So apparently my vehicle is plastic inside holding the oil and its their policy that they can not touch that, so without telling us they proceeded to suck the oil out instead of draining it, it took an hour and we had to get out to see what was going on. Maybe tell the customer beforehand and before taking payment, so we can choose to go somewhere else and not have our time and your time wasted. I chose the Premium oil change for $84.99, and the guy told me the air filter was supposed to be $25 but was only $10 today. He also recommended that I change the coolant, but I declined. However, he replaced it anyway, and it cost me $230. When I confronted him, he said he 'didn't know' and then reduced the price to $128. I was like, what the fuck is going on? Great place! Drive in, no wait. Offered me a complimentary bottle of water. They jumped on my oil change right away. Boone was my service advisor. He was very nice, informative, and NOT a pushy up-seller. He advised my air filter was still good and no need to replace. Pretty much opposite of what all other oil change places say. He did ask a couple of times about other "recommended" products, but he took no for an answer and was not pushy like all the other places. Boone is GREAT! Make sure you hold on to him. When I was told the charge, there was an extra charge of $4.99 per transaction, which I wasn't told about until they were finished. I asked if they had checked the air filter and was told that they didn't do it due to one of the two bolts missing, which made no sense to me. They could have just mentioned that fact, then asked if I still wanted to proceed. When I asked about checking the tires, they didn't do that either because their "gun" wasn't working. Great experience and Josiah specifically needs to be commended. Came in for an inspection and had to back up a few times to line up correctly and then didn't know how to turn the wheel to line the wheels up pulling over the pit (this is my husband's car and I don't normally drive it so I dont know basics like where the gas door button is) but Josiah was so patient and professional with me the entire time. He wanted to check the cabin filter (not in a pushy upsale way but I let him and was glad i did). It had never been changed and literally fell apart as he took it out which I witnessed. It made a mess in the floor board and he was apologetic but i was like, dude don't worry about it this car is a mess already but he was so nice about it. In and out in about 15-20 minutes which for me is plenty fast, especially since it is cold and raining. He took great care with the wind to not let it blow the car door into the racks between the cars which made it even more obvious he actually cares about what he is doing. I was first greeted by Asst. Mgr A.D. with a cold bottle of water. He was friendly, professional, courteous, and prompt. I pulled into the bay and three people worked on my car. They topped off all the fluids and changed my oil within five minutes. There was no pressure of adding this or that to inflate to my bill. Everybody was friendly, professional, and they all offered excellent customer service. I never had to step outside of my car. I went in to get an oil change. The shop manager Josiah and Alex changed my oil. The next day my motor started knocking. I took it back to Take 5 and another technician crawled under the vehicle with me and we noticed that the oil filter was not installed properly. Josiah's and Alex's negligence caused all the oil to leak from my motor and damage the internals. The technician offered to redo my oil change. This did not solve the problem my engine is damaged. I took my vehicle to a mechanic and he said I had engine damage due to the loss of oil and driving the vehicle like that. I took the diagnostic report to Josiah and he said he was going to go look at the vehicle at the shop it was at. The mechanic told me he showed up looked at the vehicle and turned it on and said nothing was wrong with it and left. Josiah did not run diagnostics on the vehicle or checked the motor. Now I'm going back and forth with this establishment to get my vehicle fixed. I filed a claim with corporate and going to get a lawyer cause I'm just getting the run around. I have videos of every interaction I have made with Take 5. I will be uploading them on YouTube under ( Take 5 oil filter leak ) I don't recommend you getting your oil change from Josiah or Alex. read more

The first time I came here there was some creepy older dude who kept asking about my personal life and being very condescending telling me I probably don't take care of my car properly (which he was proved wrong once he looked at my filters and realised they were basically new). I let it all slide and just went about my business. Well, I'm in need of an oil change and an inspection, and they're on my way to work. I pull into the drive and one of the guys looks over at me, rolls his eye and looks annoyed but motions for me to pull into the bay. I start pulling into the bay very slowly and carefully and some other dude comes out and angrily yells at me to stop and puts his hand up glaring at me. Don't get mad at someone pulling in where they were told to pull into. Needless to say, I reversed and drove off. The angry one looked pissed and annoyed as I was pulling away. I won't be going back and I don't recommend any of you waste your time. Anyone have any recommendations for a place to get both of these services where they won't be annoyed at simply having a customer? Worst take 5 I've ever been to and won't ever go to another. First take 5 my ass it took more or less 45 minutes to get my oil changed. But there was someone in front of me so I charged it to the that. But about a month later my car started making a funny noise and stopped on me. Took it to a mechanic, just to find out they used the wrong filter on my wife's car AND... didn't put the cap back on properly so my wife's car basically had no oil in it. Now we're faced w/ getting another car or having the engine rebuilt. So much for professional's. More like 3 youngsters messing under the hood of peoples car w/ oil stains on their shirts. The employees were kind, considerate, and polite when interacting with me. They completed the work in a timely manner. The shop was clean and the manager kept a close eye on procedures. There was no hard upsell, which I appreciated. Despite these good things there was several concerns. They may seem like small details, but they do effect the overall customer experience. First, I was offered water, which I accepted but was never brought the water. Second, they didn't have the oil I wanted. This is the second time I've been to this location and they did not have the oil. Third, when they opened the door to my white car to get the ID and change settings they did so with greasy hands. There were oil stains outside and inside the car. Fourth, they claimed to have reset the service notification, but this was not the case. Fifth and last, is that there was loud explicit rap music playing during the whole experience. It is one thing to have music playing, it is another to have explicit music playing. These things are easily fixable. I certainly hope they find a way to make the customer experience better. read more

I just left Take 5 oil change located on Jones Road and Cypress North Houston, after waiting behind another car for an hour. I proceeded to find out what was taking so long, and one of the attendants told me that the car in front was refusing to pay and about another vehicle leaving and not wanting an oil change because she was a Mexican. I was not impressed with that comment, nor was not called for. Not once did they bother telling me that there was an issue nor telling us to move. Then another man approached me, telling me that he was the manager; I was already upset and told him why.
