The groomers are wonderful. My dog's first visit not used to the dryers. They took care of her no problems, noted no behavioral issues. Prices have gone up but that is every where. Just be sure to be on time or early when dropping off and picking up. They are very busy and run a tight strict schedule. Overall very pleased. read more

The person who grromed my dog is really nice and does an excellent job. On the other hand the woman on the front desk can be super rude and everytime we eent there she charged me between $70 and $90. The last time we were there she was not only extremely rude, she wanted to charge $120!!! read more

Tail Waggers treats our dog like a princess! They are very willing to groom our dog without bathing/drying her there (she has sensitive skin and can't handle a dryer, so we wash her the night before and let her air dry). We really like that we can make a specific appointment, and the groomers are always on time; our previous groomer had all their dogs brought in at about the same time and kept in crates for hours while waiting their turn. We've received great advice from the owner and groomers. Highly recommend!! read more

When we inquired about dog grooming and told the woman that our 6 pound poodle was feisty, she proceeded to tell us how the dog groomer also has a six pound toy poodle, and how he gets him to obey is to roll him on his back and hold him down by the throat until he listens. This was the cruelest thing I ever heard a groomer say to me. After saying that, we said thank you and proceeded to leave, but she kept on going on about it! Needless to say, we did not make an appointment, nor will we ever. I hope that none of you do either. read more

Tail Waggers has been THE only place I go for grooming or self-serve dog washing since pretty much their opening. I've found the owner, Terri, to be informative, kind, and compassionate. She has gone out of her way on several occasions to help me with my super-hairy, somewhat neglected chow. She coaches me on home grooming techniques and offers different washing areas with different equipment to expedite the bath, and be more thorough. Have I ever been late for a pick up or drop off? No. But I respect her business and the parameters she sets in order to provide the best experience possible. And Tailwaggers consistently delivers. Highly recommend. read more

I've been bringing my German Shepherd Logan here since he was a puppy and absolutely love this groomer! The staff is super nice and the owner does her best to squeeze you in even if it's last minute. Not to mention Logans coat is always so soft and shiny after a visit here. They do a great job cleaning his ears and clipping his nails short! I live 25-30 minutes north of the shop but find that it's worth the trip!!!! read more

Don't come here if you have a dog over 70 lbs. We have a great pyrenees weighing 110 lbs, so we needed a ramp to get him into the tall bathtub but the staff member didn't have one available. She had a very negative and rude attitude towards us and the animal. She expected us to lift the dog into a tub that was 4 feet high and when we couldn't pick him up she got very annoyed at us. I have taken my dogs to Tailwaggers for years now and they have always come out clean and trimmed up very well. The problem with this business and the reason I will no longer return is that the woman who answers the phones and checks the dogs in is very rude and lacks the most basics of customer service. Until the other day I was never late for an appointment. On this occasion I phoned to let them know I was running late. I was basically scolded for being 15 minutes late and informed that I had already been replaced! There was no accommodation made and I got the distinct sense that I had irritated her. Generally speaking I like to frequent local businesses, however, in this case I will be looking elsewhere. read more

I agree with C G. The staff is so rude. Last time I brought my dog in he had a couple of small mats and the staff yelled at my daughter when she picked him up asking who was in charge of brushing the dog. I brought him there to be groomed. So I started bringing him somewhere else where the staff was much more friendly. Well I accidentally made an appointment for him at Tailwaggers and my husband dropped him off. The staff was rude. My son picked him up today and she was not nice to him either. Never. Again. read more

This is the ONLY place I ever leave my dogs! My dogs are small but have loads of fur -- they require a lot of grooming and don't always "enjoy" it. The owners and staff at TailWaggers know just how to work with them! The dogs always look amazing and are never stressed out when I pick them up! You can also use the Do It Yourself dog wash sinks - with all supplies included! I highly recommend TailWaggers ! read more

If I could I would give this place no stars. Just going to cut straight to the point the staff was rude. First of all a place for animals you would feel they would acknowledge your beloved pet to make them feel comfortable, or maybe just a smile but no acknowledgment towards my dog and I'm sorry he's adorable and loves people. I wanted to do the "do it yourself" grooming and we usually use the hose bc he's too big for our tub. I admit he was scared getting in obviously bc it is new to him and when putting a treat down on the tub to see if that would get him a little more willing the staff member said "that's disgusting" about my Milkbone treat preceding to tell me how the red dye is bad not to mention what else is in it. Shaming me on what kind of treat I give my dog? Really? Had I asked for her input things may have been different or maybe offering a different treat and the benefits of another brand would be much better customer service but saying that's disgusting I mean come on. Anyways she kept saying how anxious he was "my goodness he's so anxious why is he so scared" I really just wanted her to get away from me. Had they never seen a dog who didn't want to get in the tub? In the end I decided not to do it there bc he was scared and what's a little dirt then putting him through trama. The only positive thing I can say is that they do have a nice selection of dog toys/treats but we headed over to Agway in Bethel,CT where they are always welcoming and friendly to dogs. Since we adopted our dog in October, we have brought her to Tail Waggers as it was local to us and I didn't know what to expect from a grooming service. I've always been delighted at the great grooming and exceptional customer service. I didn't know the types of cut she could have and they talked me through things, the different types of cut, lengths and what they would look like. They will do whatever I want. Our dog came to us with skin allergies and the chat I had with the owner was really useful as she gave me suggestions for dietary additions (general ones - NOT something she sold) that might help. I incorporated those into my dog's diet and she has not had a problem since. The foods in the store part of the business are definitely more into the natural, higher end brands and I think this is because the owner really knows what she is talking about and has loads of experience with dogs. She has never pushed anything on to me but I feel comfortable chatting about my dog's health. I'm always updated on how my dog has been during the grooming, whether she's settled, what they did, etc. She's never stressed or reluctant to be there. My dog is always ready when I ask for her to be and she is greeted with smile every time. So I'm delighted. Thanks! read more
