I had a pair of pants hemmed and coat sleeves taken up. To my surprise she stitched both garments in a way that had a stitching near the end of the pants and the sleeves of the coat. In other words, the end result looked like an alternation on a hem you see on jeans. It was not altered in a way that you could not see the stitching by doing a blind alternation so the sticking would not show. My coat was quite expensive and due to how it was altered it does not reflect the quality. All other times I had garments altered with different professionals, they always hid the stitching. Therefore, I was expecting the same with Shiraz. I won't go back. I have been using Jolanta Kaczmarczyk's Needle and Thread located at 315 N State Street in Clarks Summit, PA. 570-877-1191. The new owners are not cleaning the clothes on the premises. When I went to pick up my shirts on the day they were due and they could not locate them as I waited for 45 minutes. The person who was at the counter is part of the new ownership and is totally incompetent. She finally called someone to find out the tags or slips are falling off and would be there the next day. When I went there the next day, they were still not ready. She said they may arrive the next day after 2:00pm. I asked them for a discount of any amount just for my inconvenience. The person at the counter called her manager and I spoke to her on the phone and after I explained my situation she said no discount. I asked her if she still wants my business. She said NO. Thank God it was a small order. The total for the two shirts was just 6.50. All I wanted was something to tell me they respected and appreciated my business with them. Even a dollar or two. Now I will never go back and will tell everyone I know this story. No Business Acumen and another example of a new owner coming in a screwing up a business that had been around 70 or 80 years.

From the outside it appears that nothing exists. But when you enter, there is a so called business in operation. The outside windows are filthy and looks like it has never been cleaned and maintained for decades and has very old magazine cut outs of Levi's jeans. When you enter you have to go at least half way into the store to see very very little merchandise. I would say only about 10 pairs of Levi's scattered around and some military shorts, sacks, flight jackets. As soon as you enter there is extremely strong mold odor all about and the ceilings are terribly cracked like it will fall. There is a lot of empty shelves and about old 3 hand written signs with prices that don't reflect the actual price of the item when you ask for it. Prices are outrageous and nothing has a price tag on it. DO NOT ENTER the other door. There is a giant hole in the wall. The size to fit humans. I swear, we felt very uneasy in there and it really appeared to be a FRONT for something else really going on behind the scenes. Very strange and uncomfortable and creepy. Something not right about this place and the very strange old sales guy. DO NOT GO IN. Way cheaper and better quality elsewhere. Safety of your life first. This place should be demolished.
