It's no longer as fast as it used to be. The employees are always nice but always different. Today I had a small wait before they were able to get to me, maybe 5-10 mins but the whole process ran probably ran 40 mins. Also, rarely do they reset my oil change button. Needed registration and oil change- both services were delivered promptly and ideally. I was debating whether to wait until next week to change the oil due to the amount of customers, but I asked a kind gentleman in the shop about it who said that he would handle it along with the inspection. $85 dollars (including a free carwash) and 20 minutes later, I drove home pleased. Got my oil changed by Martez and William today, and it couldn't have gone smoother! While you can change your oil for around $20-$30 cheaper, you go to Take 5 for the convenience and expertise, which is exactly what I got. Both of them were very polite and knowledgeable, and the whole ordeal took around 15-ish minutes to get my oil changed and back on the road. They didn't try to jam a bunch of upsell nonsense in my face; they were to the point and made the usually cruddy experience of getting your oil changed a breeze. Your service sucks at this location. Waited forever with about five cars. Finally left. I will never ever come to this location again.

I have come here 3 times now both the first times leaving and going else where because it takes them an hour to do the two cars in the garage before even acknowledging you exist. Once you get into the garage they then don't acknowledge you at all and actually leave your bay to go help the other person because she can't effectively do her job. So it takes them another going on 19 minutes and counting as I'm in the garage writing this review... I will never be back to this location, 21 minutes in the bay and I finally popped my hood. Take 5 oil change, to get a decent experience? As long as you are a regular customer and they know your exact oil change, expect 20 minutes once they start actually working on your car. read more

I waited for 20 minutes before I saw them even lift the hood on the Kia Sorrento ahead of me. The only thing it looked like they were doing was a cabin air filter change and oil change. They were not doing an inspection. People who came in AFTER me pulled into bays before me. WTF? I backed out and left. Nobody came out and explained why the Kia was taking so long, nobody directed me to another bay. I got a bottle of water, and that was it. I won't go back. read more

This location used to be very good until today. I just needed an inspection so I was told to park at another bay. Where's the 5 minutes? We were parked there for 30 minutes and the two cars in the bay haven't left. The car behind me left, so I was able to leave. There are several places that deserve my business so I'll drive to a competitor. Ignore the checked value and quality bc 5-minute or over 30 minutes is neither. read more

Went in for an inspection and there was a flap that was hanging down underneath the car. Seemed like it was something that could've taken a screw to fix maybe. Asked a simple question of if they could look at it to see if something was loose or missing, and was told "that's not my problem". This is something that a simple "sorry no, we can't do that" would've been completely fine but to be spoken to like that was completely unacceptable. Do not go to Take 5 if you have a 2023 year model vehicle. I have a Chevy Tahoe and was told that their system would not give them the information to know the number of quarts or the oil filter that I needed for a Chevy Tahoe. Crazy. read more

When this place first opened I gave them a try and it was good. I went today to get our second vehicle done. One of the guys decides that he is going to scream at me since I was not moving at the pace he wanted me to go. I don't like getting yelled at and I certainly don't like getting yelled out with a guy with no mask on. It's 2020 and we are in a pandemic. A responsible business would make employees wear masks. This place has forever lost my business. I drove all the way to the one in Sachse and it was a complete 180 positive experience. Will review them too. read more

Had to wait 15 minutes, even though there was no one in the bay getting service done. Then when I went to check out they told me the cost was $120....for an oil change? Are you kidding me! I've been there several times and they gave us a firefighter discount before but today they said they do not honor the first responders anymore....awful!!! read more

I went to the take 5 in Murphy Texas. They were professional and friendly enough but the up selling was ridiculous. They would pull out every filter in my car and show me how dirty it was and how I really needed to replace it. When I said I didn't need to they suddenly dropped the price. 0 stars for the fact they didn't even do the work I paid for. I went to get an oil change as I was heading out of town same day. Bought their premium oil change but my oil change light remained on. When I check later it was not even changed. The guy also asked if I wanted them to top off my fluids. He literally acted like he was filling them up but they are all still low. Very uniformed/professional service! I've never used a Take 5 Oil Change before, and this specific location exceeded my expectations and changed my oil change experience. They politely greeted me in a timely manner, and guided me in/out the bay. They walked me through the process and the price options and told me about their warranties/perks that come with the oil change. I also received their free car wash coupon. I replaced my windshield wipers, which also comes with a 6mo. warranty. They worked as a team. They all knew their roles and practiced clear communication within each other. They also educated me on how to properly gauge my oil. If these guys are forever trained this way or keep the same employees, I will be back! read more

I have been to this location twice now and BOTH times, I left and had to return because my cover was not replaced properly. I only went back because it was discounted due to their mistake and I felt like giving them a second chance. I will never return here. Happening once, it shouldn't have, but okay...but TWICE IN A ROW?? Absolutely absurd! There is not proper care taken and the workers have been careless. I don't work or live in the area and has been a huge inconvenience. The second time it happened, I reported it to them and had it "fixed," only to later find out the cover was STILL not properly replaced. I tried to get Nolan to look at it after the third time, he said he would be in and I drove over there and for whatever reason he was not there yet. I later called twice before trying to drive up there because gas is expensive and no one answered. I am extremely disappointed and I do not recommend. They don't even take the time to make sure something as simple as a cover is properly drilled back on correctly! Smh read more

I came in today to get my oil changed. I drive a 2018 Infiniti QX60. First, they were not nice, welcoming or even somewhat nice. Very dry, short and seemed annoyed I was coming in to get my oil changed. The guy told me that they were going to have to charge me extra for the 2 extra quarts of oil. He said for the price he gave me, that was for 5 quarts and my car holds 7. I was really confused because nobody has ever said that to me before. As they were messing with my car, I messaged my husband about what he said and the extra charge. He immediately said that is not true and my car does not hold 7 quarts. I told the guy and he got very annoyed and rude that I was questioning him. He told the other guy to stop putting the oil in my car and said the computer told him the wrong amount. He never apologized to me, said sorry, or even tell me what was going on. I had to hear it when him and the other guy were talking. He told the other guy we that they were going to have to drain some of the oil out. I felt like I was getting taken advantage of because I was a woman that didn't know the difference like my husband immediately did. I'm sorry but someone that is working in this industry should know better with the amounts. Putting 2 extra quarts of oil in my car would have damaged the engine and I do not even have faith of what exactly what was put in it today. If it was not because I was a woman, than having someone work in the industry and putting the wrong amount of oil in cars is even worse. I paid and he told me that my VIN number is incorrect and that was the cause. In the 2.5 years of owning this car, nobody has ever told me that or have I had any issues with my VIN # with things. Again, still did not apologize for anything, say thank you for coming in, etc. I will definitely not come back and will continue my review on other local groups so they know my experience. read more

Take 5 Oil Change is a great resource for busy parents! As a busy working mother, I am always happy to be able to streamline my day and Take 5 Oil Change definitely did not disappoint. My "change oil soon" notification had been on for a week and of course, they just canceled school! I saw an excellent review of Take 5 Oil Change on Yelp and thought I would give them a try. I drove up and received service right away; a friendly employee greeted me, explained the process, and guided me to pull into the service bay. I had my two young children with me so I was especially pleased that we didn't have to get out of the car; in fact, my kids loved watching the mechanics work on the car. The manager (I think) explained the different types of oil and let me choose with zero pressure to buy any upgrades. They pulled out my air filter and showed it to me, explaining that it was clean and did not need to be changed. They also showed me the oil dipstick to verify that the new oil was clean and at the optimal level. The also checked my tire pressure and assured they were all aired-up as needed. The entire process took less than 15 minutes, and we were on our way. I will definitely be using Take 5 Oil Change for all future needs. read more
