The "manager" was more interested in telling me about his hobbies and why I need to have a transmission flush, while the other guys were under the hood. They dropped the oil fill cap and had to take of my skid plate to retrieve it. They did not attach it back correctly and it fell off on the expressway the next day. When I went back to tell them, they said they could give me 10 percent off on my next visit. I told them there would not be a next visit. Very poor management! read more

I visited Take 5 on 12/20/24 at 12pm for a standard oil change like I've always gotten from there. This experience was much different, after they completed the 'oil change' they had me rev my engine up for 5 seconds and white smoke started coming out of the exhaust. No one knew what was wrong and kept saying "well we don't have this kind of car so we dont know if it's suppose to do that." After about 15 min of looking under the hood they reassured me it would be fine and to "drive it around for a few miles to make sure." Once we tried to start the car it wouldn't start fully and threw a transmission malfunction code. The manager on duty said they would have it towed and taken to their mechanic shop they use, it would be looked at that day and would be in contact with us ASAP to give us any sort of update. My husband and I had to be picked up and was without a car. We passed take 5 on the way to dinner at 7pm that same day and my car was still there. The workers said "well the tow truck will be here either late tonight or tomorrow morning". We never got a call from Friday the 20th until Friday the 27th. The car wasn't towed until Sunday and since it was the holidays, the car shop was closed Monday-Thursday. From Saturday up until Friday the 27th I have called 10+ times with no answer. I went to take five on Thursday the 26th to get someone to give me any sort of update but no one could answer me, or knew what I was talking about and I was told "just keep coming back up here or try calling again". The car shop that they sent it to called me on Friday the 27th and told me that my car was ready and that take five drained my transmission fluid thinking they were draining the engine and thought they were refilling an empty engine but instead added 5qts of oil on top of the other 5qts that they 'drained.' So my car had 0 transmission fluid and 10qts of oil in the engine. I called asking for a rental car on Saturday and no one would answer. I had to go out on my own and get a rental car since take five never offered me one, or answered me about one on the phone. I had to get my original oil change from take 5 approved by upper management for a refund. They are not wanting to refund me for my rental car I had to have for 7 days to get me to and from work. I was told on Saturday the 28th via email "we didn't know you would need a car" and that they weren't made aware. I called multiple times and even went up there, I'm not sure how much more I could have made it known that I would need a rental car. I'm not sure what they expected me to do for 7 days with no car, a job and 2 kids. I was without a vehicle for 7 days and had to pay for a rental car with no compensation all due to take five making a huge mistake that could've ruined my car completely. They wanted to make sure that I knew they valued me so much as a customer and so graciously gave me 2 free oil changes that must be used by November, not that I plan on even using them ever again. So if you want to get an oil change and possibly have your car end up In a junkyard because you drove off with no fluids, Take five is the place to go! read more

I came to get a coolant flush because that is what I was told I needed. I was assured by 2 employees as well as a shop manager that there were no leaks and that the flush was safe to perform on my car. During the flush 2 employees were manually shaking my car to "burp the line". They stated they flushed 1.5L of bad coolant and replaced it with new coolant. When I was driving home from work that day, Tuesday, I realized my car was running a little warm, but I figured my car was still regulating the coolant. Yesterday, Thursday, on my way from work I realized my car was starting to overheat. The temperature gauge hand went past the H and I pulled over. I called the store and spoke with the lady manager. I told her my car was overheating and she said, "I am sorry but I am not understanding, what do you mean by overheating?". She asked where I was located. I explained I COULD NOT make it back to their location, but I would try to bring it back in the AM. Well, my boyfriend looked at the car last night and realized that the coolant reservoir was COMPLETELY empty. When he went to bleed the line the coolant DISAPPEARED into the line because air just started shooting to the top. There was almost no coolant in my car at all. It took us about 15 minutes to bleed the line while refilling the coolant. We put almost 3L of coolant back into the car. On my way home last night and to work this morning, my car maintained a proper temperature reading. This type of work is completely unacceptable. That could have caused MAJOR issues to my car. I will not be returning to this location. Also, when I called to let the lady manager know the coolant was empty and the line was full of air, she said "sorry". LOL. read more

I love the fact that I never had to get out of my car and that I could see everything they were doing. They also explained what they were doing, what I needed, the whole shebang. I didn't leave feeling like I got duped. I got an oil change, engine flush, and a new filter. I could see them throw away the old filter and the liquid from the flush. It just felt HONEST and let's be real you cannot say that about all car maintenance places. I HIGHLY recommend going here. Went in for emissions testing. Should have been quick enough but wasn't. Two bays are used for oil changes and emissions and the wait is usually two cars deep when waiting for other cars getting oil and emissions testing. Can go elsewhere and get it done quicker. read more

Wish I could give it 0 starts. First time I go in for an oil change and end up getting robbed lol! My total was $120 so I gave them 2 $100 bills to pay for it. They come back telling me they were fake so I give them 2 more. They come back once again telling me they were also fake and asking for a different payment method. I offer to pay using my credit card but ask for my money back, and they tell me nope! We're keeping the $400. Had to call the police to get my money back, was informed by the cop that my cash was indeed REAL and their counterfeit pen was "not working properly". DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!!! I came here for a normal oil change. The people who did the oil change failed to install the oil filter properly which in turn caused my car to stall on the highway, nearly killing me and my wife, while also destroying a brand new engine, totaling our car! After nearly a month of trying to communicate with management at the location I finally spoke to Roger, who assured me that things would be taken care of to resolve the problem swiftly. Unfortunately after this conversation, he never tried to contact me, my mechanic, or any of the other things he said he would do. He then proceeded to dodge my calls, and even failed to see us when we went to the location. Me and my wife are young and recently married, we spent a lot of money on our car, which this Take5 totaled. We've now been out of a car for three months. The staff here will destroy your car, and then avoid you like a group of toddlers playing hide and seek. My mechanic said that while he has dealt with a lot of cases like this with other quick oil change services, he has never experienced a company refuse to handle their damages immediately. He's also never experienced a company ghost him or his clients before. Not only have they been unprofessional, but their negligence has had a profoundly negative effect on our lives, family, and financial stability. Roger told me that this would get resolved quickly, but has instead chosen to try and avoid any responsibility causing further damage to our family and lives. Hands down the worst place I have ever been to. This company will not receive another single dollar from me. I got there for a simple oil change, end up having a few issues with my oil filter, in the process of working on it, they snapped a plastic cover on my engine in 2 places and told me they would have to buy me another one, to just end up telling me it was my fault to begin with. And the fact at the end, they never said anything about replacing the part they broke, I figured I would get a discount to just end up paying $116 for a oil change when everywhere else is $50-70. They were so attentive and walked me through everything they were doing in the extremely short time I was there. Also, a team member had discovered a bolt that had come loose under my car that was causing a part to drag. I visited this location for a oil change, which totaled about $76 with the air filter replacement. I asked that the fluids in my vehicle be checked and topped off. Only to find out when someone else checked it days later,that all the reservoirs where bone dry. None of the fluids had been topped off.Not even sure if they put in a new oil filter, it took them only about 10-15 min. I wouldn't recommend them. read more

I decided to stop in and get the oil changed in my wife's van as thanksgiving travel was approaching fast. They greeted me promptly and went over the option available. I chose one of the more expensive options. They quickly got to work and got everything checked out along with the oil change. They even gave me a cold bottle of water while I waited in my car.
