new - never occupied before us. It is beautifully appointed, with Kohler plumbing fixtures, really nice windows and doors, lovely solar shades, and high-quality Jenn Air appliances. We have only had a couple of small issues since we've moved in (e.g. ice bin was not in place in the freezer so ice was everywhere, master closet light had a faulty sensor and wouldn't turn off) but clearly there were no emergencies and David, the kind maintenance person, came as soon as possible and resolved all issues. We've asked to have the washer and dryer doors reversed to make it less awkward to use and David said that would be no problem. There have been a couple of times that one of the 5 elevators was not working (the same elevator every time), but it hasn't been much of a problem taking one of the 4 working ones. There are also several staircases. I've never seen any trash chute out of order, and really appreciate how clean the trash chute room is kept by the constant oversight of the cleaning people. There seem to be 2-3 people always cleaning something...from the pub to the sky lounge to the large outdoor areas, etc. I love how clean it is here! Regarding worms mentioned in another post, I have noticed some on my patio, too, but they've either gotten better or have been cleaned because I haven't noticed any in the past few weeks. I think it was worse when it was raining, but I really love all the plants and trees and don't mind dealing with worms if that's a byproduct of having such a lush courtyard area. I can sometimes hear the people above me walking, but it sounds like a normal amount of noise. When I lived in my house (built new in 2012) it was a lot noisier there when people walked upstairs than it is here in the apartment. Of course, I would expect more insulation in an apartment building and I'm happy with what feels to be very solid construction with great insulation. As far as kids running around I barely ever hear a noise, and my unit faces one of the two big courtyards. It is a courtyard, however, so if there is a noise it reverberates. That's unavoidable. It's so very quiet here I think I'm a little surprised every time I hear a noise. Hopefully, it'll get more lively with more people moving in and we'll all get used to the action! Since moving here in early December I have really enjoyed all the events that Cameron in the management office has put on including gingerbread house decorating, resident 3-course dinner provided by WholeFoods, and vision board making with wine and refreshments. I also love all the amenities. I reserved the movie theatre (no charge) before Christmas and my son had 15 friends over to watch a movie. It was very, very special! I've only used the hot tub one time so far and it was great....very large and very warm with lots of jets. I do recall getting a notice that it was out of order but then it was fixed again a few days later (it was over holidays so there was probably a small delay getting someone in to repair it). We've used the business center just a few times with no issues. It's nice that there are iMacs there for us to use. The fitness center is also very nice with great treadmills, elliptical trainers, a Peloton bike (haven't tried but want to), and lots of Nautilus machines plus a separate room for spinning classes, yoga, etc. I've met a lot of people here and honestly feel like most are very kind people. I haven't had any negative experiences at all. I'm sure if you look hard enough anywhere you can find something to complain about, but I've just had such a wonderful experience at Talaria so far I can't imagine being unhappy here. I loved living here for a year. The facilities were clean, spacious, and maintained. I appreciated the help I received from Kennedy and Calvin. Both of them were extremely attentive and responsive whenever I had issues or concerns about the property. They made my stay here truly excellent. Unfortunately I am very disappointed living here. It feels like I'm living in a dorm room, my neighbors beneath me play their music loud when they have parties which at least is only in the evenings but my upstairs neighbors are so incredibly loud constantly. I'm not sure if they are working out or dancing or what exactly but my walls are constantly shaking, my pictures fall off of the walls from it & I can't stand being home because of how loud it is all the time & with rent at 3,400$ for a one bedroom not being able to be at peace in your own home is ridiculous. I've asked management & the courtesy patrol several times to please ask my neighbors to keep it down but nothing helps. When I was touring the building I specifically asked if it was a quiet community because I have a head injury which causes me to get migraines very easily when it's too loud. I was assured that the building is very quiet with respectful neighbors & now I feel like I was misled. The office staff is nice & I enjoy all the amenities but sadly it's not worth it when being in my apartment is so miserable. read more

Apartments are extremely expensive when residents are forced to continually smell stinky skunky marijuana odor. It's disgusting! Hot water takes a very long time to heat up, & elevators become inop for days at a time. I would NOT recommend this location for these three reasons! read more

My daughter has lived at Talaria for almost 1 year. She loves Talaria because of the location, amenities, apartment layout and friendly staff but thought she would look at other apartments when it was time to renew her lease. After touring approximately 20 apartments throughout all of Los Angeles and surrounding counties she has decided to stay at Talaria. She never came close to finding in other apartment communities collectively what she liked about Talaria. From the beginning, we feel that we have had a first class experience with Talaria's leasing and office staff and security. Two of our adult friends that have visited us at Talaria and that toured other apartments with us said the same and encouraged my daughter to stay at Talaria. Mana, our leasing agent, continually goes out of her way to be helpful to tenants. Mana and the other office staff and security that I know are very friendly, professional and want you to feel like you are a part of the Talaria community. LaJoya in security knows everyone, always extends a kind greeting and goes out of her way to be helpful. My daughter is looking forward to another year at Talaria. read more

WOW - what a stunning brand new apartment complex. Actually I could almost say "home" complex, because these units really do feel like your own home. We moved here Feb 12th, and I am so thankful that we did. Being here feels like you are living in Disneyland because there is just so much to see and do. Talaria Burbank is a world in its own. The pool, the courtyards, gardens, state-of-the-art brand new gym, filming movie theater, perfect security. I am just so proud to say that we live here. Oh - and we are right on top of the new WholeFoods which is so perfect. We have a one bedroom and it has Jen-Air appliances (the best), its own washer and dryer, lots and lots of natural light, huge closets, lots of storage. I highly recommend Talaria Burbank. Take a free tour - you will be amazed. Ask for Mona. She is the best, at least she went way out of her way for us. read more

Beautiful apartments, with more square footage than some houses. So much natural light and very modern. The management on site is friendly and handle any needs very quickly. The maintenance team on site is also fantastic; very accessible, great communication, and handle any needs quickly and properly. We also love the shared spaces - beautiful pool area, plenty of tables, and comfy seating to enjoy with family and friends. Plus, the bonus of having a Whole Foods right there. Don't live there. Was over/underwhelmed. It's huge which was a red herring. I'm a native New Yorker who grew up in high risers. Translation: an elevator is always out, hot water heater out. Depends on which building you're in. Whoever built this had greed on their mind. Coming home from work, exhausted, with groceries, not from Whole Foods, and having to schlep that parking lot. When I'm told there are courtesy carts. Red flag. When a lovely person sells me on a movie theatre, private movie screenings , and just wow, I'm more suspicious. Where am I going to sleep? Getting off the elevator? I gagged from the smell of weed. She claimed not to smell. The apartment, for the price , was absurd. Clearly cookie cutter. Assembled outside and slid into the structure. Thin walls. I clearly heard msnbc below and General Hospital next door. I can't complain about street noise . Look where you moved to. For the money, you can find amenities aplenty and not hike Runyon Canyon to your car. read more

I am in corporate housing. The service at Talaria was excellent, always available to answer questions and the staff are incredibly accommodating and knowledgeable. The facilities are kept clean and tidy. The gym has various equipments and are regularly cleaned as well. The theater can be booked in advanced and it has a great variety of movies to watch-streaming on Netflix, Hulu, HBO, etc-it is a great place for a private date night. The building is quiet and safe. SINKING SHIP. Either Talaria's low-occupancy rate and inability to attract renters has caused ownership to cut back on services or the owners have no idea how to run an apartment building. It's been 24 hours and counting since my A/C stopped working and the temperature in my apt. has been between 85 and 90 degrees. I called all the numbers I was given for on-call maintenance, emergency maintenance and courtesy patrol several times and received the same message, "the person can't be reached". The person at the front desk contacted someone named Dave who told her to tell me that they wouldn't send someone to help me until the temperature reached 90 degrees in my apartment. I asked to speak to Dave (she doesn't know his last name) and also gave her my number to have him call me. Neither happened. About 2 hours later, the temperature in my apartment reached 90 degrees. Once again, I called the front desk, reported that the temperature had reached 90 degrees and asked if maintenance would be sent now. As I write this review, I still haven't spoken to anyone from maintenance or been contacted in any way by anyone regarding my A/C. About a half-hour ago, I was able to reach the assistant manager and begged for help. She had no idea I had no air conditioning nor why the maintenance numbers and courtesy patrol number did not reach anyone. Still waiting to hear from her... someone... anyone. Even the most basic apartment buildings, let alone a structure the size of Talaria has some way to contact maintenance 24/7, especially regarding an emergency. I regret moving from AVA Burbank, which does have a 24/7 maintenance staff that answers the phone. I often rely on yelp which has never steered me wrong. At the time I moved into Talaria, there were no reviews, although I did know Talaria had only a 30% occupancy rate, I thought it was because of the high rent. So, even though this review will discourage renters from renting from Talaria, and thus, cause even more cutbacks to the services I receive, I felt it only right to say something. I'm 56 yrs old and just can't handle heat like this. UPDATE: Just received a phone call from "Dave". Apparently, A/C units are not working throughout the building and he's the only one working today. They have a maintenance staff of ONE knowing there is a widespread problem with the A/Cs! Unbelievable. Calling this a luxury apartment building is false advertising. It's not even acceptable. read more

My husband and I have resided at the Talaria since August 2019. The building is perfectly located for those working at the studios in the area and is conveniently above the flagship Whole Foods, with Trader Joe's, Target and Walmart less than 10 mins away. The property also offers great amenities including a 24/7 fitness center with a spin room and one Peloton bike (Hoping all spin bikes are replaced with Peloton bikes soon). There are also additional common areas throughout the building such as a Pub, a movie theater, a pool and lounge. We appreciate the regularly scheduled Resident experiences such as paint & sips, picnics and holiday function events. The resident experience manager (Cameron), our leasing agent (Irene), front desk coordinator (Kennedy) and security (LaJoya) have always been extremely helpful, upbeat and pleasant. The building is now under new management and new maintenance teams and this change has improved the resident experience even more. read more

We have now lived at Talaria for 2-1/2 months and this is something I wish someone would have told me...rent a unit on the 5th floor! The 5th floor is a bit more expensive but it would be worth it to not hear every footstep of the people above us! We have been very disappointed with the sound proofing between floors, in their defense they did a great job with the windows and patio doors, when they are closed you hardly hear anything from outside, but we have a very petite young lady living above us and yet it sounds like a solider marching over our heads! Thankfully the bedrooms are carpeted so it's a bit quieter in there. We have actually considered moving to the fifth floor due to this issue, but that's a huge undertaking (moving is #2 on the stress meter) and then we would have to tiptoe around in order not to bother the tenants beneath us! read more
