I'm not sure which store delivered the flowers--most likely the North Shore location. It was quite a large bouquet, and I'm sure the person who ordered it paid a significant amount of money. From the outside, it looked fine, but when I unpacked it to arrange it in a nicer vase, I found that many of the flowers were already half dead. Very disappointing. read more

I utilized Mr Hassan's expertise for my fathers funeral, and I have to say that Talas' florists are kind, personable and patient, despite me and my families varied wishes and indecision. I absolutely would order from Tala again, no matter the occasion (birthdays, anniversaries, Easter, Christmas, whatever!). Thank you! read more

Unfortunately I haven't been able to visit the store in person, since I wasn't feeling well.. and although I was a little hesitant to place an order over the phone, I had seen bouquets done by this florist before and had a feeling I could trust their choices and floral arrangements - I'm glad I did, because I was right! Tala Florist did a spectacular job on a bouquet that I ordered for my friend's birthday. I was speechless when I saw the photo that my friend sent me - I truly feel they outdid themselves and went above and beyond. I'm so thankful that I found my go-to florist, and a place that I can really trust. Definitely exceeded my expectations! read more

I came here on the spur of the moment to get a bouquet for a grad. It was my first time here. Outside there are only potted plants for sale but once you step inside they offer a good assortment of flowers. You choose what you want in the bouquet. Prices were based on the price per stem depending on the flower. It's reasonably priced. I choose an assortment of peonies and roses. It was a hot day so they wrapped the bottom in a plastic bag filled with water and sprayed a mist of water on the flowers to keep them fresh. The friendly staff were helpful and accommodating. They did an excellent job putting it all together. They are conveniently located just beside London Drugs on Kingsway off Nelson. They are even open on Sundays which is good to know! The graduate loved the flowers which were her favourite! Thanks Tala! read more

Their bouquets are spectacular and always beyond my expectations. My husband and I worked with Hassan and Tina for our wedding and everything came out beautiful! We got floral arrangements for the ceremony, centrepieces, bouquets and boutonnieres. Hassan was so easy to work with and answered all of my last minute emails and phone calls. I look forward to working with Tala florist for future events! read more

I'm never those type who will pick out the pre-made bouquet at a florist. I went to Tala Florist today and requested to make a bouquet with the colours I want. The girl asked me how much I'm planning to spend and Michele made the most beautiful, elegant bouquet for me within 20 minutes. If you live around the Metrotown area, I suggest you should check this place out. read more

I bought a bouquet of flowers for someone who I care about, and she liked it a lot. I was impressed by the freshness of the flowers, the arrangement and the colours. Also, I was impressed that the additional attention of care when they added a white calla lily flower to make sure that it looked right and they sprayed the flowers with some mist of water -- it was a hot and sunny day. I liked how they added a purple mesh wrap for the flowers to make it really stand out without taking too much attention from the flowers. Unfortunately, the staff forgot to put a packet of flower food in the wrap -- a complaint from the receiver -- so I can't rate it five stars. read more

Tala Florist - Birthday flower arrangement - Florists Near Me - Burnaby, British Columbia

Tala Florist is amazing, I'm so happy they opened another shop in North Vancouver (larger and less busy)! My husband and I saw them 4-5 times prior to our wedding as we kept changing our minds on what we wanted our wedding arrangements to be like. Tina and Hassan are busy busy people - they're featured in Wedluxe in basically every issue for goodness' sakes but they STILL made SO MUCH TIME for us! We were more than annoying because we wanted to meet over and over again but Tina always made the time for us. Initially I wasn't sure if my vision was communicated properly to them but when Tina made us a sample a week before the wedding, my heart skipped a beat. She recommended to use some green hydrangea and we were really hesitant on that, but when she put it together, wow - it was stunning - so trust them, trust their judgment in carrying out your wedding vision as they know their stuff! Tina and Hassan KNOW flowers and if you show them photos of your vision and budget, they'll make it happen but they may switch out some flowers or make the arrangement smaller but they will be creative and make it happen. For our wedding, they beautifully decorated our ceremony altar at Hycroft Manor (we reused these arrangements at our sweetheart table at the reception) and they also provided the flowers we used in our DIY cocktail tables. Our guests loved the centerpieces they created for us and were raving about the quality of the flowers (hydrangeas that last for 4-5 days? Unheard of!). I see us being lifelong customers, they're amazing and we are so happy they fit us into their busy wedding schedule. Thank you Tina and Hassan! read more

I used their website (topbcflorist.com), chose the "Florist Designed Bouquet" option and everything worked out perfectly. The flowers were very beautiful, delivered on time and the person who received the flowers was very happy. I can only highly recommend Tala Florist! read more

Terrible customer service. I placed an order personally in the store a week in advance for a wedding. I go the morning of to pick up at 10am (when they "open") and no one is at the store. 20 mins later, an employee comes casually and opens shop. I'm horrified to hear no one has my wedding flowers ready. I receive NO apology. There is zero sense of urgency in helping me. Instead, he's calling his manager so that I can hear all over again that they didn't prepare my order. My confirmation paper is right there, so why am I not being given a reason? 40 mins of my time was wasted. Would definitely not recommend anyone going here. read more

I walked in to buy a flower bouquet for my Dr. I originally wanted to buy one from Save on Foods but the person works there was on a break so i drove to this florist and purchased a bouquet. I told them that i am looking for $20-30 bouquet. (which is reasonable enough to pay for a decent sized bouquet i believe). lady who was working there gave me a dirty look... i really didn't like that... :( over all i got decent looking bouquet so not much more to complain about but... since i have a wedding coming up for myself and my sister's... i am always open to talk to new florists these days but definitley i won't recommend here. service is totally guaranteed by the way how they served me today. Not recommend at all. I am not kinda person who writes reviews but yes i really wanted to let everyone know how this place is like so i ended up signing up to leave this review. that bad their service was. read more

Most unreliable vendor ever. I don't want to go into details because I don't feel they are worth the time, just my advice is stay away if you are looking for decent customer service. The owner left us stranded on the day of our event having disappeared off the face of the planet and not answering calls. I guess since we were using Granville Island Florist for all of our arrangements and just wanted Tala Florist to decorate the car, he didn't think it was worth his time- just not clear why he wasn't straight with us to begin with. read more

I booked Tala Florist for my wedding (which is happening next week!) about 7 months prior to the big day. I recently had my last meeting with them to see my sample centerpiece. Their work is stunning. I almost started crying when I saw the "rough" version of my centerpiece. But above that, the amount of care, and customer service they provided is unbeatable. Hassan and Tina spent almost 2.5hrs with me (after my original consult which was I think 3hrs long) to make sure they understood what I wanted and that I was happy. I felt like such a valued customer and I truly felt that they both cared about my wedding like a family member would. Hassan provided so much valuable insight and has incredible artistic vision. You just have to let him do his thing - he will deliver an amazing product!! With so much stress a week before the wedding, I walked away from this appointment feeling relieved and so happy. I know he will deliver exactly what I have asked for. Hassan and Tina are both extremely generous people and I can't wait to see the final product on the big day. I would highly recommend them to any bride or any passerby looking for flowers. read more

WOW I mean I can probably write this over a hundred times. If you want to have smooth worry free function, particularly a wedding don't waste your time with any one else. Hassan makes everything so easy he's soooo truth worthy and he will work with you and work with your budget. NO JOKE I've heard from 5 different parties that he actually gives you more flowers than you pay for. Just recently we had our wedding and this gentleman made our medium budget look like a million dollar function. He's super familiar with all the venues specially the downtown hotels. We didn't even have to explain much to him in regards to what Colours look best at our venue which was the Sutton Place. I highly highly recommend him. read more

After seeing the amazing job they did with my sister-in-law's wedding, I used them for my wedding. They once again did an amazing job. Since then I use them for all my flower needs. Not only are they friendly but they consistently create beautiful arrangements. Highly recommend them. read more

This place is, in a word, outstanding. I have been buying flowers from Tala for years and they have yet to disappoint. Their roses in particular are gorgeous, fat, and wrapped with a touch of opulence. I live downtown now, but if I'm looking to seriously impress and personally deliver, I will make the trip out to Burnaby. In a pinch, I have also used their mobile service which is very reasonable. Whether you're looking for a Valentine's-Day-esque reaction from your sweetheart or just out to brighten someone's day, this is the place that will get it done with a great deal of value. read more

Have dealt with them for years now. The owners are amazing and have yet to be disappointed with any of my flower arrangements.

STAY AWAY from him! This man can talk for an hour and lie about himself! He claims he had 300 weddings every year . yet my friend called 1 week before her wedding on July he was completely free!!! He seems nice & friendly and promise you anything you like to hear. I was a maid of honor this summer. He PROMISED to use orchid for everything yet don't go over budget . Well, centrepieces ended up being white roses! also, my friend got a giant bill afterward! to give you an example , he was supposed to design a bouquet of white orchids for her for$200. In the end she got charged over $400 for it! read more

This man is a liar and a scammer! If you don't believe me read the blocked review. They are blocked because HE reported them. I got married last July and unfortunately we used Tala. He told us he will give us a huge discount of we book flower and decor together. I kept asking the final price and he kept saying " don't worry , you won't go over budget". At the wedding day I got my bouquet DURING the ceremony !!!! Yes I entered the alter with no bouquet in my hand. Later I found out because he booked 2 other weddings that day so he was busy. The table clothes were all wrinkly and had STAIN on them. The worst part was he quote us one thing and charged us something else. We paid over 3 times our budget for a very very crappy job. Please stay away from this disgusting man. read more

Phenomenal florist. They do several weddings per weekend and they were able to squeeze us in. I have known them to rush between several weddings in one day - only possible as they are very very organized. Their staff is friendly and helpful. The owner, Hassan, promised he would 'put his heart into our wedding' and he totally delivered. I am not one to be impressed easily by flowers but I was SO impressed and all our guests were as well. They did our wedding on November 26th, 2011 and everyone who saw the floral work was just stunned at how beautiful everything was. My parents couldn't believe how elegant and tasteful it all looked. They are a premier florist so their work is NOT cheap, yet they worked within our tight budget and made our wedding completely unforgettable. From the ceremony at our church, to the ballroom at the Marriott, and our bridal entourage pieces - he took our breath away with the designs and everything down to the smallest boutonniere was made with so much care. He was also the most fun wedding vendor to work with due to his charm, talent, and knowledge. I live in Richmond and Tala is in Burnaby, but I would not go anywhere else, and I would highly, highly recommend. Yes, he really does do about 300 weddings a year, and each time I came by to see him he had regulars popping in and out to pick up something and chat for awhile. It is obvious his clientele is very loyal. I cannot thank Tala Florist enough for making our Big Day so beautiful. I am so glad I spent the extra money because they are absolutely top-notch! Because they are so busy, my advice is be very organized when you go to see him, make sure you bring photos of your ideas, ensure you confirm with him, and you won't be disappointed. read more

Tala florist did an extraordinary job for my wedding in 2015 and for a great price as well. Every arrangement looked amazing, they were punctual, and easy to communicate with. Always the best. I started using Tala florist as one of our corporate suppliers about 7 years ago, having them provide flowers for our office and as client appreciation. They are now the only florist I use and have always been thrilled with the results. On my 50th birthday family, friends and co-workers all ordered flowers to surprise me. Tala created 3 distinctly different and all equally beautiful arrangements that only add to my special day. read more
