I've had my car there 3 times for service since they first opened their doors a few months ago. In…read moreeach case, I was totally satisfied with the quality of the work done. The first time, I had a coolant leak and the mechanic actually SHOWED me where it was leaking. Actually seeing the problem with my own eyes when the car was on the lift immediately made me feel that they can be trusted. They fixed that problem, did some other overdue maintenance work, and the car's been running much better now, zero problems. The only minor problem I had was that I asked for the parts to be returned to me, and they weren't. That really wasn't a big deal since my driveway isn't full of coolant spots any more. I thought the price for this repair was entirely fair. The second time was a problem that couldn't be duplicated when I was driving it while the tech was in the car with me. Ah well... They didn't charge me for that visit. The most recent visit was exceptional. I managed to get the end of a gas funnel stuck in the neck of my gas tank. This caused all kinds of problems when I'd fill up with gas at Kwik Trip. I tried to fish it out myself, but couldn't. I brought it to the dealership, and they told me they couldn't see it or get it out after allegedly scoping it out. The dealership charged me for that visit. I know they have bills to pay, so I was OK with that. On a whim, I brought it to the new Meineke (formerly Pope Autoworx). I told them what happened and that I wanted them to try to get it out, but I'd pay for an hour of time, no matter what. I told them that I wanted to save the part so I could see it. Well... THEY GOT IT OUT!!!!! The dedication, time and effort that they showed me in actually FIXING this problem impressed the hell out of me. I do my own oil changes and brake jobs, but for nearly everything else, this Meineke garage will be my first call.

This business is marvelous! I've been taking my car here for about a year and it's like taking my…read morecar to a trusted family member. I've moved all my business dealings local since March 2020 due to COVID-19. I decided that keeping my money in my community was important to me. I wanted the local businesses to feel supported and stay healthy during the pandemic. The last thing I want to see, in my community, v is a bunch of boarded up abandoned businesses that went bankrupt for lack of support. My motto has become, "shop where I live!" I try to limit my spending to my County, my zip code, my City, and places where I can't easily walk. It's actually been kind of fun! This place fits all the criteria! The people at this shop are amazing! When a car wash broke my heating vent and the dealership wanted a ridiculous amount of money to repair it, these folks helped me out by finding a used part and saving me some money! I was so grateful! Little things means a lot to me. They've helped me out with other things. Air in my "suddenly" flattening tires. Oil changes when the service light went on and my appointment was later in the day than I could handle! They even called me to apologize for a customer they perceived had harassed me (he hadn't)! What chivalry!!!! I am amazed at the quality of service here! It really just blows my mind! Even the shop dog, Luna, greets you at the door as if she knows to make sure you feel valued! I highly recommend this shop! It's classy! It's classic!! It's got class!!! Just go see for yourself! Say hi to Luna!

Beware Of "Up-Selling"…read more We decided to try out Cedarburg Auto Safety Center for a $60 oil change. We were then asked to buy a tire rotation that was supposedly on sale for $20. Five minutes later, as the oil change was underway, we were asked to buy a new cabin filter for $94.53 plus fees and taxes. We said, "No." Soon after, they tried to sell an engine air filter for $57.52 plus taxes and fees. Again, we said "No." Five minutes later, the person at the desk went out to the repair bay and retrieved two rectangular filters: a cabin filter and an engine air filter. The filters they showed us weren't that soiled. In fact, any debris they contained looked like it could've been tapped out over a waste basket, or possibly blown away with compressed air. She continued to push: "If this is what your other place did, you need to talk with them." Again, we turned down the Cedarburg Auto Safety Center offer. In dealing with service operations, we learned long ago not to engage in up-sell strategies. Simple rule: "Purchase what you came to purchase -- nothing more." So, will we go back? Probably not.

The wait was a little long but understandable as there were 4 cars already waiting in line when I pulled in (and 2 inside the bays). When it was my turn, the staff I interacted with were all positive, friendly, knowledgeable and most importantly, professional through and through. Great group of guys working quickly and efficiently, not worried about upselling, but instead were honest and helpful with their recommendations, & not pressuring in any way. I know a thing or two about cars & they weren't bullshitting me for more money; Their recommendations were in line with what I already knew my car needed. Knowing I don't have the time to take care of my car's needs myself anymore, and based on my current experience at this location, I will definitely be coming back to Grafton's Valvolene.
