Can eat out front on the patio as well. Had some time to kill in the afternoon before the dinner rush and observed the staff getting ready. They took good care of me at the bar.... They seemed generally interested in setting up for a nice dinner atmosphere for their customers. The gentleman running the kitchen spoke with pride about the establishment and the owner when I inquired about how old the building was. We had a nice chat about Albuquerque and Bono. Good people. I came back for dinner around seven p m with my friend and it was a nice atmosphere with the band playing in the corner, not too loudly. We both had the perch dinner, I can't remember a better fish dinner than this one. The perch was golden brown, crispy fried, tender and tasty on the inside. Large portion of perch. Absolute perfection. The french fries were nice and crispy fried...fried green bean appetizer was also done perfect. I really can't say enough about how nicely done this was... I really didn't expect it to be this good. I had had perch dinner in saint clair shores , michigan , two nights before , and it couldn't even come close to this. This was pride in one's craft delivered right to the table. Chef Ramsey would approve. The atmosphere is nice, even a little game room with shuffleboard. It still smells of cigarettes, after indoor smoking has been banned for over twenty years. The bathrooms smelled even more like cigarettes. The bar is very typical early 2000s vibe. Everything is vaguely sticky. My daughter was fascinated. On the positive, the food was good and very fairly priced. It looks like drinks are also well priced. We had wings which were good. Cheese curds also very good but a bit overcooked. My daughter's pizza looked pretty mid but she was happy. It took a long time because they were having oven problems but the server was very responsive around it. In general our server was hustling and seemed focused on good experience. I had fun. However, the last time I went we were cold shouldered by the bartenders. It was a week day night about 7 people on one side of the bar other than ourselves and 2 bartenders... I am a bartender myself so I know how it feels to be behind the bar. My dad had come down to hangout with me and my boyfriend and we sat there for 23 minutes with no service. When my dad finally called out to the male bartender who was serving somebody who had walked in quite a while after us the bartender rolled his eyes and still didn't come to check on us in the 5 minutes we waited before just leaving. Not a great experience and also not sure why we were treated that way as we didn't cause any issues that night prior to being shunned. But now after reading some other reviews I realize we are not the only people that have experienced service like this...

I didn't drink, but it seems as though there is a pretty average selection of draft beer, maybe above average for the type of bar that this is. SERVICE: The service was pretty good. My food came out pretty quickly and the bar maid was very friendly. As the place started to fill up more, I noticed that she was doing a good job at keeping up with all the orders.
