Cute keychain trinkets at cash register!
Connie Y.

Super cute new shop in SG! Lots of snacks, trinkets, and more. Got a probiotic jelly snack and a cute little keychain ring. Great AC lol and lots of stuff to browse through with so many goodies from Taiwan. I'm assuming the owners were manning the store, they were super sweet and welcoming :3

LOVE this little store! They're still in soft opening mode, so I'm sure they'll get more items and the hours may increase, but I stopped by on a Sunday afternoon after not being able to find some simple gifts. It's located in a super busy plaza, and parking get quite chaotic and tight, but there's street parking nearby and free parking lots as well. Literally one across the street from the other side. Not too far of a walk at all. The owners are super friendly and welcoming and gave customers information on some of their favorite items and history and cultural relevance of some of the goods that they have in there. Lots of imported snacks and there's little informational signs about them too. Many of these things I've never seen in convenience stores or markets, which is super cool. My boyfriend got a sugar free 4 Seasons Oolong Tea and I got a Strawberry Milk box. The "juice" box is much bigger than what I usually see, so it's neat and novel. I got sugar free candies (HauMaxQ) and not only is the art on the packaging fun (salaryman creatures), but they come in different flavors too: salt and lemon, honey loquat, green plum, etc. Great for your throat, resealable and affordable too. Lots of snacks and gifts are under $5 here (cute little mirror keychains and other trinkets) and aside from super fancy gifts (tea cup and kettle sets), everything is fairly priced and affordable. Great if you want to try something for yourself or get a gift or snack for someone else. Definitely will stop by again when I'm inevitably in the area for Yama Sushi or Paper Cola.

This is the cutest Taiwanese shop with the nicest Taiwanese owners and I hope everyone takes the time to drop in and check it out. I've been here 3X already since they opened and now make a point to stop in for some Taiwanese snacks every time I grab lunch in the area. The owner Gary is the nicest guy. Very friendly and genuinely excited to share all his favorite things from Taiwan with you. He curated products and brands from Taiwan that aren't easily found at a 99 Ranch market. There's also little souvenirs and gift ideas like tea and boba socks lol. They're a new spot and I want to support them so please stop by and check it out.

I was going to my car in the parking lot and happened to see this store. I thought it loved interesting so I went inside to take a look. There were plenty of things from Taiwan - snacks, food, bags, magnets, keychains, etc. They were nicely displayed. I got a cute coin bag and keychain. Prices were reasonable.

Small little store with alot of different things from taiwan. We ended up getting mushroom and black pepper sauce for steak because i remember those from cafes. We also got tea as well. Also got one of the teas as well. The cashier was nice and explained stuff to us and even recommended us to put mushroom and black pepper sauce together but not as a soup

Yuzu lozenges! Good for dry throat!

There were lots of great Filipino snacks to munch on, but I sadly did not get anything. Because my main goal and priority was to try their delicious food. I ordered a to go container and got a lot of delicious proteins and carbs. I would highly recommend this to everyone who has never tried Filipino food, this place is the right place, and the place that you should try first! The staff were very welcoming and happy and excited to serve their customers walking in. 10 out of 10 stars for this Filipino family markets. And I will be back soon! If you want unique and truly delicious straight from Japan come to this store. They had the cutest cookies with cream and fruit but from Japan and not mandatory to refrigerate. They were delicious. Oh and their chips from Asia can't be beat. Unique flavors my 96 year old mom loves! Without a doubt you must buy the green onion pancakes by geemate. They are better than restaurant quality. I was particularly interested in a Facebook article about Japanese Milk Tea Ice Cream. I spoke to the store owner and he showed me what Ice Cream he stocks. He indicated it was not Milk Tea however, and I guess I misread the article. Other items of interest included many Hello Kitty items, slices of quality beef, Japanese vegetables and spices and many packaged goods from Japan. The store is so neat and everything has its place within the store. I felt I was in someone's home, so I was cautious about what I touched. Overall, this market has its place in the San Gabriel Valley, as the catering of Japanese goods helps maintain the customs of Japan and allows those Issei pioneers to maintain their lifestyle.

The store is a bit small, but it's nice to see the selection of imported Taiwanese goods. It's around the time for Mid Autumn Festival so they had discounts of several different kinds of moon cakes which is neat. I'm only one person so I didn't partake, but if you have family and a lot of people to gift, this might be a great deal to take a look at. Staff are super nice and friendly, welcoming too and made lots of suggestions during my visit. Grab a basket as well if you are going to make a lot of purchases. I LOVE the little photo op they have in the front. The Formosan black bear holding the boba milk tea is super cute. Definitely take photos if you can. They also have other deals and specials there too, like a slight discount if you purchase the whole box of bottled drinks and more. Selection varies from refrigerated and frozen items (like fish, neat!), snacks, sauces, candies (I love the herbal candies, great for the throat), cookies, canned goods, drinks (the bigger box milk teas are yummy), and much more. I mainly went there since my friend got a new fancy toaster and I remember seeing imported Taiwanese garlic spread and condensed milk type sweet spread and thought it would be a great gift to get. Also saw the Science Noodle snack. The wizard on the bag always reminds me of my grandpa so I got one of those as well. Make sure to sign up for their membership program. Completely free and you can keep your points, they never expire, for your next visit! PS. Plenty of parking since it's a huge plaza.

It was nice to see certain items that I had not seen in so long. The store is a bit on the smaller side, but whichever way you look, there's something for everyone. Goods are a bit pricier than most, but not many places sell goods directly from Taiwan. As others mentioned, it was very clean and have a good selection. There are plenty of parking near the store, especially since Big Lots has closed years ago.

I live by the produce. I get 80% of mine from here. They have a lot to chose from and the prices are remarkable. There is always a good sale on meat and seafood, and they have some great quality. Gary is always very personable and delivers top notch service. Over in the deli section, not only is the service stellar but they have a very wide variety of product. Cheeses, deli meats, dips, salads.....an excellent selection. This is a great community grocery store and I highly recommend it for your grocery needs, especially if you're on a budget!

But the elderly can't do that so it's why the lines are so long. Now here is the kicker. At the end of the checking line is a manager ...sometimes 2. A man and a woman. They are observing the long lines...counting something...just observing. It would help if THEY just go to the end of a long line and start bagging! See, that would be cool! You see you guys have not scheduled any baggers and the lines are so long they are down the aisles .. and you are just standing there? Of course they may say, well that's not my job. But that's the mentality that keeps things moving slow. It would be so nice if people just did what it takes to keep things moving. Either hire enough people OR get in there and start bagging! I remember back in the days there was a bagger at the end of each checkout aisle. A bagger and a casher! Those days are gone ...and most stores now see if they can get away with overworking the checker! Next thing you know they install self check outs! Rather than hire people and keep a system of people working they just get rid of people and have 1 person observing (like these managers were doing). What a world we are moving towards. But anyways that's what you see. I wish they would just hire bag boys and go back to the good ol days.

Great place to get tinned fish, chocolates, or crackers and cookies or candies if you're trying to find a quick gift. My boyfriend got some alcohol and some canned goods here. I got some caramel vanilla ice cream. Reminded me of the drumstick ice cream, but creamier and less "heavy" tasting if that makes sense. A juxtaposition, I'm sure. Shop had customers come in and out the entire time, but it was never super busy. Worker was on the phone I think with other customers, but was friendly either way. Ambiance was casual, a bit aged, not super fancy, but does the job.
