I've been paying for the monthly unlimited, but was alerted on my Facebook neighborhood page that people were being charged multiple times. This just happened to me this week. I was charged $27 on 12/1 and again on 12/4. I've tried to get in touch with someone, stayed on the phone for nearly half an hour and no one ever answered. It seems purposely difficult to contact someone or cancel your membership. I tried to give this Take 5 Car Wash (Decatur, GA) a fair chance, but the whole membership experience has been nothing but frustrating. I originally went to this location to sign up for a monthly membership and use their military discount. Instead of handling it on-site, staff told me I had to sign up online, so I paid for a $19 single wash that day. When I got home and tried to complete the membership online, I discovered this Decatur location doesn't accept online sign-ups. I ended up having to register the membership under the Dawsonville, GA location instead. Since then, using the membership at Decatur has been a mess. On one visit, an employee took a photo of my license plate and told me that's all I'd need going forward. On another visit, a different employee told me I had to use the Take 5 Car Wash app and show a code from the app. I installed the app, but it did not recognize my existing membership. My email and phone number weren't recognized, and the app only offered to create a new account, even though I already have an active membership. I also found out their membership scanner at this location has not been working, which explains part of the chaos, but doesn't excuse it. I reached out through their online form and never received any acknowledgment or response. After several weeks of trying to get a simple refund for the one-time wash and to have my membership work properly at this location, I finally gave up and cancelled the membership altogether. I shouldn't have to work this hard just to use a car wash I'm already paying for. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this location. If you're considering a membership, especially if you expect to use the Decatur site, I'd suggest looking elsewhere. read more

Fraudulent charges on my debit card. I went there for a single car wash. An agent tried to sell me an unlimited plan, which I declined. That was in August 2025. They began charging my account monthly in October, then in December charged me 3 separate times for prior months. LESSON LEARNED: check your bank statements monthly with a fine-toothed comb! Be very careful if you should happen into this car wash. I was enrolled in a reoccurring monthly payment scheme! I told the employee I was NOT interested in a monthly reoccurring membership and then I was enrolled in one. I was charged multiple times in one month through autopay and did not receive any support after reporting the issue. I have a membership and had my car washed yesterday. There was a sign blocking entrance into the wash area which I had to wait for the guy to show up to remove. He gave very lazy hand gestures to ensure my car was lined up correctly (like he didn't care at all) and he had no intention of spraying my car until I had to roll down the window to ask him. and that was barely done too. when my car was being pulled in I felt an alignment charring and scraping on the front passenger side very low. I thought maybe my tire. Today I see my car bumper has a slice out of it and the fiberglass is chewed up with the paint scraped off. I'm so upset!!! Came here for a car wash in the morning. The gentleman at the entrance was nice and offered assistance if needed. The car wash portion was fine and has no issues. Pulled out to vacuum my car and clean it and half the vacuums were not working or were missing. Pulled into a couple spots before found some that worked. One of them barely had any suction to it. They offer towels with interior cleaner and window cleaner which is nice. Busy location but wish the vacuum actually worked. read more

Came to check it out given convenient location to work. Generally disappointed. Big fan of such car washes, just not this one. Price point is on the high side of competitive both for single and membership based models. Carwash is low staffed, with one employee to give a quick spray before entering the mediocre quality wash itself. The vacuum area is not covered-- in a very hot, sunny, and rainy climate. All the towels and sprays are in one inconvenient location. Vacuum suction 3-4/10, air compressor hose power 4-5/10, cleaning towels/sprays quality 10/10 location 2/10. No air fresheners provided. I was a repeat costumer but am having trouble getting in contact using the contact number listed on the website. (It's the same number that the owner gave the other Yelp user.) I was charged for a membership that I definitely did NOT sign-up up for and just realized I have three reoccurring charges from September. Under the previous owner, my car got clean. The only thing I may have had to do is scrub out a few tenacious dead bugs. But every part of the car was cleaned consistently, and I felt like I got my $20 worth. I'd gone to the JJ's on Memorial once. The wheel cleaner only cleaned the wheels on one side, so I wasn't going back there. Well, JJ managed to make this location every bit as bad. The roof of my small sedan wasn't cleaned at all. None of the dead bugs and almost none of the bird dookie came off. Even the front and back windows were filthy! It was as if I drove through a light rain with flashing colorful lights. This Car Wash should be avoided. Their car washes are not 100%. It takes two washes to get your car clean. THAT IS WHY THEY PUSH THE MONTHLY MEMBERSHIPS. Once hooked into the monthly deal it is near impossible to cancel your membership. They have a tendency to charge you after you have cancelled. 100% fraud. Poor Value. On Nov 24 2024 I went to wash my car, no issues. In Dec when I got my credit card statement, I found a new charge on Dec 24, That I did not get a wash at that time. Trying to call the number listed on the transaction was useless 303-779-9009. I had to go to the car wash and wait for someone to talk to. They did not want to help cancel the membership they said I had signed up for, I had to keep insisting. American Express sided with them, that I had signed up for auto renewal membership. This last time the attendant assisted me to make sure I did a single wash. Lots of pressure to sign up and navigating around the pay screen to get a single wash took a couple of tries, even for them, and they were not happy. The screen presents membership and monthly fee as only option. I had one of my worst customer service experiences at the Take5 carwash on Lawrenceville highway in Decatur. When pulling into the wash I asked the gentleman who was spraying down my grill to push in my mirror on the passenger side. He told me that he was not "obligated" to push in my mirror. I told him I have been coming there over 10 years and I've never had anyone say that to me. He repeated again that he was not obligated. He said I was responsible and I should have pushed my mirror in when I entered the parking lot. Of course I said I would not be returning and he said that's OK. I asked for the manager and it turns out he was the manager. One of the employees saw what was going on and went over to push in my mirror and the so-called manager told him not to do it. Beside the complete disregard for customers I felt an air of arrogance. If you want your mirror pushed in I suggest you go somewhere else. read more

So, I was going back and forth to physical therapy and thought that a great gift to myself was "One Month of Unlimited Washes." I never signed up online or entered any info anywhere for this. I was at the drive-thru and I believe they just used my license plate. Fast forward a year and no one there can locate an account--because there is not one. Even with transaction numbers, dates, and amounts can they find this charge and stop it (at the corporate level). They have my email, a couple of them actually, addresses and phone number. So, more than one year later and here we are. Tomorrow, I'm calling my bank to just stop payment, which I should have done, but it's been a very long year coming back from shattering my tibia (shin bone). The wash isn't all that great, the "pre-wash" is just someone spraying a small stream of water on your car, not all of the car, just enough to make you think they're doing something. But the worst thing of all is their subscriptions, once you sign up for one your credit card statement will start being charged ad nauseam and there's really no quick way to contact them! I may have to cancel a credit card that I really like just to get them to stop billing me. Bottom line: poor car washes, incompetent corporate billing and no customer service. This is a complete scam. Purchased two monthly "unlimited" memberships (which actually limits the number of visits in a certain period time) and used it for a couple of weeks before the place shut down. I came on a weekend and they had the majority of the vacuums closed which cause a long line to form for the 4 that were open.
