Clean facility. Appeared well stocked and organized. Courteous (smiled, welcomed us, offered bottled water), Professional dialogue between team members, good services for what we paid (synthetic). Fair price (explained oil type options and brands) and was within $10 of market. Team members were pretty much lock-step on vocal steps to ensure safety and no procedural misses. (Was training new hire and explained steps as they went). Unsolicited, they offered us discounts to Veterans, First Responders, Medical, ride share and food delivery. Checked fluid levels and air tire pressures and replace wipers. MGR Was knowledgeable on several aspects of engine needs. Displayed certificates of appreciation for support of All Children's Hospital by team as their fundraising focus. Total time in/out was ~ 25 (with trainer) I'd come back! read more

Found out they put in synthetic blend instead of high mileage full synthetic. Who told me? Another Take 5 shop. Pathetic.

$40 more than my last oil change six months ago and I used a coupon. They added a $10 Shop charge which I have never had to pay at a take five before. I was originally told it would be 108 before coupon, after my vin was scanned, but it ended up being almost $145. Since my vin was already scanned, I would've assumed it included extra oil, it did not. The only reason I come here is because I usually pay $80-90. I may as well go someone else and get a tire rotation and additional services for that price. read more

Bunch of weasels just trying to upsell you on everything. Way overpriced for each service. Don't go there.

This place is a classic bait and switch operation. I called them for a price for a full synthetic oil change. They said it would be $74.99 for up to 5 quarts of oil plus tax. They said they could send me a coupon for $25 to reduce the price to $49.99. When we showed up they quoted $133! That's a lot of 's$ for 1 extra quart of oil and taxes, don't you think? I called back the corporate number and they insisted I misunderstood. I did not! It was all written down as they told me. At this point I could not even trust them to put the proper full synthetic oil in. Be ware and find some place more reputable. read more

Israel was courteous, personable. And most professional. Excellent service; thank you.

I would give this company less than a 1 star if Yelp would let me. Absolutely will not use or recommend anyone to use this service. They told me I needed a new serpentine belt and I agreed to let them replace it. Was told it would only take 15 minutes. 1-1/2 hrs later finally had the belt installed only to find out two weeks later that the belt was the wrong size. Burned out the new alternator! I have tried unsuccessfully on numerous occasions to rectify the situation with management and corporate. I have been met with nothing but silence! Also, it was discovered that the oil change that I went initially in for was never completed! Virtually no oil in the system! Terrible customer service! read more

I recently had an Oil Change at Take 5 on Cortez. In recap, the technician informed me I had a leak as the plug was mis-threaded and the pan needed replaced. When I informed him, I only use Take 5 so it must have happened there, he couldn't get rid of me quick enough. Now, is Take 5 going to pay for the replacement? read more

My coworker took his dodge to get fix here and they told him it was all fixed up he shouldn't have any problems with it anymore. They completely messed the car up it's always over heating now he can even drive over a couple miles without having to stop. He's called multiple times to get them to fix it but they won't take him and he's always reached out to corporate and nothing. I do not recommend taking your car to them. They have messed up multiple customers cars to my knowledge. read more

We have been to these Take 5 places in different states, really like the service we've received. This particular location needs a little help. The gentleman we spoke to looked for and "found" the correct oil filter for us. Then tried to say he was "upgrading" us to the wrong kind of oil, "free of charge". Then, all of a sudden, they had to run to the auto store to get the right filter and grade of oil. So what filter were they going to try and use? The wrong one. What grade of oil? The wrong one. They already had the car disassembled before we knew they didn't have what they needed to do the job, or we would have left. I think that's dishonest on their part. They're getting 3 stars because they gave us a discount for our wait, otherwise it would be lower. It took nearly an hour before we were on our way. Good company, bad location! read more

Went to Take 5 this week and it was a horrible experience. The technician went under the car and after a few minutes of asking his coworkers for three different sockets he gave up and said the plug was stripped. They informed me I would have to go to their sister shop on Cortez because they have a tool to remove a stopped plug. They said no worries they would call ahead. I drove 25 minutes to the other shop where they hadn't heard from first shop and didn't have the proper tool either. I left with a stripped plug and no oil change. I drove to Valvoline on SR 70 and within 15 minutes had a new plug installed and an oil change for less money than Take 5 was going to charge. Do yourself a favor and avoid Take 5 and go to Valvoline oil change. read more

Marcus was and will continue to be my technician. Marcus and his crew are extremely professional, kind, and hard working individuals who work with pride and who work very hard to ensure quality service. I drove in at 6:30 PM, a half hour before they close; Marcus was going on 13 hours of his shift at this point, and he was very nice and pleasant, and gave me impeccable service, just like it was still the beginning of his shift. This is a very hard working and respectable group of guys who will look after your vehicle. I highly recommend coming to the Cortez location. read more

I am not one to normally review any business because I don't pay attention to reviews at all; however, yesterday I got an oil change and a coolant exchange at Take 5 oil change located at 5202 Cortez Road West in Bradenton, Florida costing $ 196.84. Two of the employees on this first day were very short with the customers. The manager was arguing with another customer while we were there and there was too much screwing around by the employees. I woke up this morning with a puddle of oil under my Jeep that had no leaks prior to today, 06/23/2021. I returned this morning and the manager turned defensive immediately and pretended to check things out. He told me that I had a leak in the oil pan gasket and it was not their fault at all. He asked me who did my transmission work and replied telling him exactly who did it. He told me some fairy tale story about the problem being condensation running from my A/C down the transmission line and washing residue into my drive way. I left the store, to never return and I then drove to Vic's Transmission and Auto Service Center to get their take. It took 5 for the technician to put my jeep on the lift and tighten the oil filter and I am now leak free as I was before Take 5 Oil Change kids touched it. Pitiful, cocky and ignorant, too bad. read more
