I scheduled an appointment online with no problem, and when we arrived, the staff listened carefully as I explained what areas needed trimming for our cat, Kingston. They did exactly what we asked -- he came back nicely groomed, clean, and smelling absolutely heavenly. He looked so handsome and clearly felt comfortable afterward. I had everything booked even what breed my dog is. When I got there my dogs groomer (izaia) told us we shouldn't cut our dogs hair because of the breed. Yelled in the back asking if someone else wants to do it. Then looked at our history because we have been there and she has gotten shaved the past 2 years! They still wouldn't! I find this very unprofessional. Especially when they can see all of this before hand. It's unfortunate but because of this individuals behavior, our business will go else where. read more

For the most part, every time I took my dog to get groomed I was fairly happy, but the last time I took my young cockapoo here not only did they cut his hair different from previous visits, but they also charged me 20+ more than my previous payments, took super long, AND my dog contracted pink eye after that visit which I had to take him to the doctor for!! I have gone here around 4 times, and the last 2 times they canceled on me. This last time she rescheduled with me, but when I asked for a discount since it was inconvenient for me, she never responded. Just ignored me. LACK OF COMMUNICATION! I was really excited when I first took my dogs there, they looked great! But the last two times, they shaved my puppy which she wasn't matted or had knots, we take very care of them, they get brushed 2-3 times a day. She's a long haired curly dog that is part English sheepdog, and poodle and Labrador. Her hair took 20 weeks to grow back from the first shave- which wasn't supposed to happen- she was getting trimmed, her curl texture is all messed up and was just coming back to what it was, we wanted to grow it out more. I take the dogs in again and told them- only a Trim for each, shave the paw pads and the pups face a bit, I stated that we're growing her out and she just needs a body trim, I SAID IT 4 times not to shave her. Come to get them, SHES COMPLETELY SHAVED! They didn't tell the technician what I wanted, and instead the technician looked at the notes and did what they did last time! She wasn't supposed to be shaved the first time as I stated. I wasn't called to verify what I wanted if they were confused or questioning/unsure. I'm so immensely disappointed and frustrated by lack of communication, and my husband was furious this happened AGAIN. read more

Tailored Tails is arguably the best groomer in the area! We moved about 45 minutes away and we still make the drive to take our pups to tailored tails for their grooming. They do excellent work, in a timely manner, and you definitely cannot beat the price. 10/10 read more

My dog came back and has been clingy ever since his appointment which was off because he is very calm and happy and he seems scared to be alone or away for even a second so I think something definitely happened to him there I would not recommend and will no longer take my dog there he has been acting very strange since his appointment . read more

Im pretty bummed to have to leave this review because in the past Tailored Tails was great. I took my Frenchie in to get groomed and when I picked her up she was shedding like crazy. The groomer said that was expected since she just had puppies but when I got home and looked her over her coat was so dirty, rough, dry and her hair had been brushed so badly that it left tons of damage. She didn't even smell clean. Me and my husband realized they didn't even bathe her because she still had dirt under her belly. They did cut her nails but that was it. Because of this I decided just to bathe her at home. She looked 1000% times better getting a bath with Petco shampoo then she did going to the groomers. i could see the damage they left on her skin and will definitely never take her or my other dogs there again. read more

I took my dog this morning for a scheduled appointment at am. I was 10 min early and left instructions with the front desk on what I wanted for grooming. I wanted a 4f on the head and 7/8 on the body. I was told it would take a couple of hours and they would call me when he was done. Fast forward to 1 pm my King Charles Cavalier was still there with no update from the groomer. I had to call and was told it would be at least another 30 min and they would call when he was done as he was on the table now. I showed up at 2 pm STILL NO communication from the groomer and was told he was done. First my dog who had a scheduled appointment took 6 hours because they booked another dog at the same time. The groomer/manager confirmed that my dog had to sit in a cage for at least 2 hours, when he came out he and the same length shave all over and the manager confirmed she used a 1 length on him completely ignoring my request. I was visibly upset and the manager tried to say sorry with a flippant attitude and was doing nothing to try to make it right. When I asked to speak to the owner she forcibly handed me my dog and kicked me out telling me to never return and kept stating well I said I was sorry. Had I known that this was the service that as a NEW client I would receive I would have never scheduled an appointment there. What I am most concerned about is that I was told he was started at 30 min late, given what they told me the time table for him being worked on doesn't add up. My dog got home and was extremely thirsty and tired from the ordeal. read more

Brought in my long haired cat to be bathed and groomed as she usually develops mats pretty quickly, and she gets pissy when I try to brush her passed 5 minutes. Was kind of weary about bringing her someplace new but they did a phenomenal job on her! She wasn't stressed at all when I got her home either. She was actually strutting around the apartment meowing and was quite pleased with herself lol She smells great too! Will definitely be bringing her back. read more
