We went to the shop and they were so very nice and helped me get some shrimp and I'm a shrimp/seafood snob. The lady was so very nice the seafood fresh off the boat and everything was great. Local or tourist you've got to go here and get your seafood. Especially since they're a locally owned, family business, selling seafood gathered by local fishermen and women. The shrimp I bought was extremely large only $14.00 a pound and they threw in extra after ringing up the ticket. Who the heck does that nowadays?

It's a casual place so no $150 wines or $50 desserts, but I will say the desserts "look" like they should be pricy. The place is nice and appropriately rustic. The VIEWS are simply AMAZING. We split the crab cake dinner (perfect portion, flaky and flavorful) with a baked potato and collard greens on the side. Patricia (who claims she's a "hot Latina" but apparently can't handle a little spice) thought the collards were too fiery--more for me. I thought thy were perfect. Appetizers were killer: mussels swimming in garlic oil (with a generous portion of perfectly soft dipping bread) and seared ahi that melted in our mouths. Everything was fresh, beautifully prepared, and, honestly, priced way better than it could be. (don't tell them. I loving being able to afford to go here) Service was spot-on--attentive enough to keep the drinks flowing, but chill enough to let us stare at each other and play like we do at dinner without feeling rushed. The view? Stunning. Sunset on the water, boats drifting by--pure Georgia coastal magic. If you're near Kings Bay or just passing through, do yourself a favor and stop here. I don't see the difference at all between a large and jumbo. I will say they are meaty though. Each time I have purchased them there even smaller size are meaty just to expensive.
