We went in for a basic oil change, they changed our air filter, and topped off our fluids. Next day our check engine light was on and a week or so later, all off our lights on the dash were on. We never had a problem with our car until we went there, never again. read more

I went to the new Take 5 on Argyle. They were nice, facility clean (new), but their prices are $20 - $40 dollars more than some of the other places I have been. He claimed his "premium" oil was all synthetic, but had 2 other oil choices that were labeled as synthetic, which this one wasn't. I have no idea if it is or isn't. They did offer me a free bottle of cold water when I drove up, though. read more

Edit: I went back up there Friday and they had the part and installed it. I'm still not happy it took so long with zero communication but at least it's done. I have come to this location a handful of times and it's always been great until it wasn't. I hope the owner is reading this because your employees didn't install my skid plate correctly and I got a mile up the road and noticed a horrible sound which was the skid plate hitting the road. I went back and was told it was broken and they'd order another one and install it the following week. That was on September 5th 2023 which was almost a month ago. I have sent emails and been back only to be told they'd call and never did. I will be back tomorrow for one more shot then I'll take my recorded videos of the first trip where fault was admitted and I'll turn it over to the attorney to deal with. Disabled Female Veteran disappointed. Quality of service poor. Came in for oil change and they are supposed to check your fluids. Everything they were supposed to check was empty. My vehicle oil is also supposed to be changed every 6 months or 5,000 miles. The sticker they gave me has me coming in at 3 months and 3,000 miles. They claim it's the top off policy, but the sticker says oil change reminder. I went back 6 miles later and showed them that all of my fluids were empty. The excuse was that they had new employees and they didn't know what they were doing. I told the guy well if you're the manager and I saw you yesterday and you know they don't know what they're doing. Maybe you should check their work before the vehicle leaves. We have been regular customers for personal and business purposes for several years. One of our employees brought a box truck there to gave the oil changed and it was giving him trouble starting. Our employee notified the 5 Minute associate that we will be having the truck towed to a mechanic today. When the tow truck that we called arrived, the truck was no where to be found. The 5 Minute associate named Alex called another towing company to have the box truck towed the same day. We did not receive a courtesy phone call even though the had all our contact information. This business will no longer receive any of our business or referrals. read more

My wife was a little past due for an oil change and I had her car for a short time. I decided to go ahead and knock it out so she wouldn't have to later. I just happened to be passing take 5 and decided to give them a shot. The price was reasonable and the technician working on her car (Zach) was well spoken, polite, and overall very positive. I was in and out in about 10 minutes (considering there was a car in front of me, I'd say the take 5 thing is pretty accurate. He even advised that my wife's make and model of car tends to burn oil a little bit and if we need the oil topped off in the next 3k miles to just stop in and they would take care of it at no charge. There was no pressure to upsell me and the prices were clearly listed. read more

Alex and Tirer are great workers! They made us feel comfortable & they work really quick and efficient. Fastest oil change we've gotten in years. They said they were understaffed and to be patient but there's no worries, they're kicking butt! Tirer made sure to ask if we had any coupons which is awesome! Leaving after the oil change and my car immediately started to lose power. Turned around and went back. Seems they didn't place the air filter correctly. Left and next day, on my way home from work, same thing happened. Took it back and they said there was nothing wrong that they did and that it was just a coincidence that the power issue happened at that time but that it wasn't them. Took it to my mechanic the next day and guess what? Take 5 hadn't put everything back together securely so it vibrated apart while driving home. Why couldn't Take 5 determine that? Shouldn't they have looked at everything that they touched since they knew there was an issue? My mechanic CORRECTLY put everything back and no issues. I tried to call Take 5 to speak with the manager but the number for their location goes to a corporate call center. I explained what happed and asked for a manager or owner to call me back but again, guess what? No call. If they can't even tell when they haven't reassembled everything back correctly and can't be bothered with returning a call, I'll find another place to take my business. You've lost a customer that has been going to that location since it first opened. read more

It would be helpful if you would change the oil on a Subaru without the manager being present. I've had more than one store have this issue and I never seem to get there when the manager is there. Specifically, orange park on Blanding and 103rd St. What kind of a policy is it that you can't change a certain car unless the manager is there? it's not very complicated. It sounds like maybe one time somebody accidentally drop the transmission fluid so you made a policy that affected every Subaru owner? I don't get it. I would love this place if I could get my own oil change there and didn't have to call ahead. read more

came for an oil change & wipers. after 10 minutes of waiting i was very rudely greeted with an attitude as i didn't immediately see the staff member motioning me to come forward as i was looking down for the card i dropped. so sorry that for the whole time i was waiting i looked down momentarily causing so much of an inconvenience it's necessary to roll your eyes & shake your head. My husband and I have been going to Take 5 in VA for YEARS due to their competitive prices, military discount and customer service. We recently moved to Florida and needed our oil changed so we tried this location near our home. The employees here were incredibly unprofessional. They continuously made comments about how bad the oil in my husbands car was and took forever to address us when we initially pulled up. Yes, we know the oil is bad...that's why we're here!! I will NOT return to this location and they're lucky if I use Take 5 at all in the future. read more

I visited the 804 Blanding Blvd location today and was so happy to see Zach was still employed there. The last time I visited this location a very rude man named Alex kind of set the tone for the visit but luckily Zach turned it around for me. Today, I arrived and was met by the same rude attitude by Alex and again Zach was there and waited on me. Ppl like Alex will turn customers away but ppl like Zach will keep them coming back. I was skeptical after reading the reviews but I had to take the chance due to lack of time. To give an idea of how they operate ... you stay in the car while they change the oil ... Drove up, was given a bottle of water while I waited for the car in front of me. When it was my turn, they guided me in and scanned my car to ensure the correct oil/filter was used. Once they had that info, the guys went right to work. It was a quick in and out. They also have a good military discount for active duty and vets. I would have spent the same amount for a full synthetic change as anywhere else before the discount. I figured they deserved a positive review because I'm sure plenty have left satisfied without leaving one. Thanks guys! Highly recommend! This was the fastest and easiest oil change I've ever received. No appointment needed, I just showed up without even calling. They come to your window, I never had to take a step out of my vehicle, direct you in the bay, ask a few question, and then they're done in literally 5-10 minutes. The staff was incredibly friendly. I pulled up and was given a bottle of water. I was met by a very friendly staff. I came expecting the guy to oversell me on anything that was needed for my truck. He kept it friendly and didn't do any of that. He showed me my air filter and said it was still very clean and didn't need a new one. They showed me my oil so I would know it's not dirty. The prices are posted so they won't try to rip you off. I was there for a out 5 min and didn't even have to get out of my car. Everything is done from the inside while they take care of your car down below. I would very highly recommend. They also changed my wiper blades and gave me a $10 discount. read more

Pulled in and the "Manager" asked what service I wanted, Told him oil change with synthetic blend oil which is recommended by Ford. First thing the tech did was start to remove my air filter. I stopped him telling him I only wanted an oil change and by the way I have a K&N air filter which you don't replace but rather clean. He looked at me like I was speaking Russian. They ended up using the most expensive synthetic oil they had for vehicles with 75,000 plus mileage (mine has 47,000) ' oh sorry I misunderstood'. When I got home oil was dripping on my driveway, they had spilled oil all over the frame and didn't wipe it off. To add insult to injury they gave me a sticker as a reminder to change my oil in 3,000 miles! Synthetic oil should last 10,000 miles or more. read more

I've been going to Take 5 since moving to Jacksonville. Up until now I've had no complaints. Today had my oil changed, they service men were quick and efficient as always. On leaving the location had a loud thumping like a flat tire. I pulled over checked, no flat. Turned around and went back to the Take 5, once again the service guy was helpful and found a screw embedded in the tire, on checking with the manager (Todd) he was told "We're not liable, that's the end of it.". This is not about being liable, it's about treating a repeat customer like a human being. It's something as simple as "Hey, we'll help you get a patch so you can make it safely to repair the tire" , it's not washing you hands of a issue and putting someone on the road who is hoping to be able to make safely to get a tire replaced. Not asking for anything, but if you want repeat business treat your customers better. I will not be returning while that manager is running it. read more

Not only did I spend $90 like I always do but they didn't top off all of my fluids or reset my oil light until I asked for help with it. Usually this is a normal thing they just do. I normally change my own oil because I've seen too many of these places on "exposed" news specials and it seems my judgement was spot on. I live in Mandeville, LA where "Take 5" originated and I was in town visiting family over the holidays and was due an oil change. I drive a 2017 Ram 1500 and when I pulled in, I told them I wanted a full synthetic and if they needed to know the weight and type just to ask. They told me no problem and they already had the info. They finished, and I got back to my in-laws house where I reviewed my receipt and saw they put the wrong oil type in after I informed them I knew the right type if they just wanted me to tell them. When I called back and asked what they were thinking, they said they didn't think it was a big deal because the weight they put in would do fine since it didn't get cold real often in Jacksonville. They offered to replace the oil with the correct weight if I came back but I wouldn't let them touch my truck again after their negligence. #1 - It would appear they don't understand how warranty claims work with vehicles if the wrong fluids are used on power train systems should something go wrong. It would give the dealer the ammunition needed to void any claim I have. #2 - I don't live in Jacksonville and this year, one of the coldest in south Louisiana history saw us reach single digits with snow fall several times. Any company that would willfully use the wrong fluids on your vehicle then try to justify it afterwards is a company that will never receive my service again. Seems I'll continue to change my own oil even if I need to knock it out myself in a parking lot to avoid any future experiences like this. read more
