I am not a huge gambler. It's likely because my first summer job was at the Ex for a gaming company. I also wrote user guides for machines that are in casinos. However, I do like going to check out the food and buffet. I decided to come here and explore. There is a ton of parking. It is also steps away from the hotel. It's easy to roll out of bed and hit the slots in a matter of minutes. I decided to sign up for an AXIS card. I basically filled out a form and walked over to the woman at customer service to get things set up. The music at this casino is so loud that I had difficulty listening to this soft-spoken woman. She was great and got my card set up, along with letting me know how the card works. I hit the slot machine. I played the Dolly Parton slot machine game. I had $10 and added it to my card. I was doing well, eventually winning $11. I then lost it all... haha! Shoreline Casino has a buffet. I don't normally like buffets, as volume is not top priority. However, the selection is what grabs me. There was a long lineup and everyone was at least twenty years older than I was. I figured out that it was $10 per person to eat there that night. I decided to pass, despite the decent price. You can use this AXIS card at the casino in Peterborough. Nice! The redemption machines that I used to write about were at this location. I wasn't traumatized, but it's amazing how far I have come in my career. Yet, the machines look the same after all these years. I had fun at this casino. I'd come back and maybe give the buffet a shot during off-peak hours. (354)

I played a couple of bigger machines without much luck, but ended up getting the bonus on the Larry the Lobster game. So, I ended up with a little extra money for my trip. Cute little place not overcrowded (this was on a Monday afternoon). Will visit again.

Well, let's just say, never again…read more While this is a bustling business, it was very disappointing. Service was fine, but the food is awful. I tried the coconut shrimp, prime, rib, grilled steak, meat with vegetables, some kind of chocolate cake, crème brûlée, and had a salad. Let's start with a salad. The ingredients are fine most of it fresh. The salad dressing was horrible. That's the only reason why I didn't like it. Otherwise a salad bar was pretty decent. The meat on the other hand were big no. I don't know what they put or sauté their stirfry meat with, but it has a slimy consistency to it. It's disgusting. MSG? I don't know what it is but it's gross. The grilled steak would've been fine had it not been cold. The prime rib would've also been fine, had it too not been cold, and too raw. But let's face it why are these even on the menu when it's supposed to be "Mandarin" cuisine? Too too many non-Asian food choices. Maybe if they didn't spread their buffet too thin with unnecessary ( European) items, maybe the quality would be there. Then there is the dessert, again what is this slimy, icky texture to this food? I tried two desserts. The crème brûlée was actually pretty decent. But the chocolate cake, was slimy. Again, I don't know what they put on their food, but it's all got this gelatin like texture to it. So, no, I'll pass. I know what good food tastes like. Even a buffet can have good, quality food. And this place is not it.
