    Supermarket - outside store sign
    Janet T.

I came here for the first time today while waiting for my husband to get a haircut. There is a wide variety of herbal stuff and other Chinese supermarket that would carry. I end up buying a herbal cream that went on sale. There is also some pricy bird nest and ginseng stuff. I don't know much about that stuff, but if you are looking for any Chinese herbal stuff, this may be worth a place for you to check out. Wide selections.

TS Emporium sold the Chinese yams 鐵棍山藥are moldy and rotten. The store manager refused to let us return it.

What an interesting grocery store. Things are pretty pricey but that's probably just the cost of the unique items. They got tons of random herbal stuff like birds nest and other ginsengs. Really enjoyed pushing around the tiny carts.

What's up: Wanted to come check this place out and see how things have changed from when it used to be a Pep Boys. Plus, we were also on the search for ingredients that we needed to make some yummy tapioca pearl dessert! Parking: Parking was busy up front, but if you head towards the back, you'll eventually find some open spots. The lot is shared with the nearby businesses. Environment: Masks are required. Wow, this place is huge and clean. Things were bright and well lit with lots of Lunar New Year decor. Once you walk in, you'll see the check-out counters on the left and tons of aisles all around. They even have a fresh produce section towards the back. Restrooms are located near the produce section. There's multiple cashiers but only one line for check out. What was bought: - Sweet Potato - Tapioca Pearls - Rock Sugar Yay/Nay/Meh: Yay. We found our ingredients and we also found the sweet vinegar we usually get when we make ginger eggs...and they have it in different sizes! I know where we're going there next time we need this. Credit cards are accepted.

My sister and I visited the new location across the street from The Hat. Easy parking in front of the store. Once we walked inside, the space is huge from the former people boys. One side is herbs at the counter and other side is pharmacy stuff. The aisles are spacious and well stocked with household, condiments, ramen, and sell fresh vegetables in the back. All I hear the older ladies chatter so I followed the sound and see vegetables individually wrapped and they are affordable prices. Fun place to look around.

    Grand opening

TS Emporium has just opened it newest branch in Rosemead occupying the former Pep Boys store. On its first day of grand opening, there are a lot of promotional gifts giving out to patrons. Depending on the purchase amount, gifts packages vary with different practical things such as utensils, seasoning sauces and lunar calendars. This is by far the biggest stores of the Chinese herb specialty store chain. They have all the usual Chinese herbs plus all the other Chinese grocery items as well as freshly delivered produces directly from the local farms. For me, I normally shop at TS Emporium for Chinese cooking sauce and spices. They have the most comprehensive stocks of Chinese cooking ingredients. I can cook up a storm of any Chinese dish with ingredients here. Lastly, if you're looking for an auto rice cooker, this place has all types and brands of rice cooker. We bought a 3 cup small rice cooker that's made in Japan as Christmas present for our mom. During grand opening week, parking maybe a bit challenging. But they do have a lot of parking spaces in the back.

Ask the Community - TS Emporium

Does this TS Emporium fill herbal prescriptions from traditional Chinese doctors (raw herbs or powdered)?

Yes they do! On my visit, they calculated the cost of the prescription and then had us pay at the cashier first before filling it for us. They use raw herbs, not sure if they offer powdered herbs.

Sandwiches start at just $4.99 and they use Boar's Head meats, which already puts it above your typical grocery store sandwich. You can choose from their preset options or build your own. I went with a turkey sandwich on sourdough with all the add-ons, and everything tasted fresh and satisfying. They'll even toast the bread for you, which makes a big difference. What really stood out is the value--you can load up your sandwich and still keep it under $10. They also have combo options where you can get a drink and a bag of chips for $5.99, making it an easy and affordable meal. Quick, convenient, and budget-friendly. Definitely a good spot if you're in the area and need a simple lunch.

See hilarious review below by Robert H!…read more I would like to add my 2 cents on the sandwich situation, which depending on the time of the day you hit up the deli, can be very dire. The older Hispanic ladies who make the sandwiches in the morning = amazing. Love them. They are warm, kind, quick, and attention-detailed. The sandwiches they make? Literally chef's kiss! Heaven on earth! Now onto the men who the make the sandwiches later in the day. Complete night and day. Watching them make sandwiches is like watching Down Syndrome people compete in the Special Olympics or the infants race in those baby crawl races. No directions, no focus, no sense of urgency. Think of the slothes working at the DMV from Zootopia. They talk to each other. They stare at the sandwich order print outs. They make the sandwiches haphazardly. And they still get the sandwiches wrong! How can you make sandwiches wrong when the pace has been so leisurely?? In conclusion, can Sprouts please please please, for the love of God (or the universe if you're an atheist), hire more ladies to work during the lunch times and evening times?!

They are a vegan meat alternative wholesale market and they currently have affordable bundles for sale to the public. I've been watching most of Tony's (owner and founder) videos on instagram on how to prepare the meat and also how to use them for the most delicious recipes. He is very informative in all his videos. I had several questions regarding his products, and whoever answered my messages on Instagram was quick! I got the bundle with Vegan bacon slices, drumsticks, and sunny side up eggs. The first thing I made were the drumsticks. I thought it was awesome that the "meat" is attached to sugar cane. It's pretty much a dual purpose because you can "make a drink" from them afterward. I had the drumsticks fried in oil by itself, and another pack steamed with mushrooms and beyond sausages. They were really good and I was happy that they were not that salty because most vegan packaged food I have tried are. I fried the eggs and bacon in oil as well. The bacon was on point and not as salty as actual bacon. It can be crispier as well if you like them prepared that way. The eggs tasted like hard boiled eggs. According to one of Tony's videos, the "egg white" is made out of tofu and the "yolk" is made out of mung beans. The drumsticks come with 6 pieces in one package, bacon has 10 in a package, and eggs are also 10 in a package. I will definitely order from them again to try their chicken breast, shrimp, tuna, and jerky!
