a variety of fruits on a cart

Stopped in after we ate next door at pho ga bae Ninh a Vietnamese chicken noodles house . . My friends wanted some exotic fruits and sugar cane drinks . Their prices are similar to other specialty fruit shops in the area . We ordered some sugar cane drinks for the road , I requested for plain sugar cane only , no kumquats mixed in. ( don't like the citrus mixture with it ) so refreshing , sweet and ice cold deliciousness.

Sandwiches start at just $4.99 and they use Boar's Head meats, which already puts it above your typical grocery store sandwich. You can choose from their preset options or build your own. I went with a turkey sandwich on sourdough with all the add-ons, and everything tasted fresh and satisfying. They'll even toast the bread for you, which makes a big difference. What really stood out is the value--you can load up your sandwich and still keep it under $10. They also have combo options where you can get a drink and a bag of chips for $5.99, making it an easy and affordable meal. Quick, convenient, and budget-friendly. Definitely a good spot if you're in the area and need a simple lunch.

See hilarious review below by Robert H!…read more I would like to add my 2 cents on the sandwich situation, which depending on the time of the day you hit up the deli, can be very dire. The older Hispanic ladies who make the sandwiches in the morning = amazing. Love them. They are warm, kind, quick, and attention-detailed. The sandwiches they make? Literally chef's kiss! Heaven on earth! Now onto the men who the make the sandwiches later in the day. Complete night and day. Watching them make sandwiches is like watching Down Syndrome people compete in the Special Olympics or the infants race in those baby crawl races. No directions, no focus, no sense of urgency. Think of the slothes working at the DMV from Zootopia. They talk to each other. They stare at the sandwich order print outs. They make the sandwiches haphazardly. And they still get the sandwiches wrong! How can you make sandwiches wrong when the pace has been so leisurely?? In conclusion, can Sprouts please please please, for the love of God (or the universe if you're an atheist), hire more ladies to work during the lunch times and evening times?!

They mainly supply to large corporations but want to make it accessible to the public as well which is so freaking awesome. The owner said this place has been vegan for the last 30 years. They are a vegan meat alternative wholesale market and they currently have affordable bundles for sale to the public. I've been watching most of Tony's (owner and founder) videos on instagram on how to prepare the meat and also how to use them for the most delicious recipes. He is very informative in all his videos. I had several questions regarding his products, and whoever answered my messages on Instagram was quick! I got the bundle with Vegan bacon slices, drumsticks, and sunny side up eggs. The first thing I made were the drumsticks. I thought it was awesome that the "meat" is attached to sugar cane. It's pretty much a dual purpose because you can "make a drink" from them afterward. I had the drumsticks fried in oil by itself, and another pack steamed with mushrooms and beyond sausages. They were really good and I was happy that they were not that salty because most vegan packaged food I have tried are. I fried the eggs and bacon in oil as well. The bacon was on point and not as salty as actual bacon. It can be crispier as well if you like them prepared that way. The eggs tasted like hard boiled eggs. According to one of Tony's videos, the "egg white" is made out of tofu and the "yolk" is made out of mung beans. The drumsticks come with 6 pieces in one package, bacon has 10 in a package, and eggs are also 10 in a package. I will definitely order from them again to try their chicken breast, shrimp, tuna, and jerky!

Fresh produce, baked goods, hummus, pizza, tamales, seafood, and more. This weekend I stopped by and grabbed grilled skewers from Far East Embers. You could smell them from across the market, they were grilling over charcoal and it smelled amazing. I got the sampler which came with one of each skewer, plus rice and salad. Really solid and filling. They had a bit of a line so be ready to wait, but it's worth it. Definitely a nice addition to the area and I'm excited to see it grow.

Not enough vendors, not enough energy, and honestly it felt like the city threw a party and forgot to invite people. It fizzled out pretty quickly, and most of us moved on. But then they tried again, and wow, did they come back swinging. Reopened April 11th of this year, and the difference is night and day. The place was packed. Great energy, tons of people, and a solid lineup of vendors that actually made you want to stick around and spend money. But the real stars? The pop-ups. There are some genuinely cool bakeries and unique drink vendors that give this market a personality of its own. The kind of thing you don't always find at your standard Saturday market. Is it perfect? I'd love to see more produce vendors, fruits and veggies are still a bit sparse. At this point I'd put it right up there with Alhambra and Pasadena, which is saying something. We'll definitely be regulars going forward. Hoping the city keeps the momentum and brings in even more pop-ups and produce vendors because the foundation is clearly there now.
