I brought my car to Take 5 for what should have been a simple oil change. Within five minutes of arriving, my car wouldn't even start.
The employees immediately blamed the dealership that had done my previous oil change, claiming the oil filter housing had been overtightened or misaligned. At first, I believed them because I assumed they knew what they were doing. They even wanted to tow my car to Firestone, but I had it towed to the dealership instead.
After inspecting my vehicle, the dealership found that the oil filter housing had been damaged. It was clear the Take 5 technicians had used the wrong removal method, and I have photos showing it. All I asked was to be reimbursed for the damaged part. Instead of taking responsibility, they changed their story and claimed it was already damaged before I arrived, yet they have never provided any proof to support that claim.
A simple oil change turned into a tow, repair costs, and a lot of unnecessary stress. Do yourself a favor and do not ever go here. If a company can't perform a basic oil change or take responsibility when something goes wrong, they don't deserve your business read more
